Maybe the hike on Sunday was scooping out locations to push someone off. What is the hike location like (I haven't seen any photos, in the UK) is it rocky?

Or maybe Monday morning he was sick and didn't want to go to school and this infuriated SM and she took him somewhere to kill him.

I would be retracing their hike location from Sunday.

IMO
You wouldn't be pushing anybody off of anything in Garden of the Gods without others seeing. It's a few big loops of rock formations. It's gorgeous and I would hate for it to become a true crime attraction.

I am so surprised that those night time stamps were unrelated. Why even release them?

So there's no doubt that it was in the morning, not 10 pm Sunday? With all the times we've heard that nothing of Gannon showed up on Monday daytime vids, how could they have missed this in broad daylight?

I still wonder about his choice of words...camera so sensitive with great audio that could detect garage doors, alarms, etc. Why did he say that?

Actually this is a baby step in the good news department, maybe she passed him off to a relative or friend in spite re marital problems with her husband, if there were such problems.

Up until today, I figured that SM killed Gannon in a bout of rage. The revelation of what was seen on video, changes that for me.

It now seems overwhelmingly likely that she planned this. Whatever “this” is.

The press conference really didn't shed light on any of this. They are not even confirming a timeline. And when asked if they had spoken to the sm since the interview, she said she cannot comment. They can't even comment on whether or not she is complying with the police. If she were complying they would have said "yes" this only leads me to believe she isn't which makes her look even more guilty but this time with proof.

I read earlier on this thread (might have been thread #2 though) that Gannon Googled something along the lines of “can my parents find me if my phone is turned off?” before he disappeared.

Could it be possible that the SM took his phone and searched that instead to make it look like he ran away on his own?
Absolutely

LE does NOT want that info out there.

We want information. They want conviction.

How frustrating for LE to be thwarted by social media. One outlet abides while another scoops it.

I hope nothing here on WS jeopardizes justice.

Agreed it's what LE are not saying.

Right because the only reason to lie and say he left for a friends at 3-4:15 pm Monday is because you know he did not and know why he did not - and as the other parent finding this out after a week of a missing child - it can only mean one thing IMO
She disappeared him

Come one LE name your POI please

Does naming a POI by LE change the status in the LE investigation? I know it does here. But does it give the person some benefits? Or negative points?

Hi all. Last I was here was for Shanann Watts and girls... and before that Jessica Ridgeway. Probably other notable Colorado cases over the years. All heart breakers.

I thought the press conference would be the expected devastating news, but it was just an update.

Sorry playing catch-up I’m here for 2 days now. So what does the video purportedly show? A red truck leaving with Gannon? Is it daytime in the video?

Thanks

This is so heartwrenching. Sick to my stomach. Curious if the Husband reached out to his wife after seeing the video? Like " I know your a liar!" WHERE IS MY SON!!"

In my experience following many cases it turns the heat up - deep background can be done, tips can be called in with the naming of an actual person - but it doesn’t necessarily lead to anything - I’m following Cheryl Coker and nothing on him so far ...

I'm seven pages behind and this is so sad. If she did something that caused his death that's horrible. If she took him alive and left him somewhere by himself, then there are no words. I really believe something happened at home, inside the house. Especially, if carpet was replaced or pieced. It is possible to get that done in a day. I had experience once with a bottle of nail polish that my little boy got ahold of. After trying everything I could think of, I called the carpet dealer and they were there in about an hour. They pieced it and it looked perfect. Nobody else would have ever known.
This got me thinking about a scenario.

Perhaps she lost her temper with Gannon, and injured him in some way. If those injuries left marks, she knew she wouldn’t be able to explain it to Gannon’s father.

So in order to cover up an act of abuse, she killed Gannon.

Thank you @toevlugsoord!

The police sergeant (Sgt. Deborah Mynatt) speaking is not only compassionate but highly professional and clear in her statements and replies.

We now know that SM is the one who called 911 around 6:55 pm on Monday and that the info she provided is what led them to believe G was a runaway. Did I understand that correctly?

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed as off topic>

I was surprised the police hadn’t already obtained video footage from any and all cameras in the vicinity. And I can’t imagine trying to investigate something like this with so many rumors flying and poi people talking on social media. They must have a full time internet crawling investigator.

Yes! She doesn't have that hard look in her eyes that so many officers get after years of seeing the worst of the human race. I think the EPSO did good by having her do the presser. Seeing the compassion in her face brings the fact that this is about a lost innocent little boy back to the spot light.
