I agree. I think they suspected something within 24 hours, even if not the first night. (And I wouldn't be surprised if they had suspicions the first night.)
Reminds me of Susan smith

"Later investigation revealed that detectives doubted Smith's story from the start and believed that she murdered her sons. By the second day of the investigation, the police suspected that she knew their location and hoped that they were still alive. Investigators started to search the nearby lakes and ponds, including John D. Long Lake, where their bodies eventually were found. Initial water searches did not locate the car because the police believed it would be within 30 feet of the shore, and did not search farther; it turned out to be 122 feet from the shore."

Well after looking more it appears gps comes standard in a 2019 Kia Rio so I don't see how T wouldn't know it wasn't gonna be a viable option if she was trying to do something untraced in it. I have no idea about how it all works. We always have had older models of vehicles so now I feel a bit silly thinking it would even be a possibility such a new car wouldn't be obviously traceable. I am clueless in how car tracking works with the systems. So if it was obvious the car could be tracked, did she rent it as a diversion? Drive everywhere, but where he really is to tie up time and resources away from GS? She pisses me off.

I should have clarified, its my assumption or opinion that getting kicked out coincided with discovery of the video based on AS reaction is most logical.

No problem. This thing moves a mile a minute so wasn’t sure if I missed that.

Regarding the cars, I’d guess this has been discussed extensively already, so forgive me for very likely rehashing an old and exhausted topic, but I recall when SM mentioned Gannon cutting his foot in the garage, sitting on the edge of the car for her to bandage his foot, then Gannon making multiple trips to gate and back, many thought this could potentially be an effort to “presplain” blood evidence in/on one of the cars, in the garage, and along the path from garage to gate. In light of the recent rental car discussion, I’m wondering if perhaps some of the unusual car happenings could have been due being temporarily down one vehicle for three drivers. For instance, if one car needed to be cleaned or serviced in some way due to containing evidence of an incident one wished to conceal that involved blood, could that result in family members swapping remaining cars around and then renting an additional vehicle in anticipation of the return of the third driver? Were all vehicles being driven during that time? Apologies if this has long ago been asked and answered.

I haven’t caught up, sorry if this has been hashed to death, but I’m not ready to concede those miles were not hers :p...
I think she could have moved the body and that they are aware it would be near impossible to go looking for it with 900 miles distance to cover. She could have purposefully gone back and forth across those miles, doubling back, just in case the car could be tracked. (I’m already writing my next mystery). How would they even begin to search if that were the case. Dan May hung PF to dry with no body... The searches could be, as someone else suggested, for any forensics she may have left behind where they think the original dump site (so sorry G!) was. Pair/Match that with evidence in the rental car, they don’t have to find the body to prosecute.
JMO!
Regardless of if she did put close to a thousand miles on that car, I do think it’s a very real possibility that she did move the body. She needed that rental car for a reason, and it wasn’t an innocent one.

Gannon’s DNA has absolutely no business being there, and cadaver dogs should have no interest in that car.

Body or not, this woman is going down.

No it happened before that cctv became released.
I'm not sure whether she was really kicked out or merely said she was for drama. Sounded like she was angry with AS in that TV interview.
Impossible to fathom the dynamics of their relationship but she was responsible for taking care of Gannon and he disappeared under her watch. That alone may well have been enough for an argument.
I'm not even gonna go there in my thoughts...

He was a character from the tv show The Adams Family from the 70’s. He had his hair all covering his face.

Oh my goodness... live and learn.... i always thought his name is Cousin Ed, but it is Cousin It...:eek::eek:

Taking a break. Having too many user errors while try to post. My apologies.

Do you remember where the boxer shorts were found?
I hope this hasn't got anything to do with Gannon, but it's strange TS mentioned the accident of pooping pants after.
I do remember, I have SS but it was on SM, therefore we cannot discuss here.

Quick help: Any trick for clearing old quotes out of the message box? Is there one button that does this?

It was the K&G on Fountain Mesa Road. That’s only 4 or 5 miles from their house. Sorry if this has already been addressed; trying to catch up today.
I meant to type, "isn't", as fits with the entire phrase:

bbm
It isn't a far drive from their home but that stopover might have been included in their drive-around while searching for GS.

added in the above edit

I wanted to note AS and TS might have had an itinerary regarding their search efforts. It isn't many miles to say the least but I am not surprised the couple drove all over the area, likely revisiting locations as well as searching in new.

Update: I have been up and down this here internet and can’t find any credible LE or MSM mention of the RENTAL car being taken into evidence/impounded by police. If anyone can help an old guy out, hit me up.;)

  • #595
The car did serve a purpose. In my mind it was to scatter evidence. I'm just not ready to commit to Gannon being transferred in it yet. Subject to change.

Some timeline:

Jan 27, Monday, 10:15 am. TS and Gannon get into the red truck.
Monday 10:15-2:15, TS and Gannon are driving around the greater CS area, as far north as Castle Rock, exchanging exercise equipment for hockey equipment and looking at a bike for Albert. She got lost at one point. No mention of food stops. Gannon has some kind of electronic device with him.
Monday, 3:15 pm TS says she's exercising in the basement and that Gannon goes to an (unknown) friend's house. This is about the time that Gannon's sister would be coming home from school. Gannon does not take his phone.
Monday, 4:38 - TS says her daughter, HH, comes home.
Monday, 6:30ish, TS contacts AS about Gannon not being home, TS checks Gannon's phone and finds a Google search regarding whether parents can track an iPhone, concludes that he is a runaway, which is what she tells LE. LE does not mention the exact time of the call in its initial statements. Initially, LE states he was "last seen" between 3:15 and 4:00.
Monday evening: Some searching is done in Lorson Ranch.
Monday, around 7 pm: LE enters Gannon database into Missing Children's and Person's databases

Jan 28, Tuesday.

6:50 am approximate. TS leaves home to drive 100 miles north to DIA.
8:50 am TS rents a small Kia from Budget at DIA. She picks up Albert, who is flying in from Oklahoma. It is unclear exactly when his flight landed. TS drives AS, in the KIA, to CS to search "door to door" for Gannon.LE reports that officers and detectives are searching for Gannon "in between" other calls for service.
Late in the day (approximate) LH arrives from SC. Unclear who picks her up or which airport. She spends the night "talking to LE."
10:00 pm. LE is observed in the backyard of the Stauch home, searching with flashlights. One car is visible in the driveway.

At some point on Tuesday, AS speaks to MSM (KOAA) and says that Gannon left around 3:30. An earlier, unsourced MSM statement says that Gannon went to a friend's house "a few streets away." AS mentions the streetlight rule and how he texted all of Gannon's friends, none had seen him.

National Guard is involved in search. Weather turns colder, there is snow falling on Tuesday night in the region.

Jan. 29, Wednesday

11:00 am, approximate. TS leaves CS with the rental car to drive 100 miles to return the Kia.
1:20 pm. TS returns the Kia, receipt shows over 900 miles driven. No confirmation if this is correct. If correct, then 200 of those miles were conveying AS to CS and then taking the car back, leaving about 750 miles unaccounted for.

LH's aunt, Veronica Birkenstock, contacts LE to organize an "official search." Search is still focused in Lorson Ranch.

Evening: A vigil for Gannon, held in Lorson Ranch. 200 people have searched Lorson Ranch for 2 days. Drones and other tech is involved. They used a 10 mile radius. Homeless encampments were searched.

Jan 30, Thursday

LE is observed watching the Stauch house for "an extended period of time" in two cars. When two men and a woman emerge and get into "a truck" and leave, LE also leaves.

FBI gets involved. LE says they have "Persons of interest." LE does not name them.

School district tells the Gazette that Gannon was absent on Monday. One neighbor reveals he's been using a drone to search a 50 mile radius. Vacant houses are searched, LE contacts trash removal and landfill operators but does not search landfills at this time.

Jan. 31, Friday

LH makes another plea to help find Gannon, asking "Why is this happening to him?" Gannon's status is changed to "missing, endangered."

Friday, 2:40 pm. TS gives her first video interview, standing with her back to the camera at the edge of housing developments in Lorson Ranch. This is the interview where she mentions she had to leave the Mandan house without belongings, so she and daughter go to Marshall's to "buy underwear" where they are met by police. TS claims her civil rights were violated during an interrogation, that LE demanded car keys from her daughter, that daughter resisted giving keys, and was placed in the back of a police cruiser (apparently, at Marshall's parking lot).

TS reveals she is no longer at the family home. Perhaps she left on Thursday? Her location was widely shared on SM, but I do not think MSM shared it.

------------------
That Friday interview marked the beginning of what now looks like an active PR campaign by TS. She has been super active on social media for those few days (4 days after Gannon goes missing).

I think it could’ve been used for either purpose, moving body or evidence. Or both. But I just say “could have” because we don’t know what we don’t know. Maybe later we will find out something else that makes the rental car irrelevant.

I have had trouble with that too. It reappears. I just delete and type a new post.

Thanks. Not arguing but just to clarify for any newcomers: This is the timeline if you include everything TS says, but the majority of it goes out the window if you cut it down to what LE or MSM has confirmed through facts.

The rental car was picked up at DIA? Was it also returned to DIA?
