When a child goes missing, many departments look around the house and then begin to look for cameras on homes/garages and on doors. They canvas and knock on doors. It seems odd that they would not have done this given she stated that he left the house to go to a friends. If I were the LEO, I would want to see if he left the house and got picked up, left the house and carried nothing or a suitcase or a backpack, or if he never left the house. It would give good insight. The recent case of Harley Dilly had him leaving his home early in the morning. They were able to say what he was wearing and what he did or didn't have. It is a little mindboggling that they are in this for a week with no surveillance gathering attempts made--unless LEO did have the tapes but were keeping it on the DL.

2400 man hours for tbe search and the neighbors not asked for their video?

Just a guess about the video range (focus) of the camera, but I suspect he might have it focused on the right side (right side if you're at the house facing the street) of his driveway and rock side yard there, for a reason. Maybe he has a doorbell/doorway cam that captures the other side of the driveway as well as the front porch/door? A lot of people have more than one cam and it's focused on different areas of the property, so I'm just guessing here.

If it's a motion sensitive camera with tracking, it picks up motion and focuses on it. So he's not necessarily "aiming it" at the neighbor's houses.

Sounds to me like that "doctor's appointment" rumor might be something she told Gannon - he wasn't feeling well (possibly due to someone else's hand) so she told him they were "going to the doctor."

News has arrived in the UK. Daily Mail picked up the story:

Surveillance video appears to show missing 11-year-old Gannon Stauch leaving with STEPMOM | Daily Mail Online

Roderrick Drayton, the neighbor who's camera picked up the footage, said the beginning of the clip shows Leticia backing a pickup truck into the driveway before Gannon leaves the house a short time later to get in the backseat.

Drayton added that his surveillance camera then showed Leticia returning home around 2.19pm, getting out of the truck and going inside the house, but Gannon is not seen.

Footage from 2.19pm to the time Gannon was reportedly last seen is not available, but the sheriff's office said earlier this week officers had no surveillance video showing the boy leaving the property.

Drayton said when he showed the clip to Albert Stauch, he burst into tears and accused his ex-wife of 'lying' about Gannon walking to a friend's house.

The neighbor told ABC News: 'I caught Gannon [on camera] getting into her vehicle at 10.13 Monday morning.

'He [Albert Stauch] just broke down crying and said, ''she lied, she lied about the time. He didn't go to a friend's house''.'

Letecia also known as 'Tecia', was the last person to see Gannon and denied having anything to do with his disappearance.
Thanks !! Added to the media thread

I do feel that she didn't intend to hurt him, that he had a medical emergency such as appendicitis and he passed away in the car. Her personality in the interview does make me think she is the type to believe she would be blamed (I.e BM saying she would never have let that happen) and she panicked and disposed of him and came up with the runaway theory on her way back rather then face family.

All in my opinion only

But if that happened, how would she know he passed away rather than was unconscious and in need of an ambulance? Did she actually listen to his heart stop instead of calling an ambulance? Or sit there watching him for a long time without calling? I can't even imagine it going down like that, sorry.

Do you then wonder why she didn't just say so?

Lot of cameras?. Too many? Common man has this kind of money for this?. New neighborhood, nice houses but protected his house like fort knox?. Video missed by L.E?. who finds the new video? What does he do with it? What should he have done with it? How did he find it again? Oh - just exploring various options - She know him? IMO

I still wonder if he was vomiting, and maybe she backed in so he wouldn’t have to walk so far to the car. Maybe she brought a bag for him in case he got sick again? I’m having trouble reconciling possibly nurturing behavior with what I think she ultimately did though.

I'm only on page 2 so this might have already been said further up,but it's not necessarily nurturing behaviour she might just not have wanted to have the extra mess to clear up!

BBM:

Well, sure…this isn't a trial, and we aren't a jury. So there's that.

All's I know is, I'm not ready to apologize to anyone yet.

Hoping Thread #4 is the one that sees GS found.

Time for Roll Call!

Who's Here for Gannon?

I'm in!

In my biggest stretch of imagination I can see her feeling guilty if he had been complaining all night and she told him to tough it out because she didn't want to get up and drive him to the ER. However, I absolutely think she would have lied in a different way and it would have been regarding his illness and her negligence. Such as "he woke up with a stomach ache, it didn't seem that bad, he went downhill very fast" and she would have taken him to the ER and played hysterical concerned parent. It is extremely *strange* to me that if he died from a NATURAL medical condition she would leave a fake search on his phone and pretend he ran away

I really would like to know how often she drove the truck. Some people have said it looks like she may have taken a bag in the truck in case Gannon vomited . If it was the father's primary vehicle, he would notice any dirt, or mess that was not there when he last drove it. I would think LE would check every car wash video in the area for that truck. Jmho.

Coming in late on missing young Gannon but don't like what I've seen so far....

Stepmother who last saw missing Colorado boy addresses online rumors

snipped

"I would never, never, ever hurt this child"

Gives me the chills. Would she even go there if innocent? If secure in your knowledge that you are innocent and a child you love is missing, would you care about social media rumors that are bound to come out? Last person to see him, "evil stepmother" stereotype.....does it matter? Wouldn't you be heartbroken and more concerned with finding a child lost on your watch? I have seen missing children case where a young child did run off and there is always plenty of online speculation about the parents.....never did those parents come on tv and say all that....they just cried and talked about the search.

“Common man” has many cameras. I think everybody in my neighborhood has a camera or 5 of some sort on their property. They really are NOT the expensive and super easy to use (I also have them). So if I go missing from my house I guarantee someone will have it on their footage.

Yes. All videos on all roads and carwashes. Now that its clearly a crime, is she in jail for neglect at least?

***Watched video on big screen and saw something that I didn't see last night.

Gannon's missing flyer said he was last seen wearing jeans, sneakers and blue coat/hoodie.

On video Gannon is clearing wearing dark leisure pants with obvious WHITE STRIPE.

Have appointment so will be gone for awhile but wanted to point out this fact. Glad I watched video on my Vizio.

What hand does she use to open and close the truck door in the video?

I thought about this today. I am right-handed but I always use my left hand to open the car doors on the driver side of my vehicle.

When asked about the video Tuesday, Sgt. Deborah Mynatt declined to comment.
"Please understand, we wanted that kept ... because it is a big part of our investigation. And to share it immediately, we hope will not be detrimental, we hope it will not jeopardize the investigation," she said.
"And as a law enforcement agency, that's the worst we could do is to purposely and intentionally jeopardize any investigation."
