Sorry I haven’t fully caught up on this thread since last night. Are we allowed to discuss video?

Another question is if the boy exited the truck on the passenger side then the video would not have picked that up, correct?

... I think I would opt to tossing something over the side of what I assume would be a cliff that leads to nowhere.

That really makes sense. Especially since it is winter and who knows how frozen the ground would be and how difficult that would make for digging a grave, even if it is a small child's grave, in such a short time frame. Doesn't mean it can't be done though with a motivated individual.

Was it confirmed that TS called LE? I thought I read earlier that it was never established and that during a press conference, LE referred to "he" called police?
There were apparently 2 calls, the first from SM 7.55pm approximately, the neighbor apparently made a call at 8.30pm or thereabouts , after BF contacted him checking on gannon..

Playing catch up!
That blue bag on the wall looks exactly like the shape and size she was carrying out to the truck. It also looks like there is a second empty hook next to it. :( She could have used the bag for something else and left the bow on the ground.

The blue bag on the wall, IMO, looks like a soft ball bag. I think it was in one GH videos it was said BD/SM both played soft ball. The shape and size, IMO, looks like one of the bags that you carry bats/balls in.

One thing I noticed about the video is it seems to be all about other people's property than the owners property. The way the camera is angled it would not seem to offer much help in security aspects of the owners property. Perhaps it is by design of the total security cameras system this one camera offers a long range shot of street and adjoining property. Question I have though is how do we know this is the stepmom and boy? All I can get from the video is there are 2 people who entered the truck. This doesn't provide positive ID in my opinion. MOO.

In the MSM video that first aired about the the footage (I’m on my phone, when I find my laptop charger I’ll come in and insert the link. I apologize!) it shows where the camera is on the neighbors house. It’s positioned on the far right of the garage between the top of the garage door and the eve of the roof. MOO I bet it captures his whole driveway, but maybe when they were showing the footage they cut that part out. Cause yeah, it would be kinda weird for his camera to be pointed at other people’s houses.

I think the video(s) floating around aren't the original, it appears they are likely cellphone videos of the original playing on a tv and/or computer screen, so vid quality is diminished.

When you look at the 6 mins video you can definitely tell that it’s a recording of the owners tv. Especially about halfway through they zoom closer and reposition whatever they were recording it on. This gives me hope that the copy LE has is much much clearer and can see things we are just guessing about.

I hope today is the day he is found. Or at least somebody (SM) is attested. I’m not a huge believer in the afterlife. But I hope to everything there is a special place in hell people go that hurt children. Ugh.

Yes, but no discussions about pet stores or carpet.

Good question. I think that we might be able to see it because the truck has a pretty good clearance off the ground and we'd see his feet. Maybe when the video itself is released we'll be able to see more clearly since what we're looking at is a recording. And hear. I think audio could be a big part of this. We would be able to hear two doors shut instead of one. We might be able to hear them talking to each other before the truck pulls out

Good morning all...
Woke up this morning with this idea in my head and it just wont quit.
-SM claims she is Native American... If Gannon was alive while in Colorado Springs theb was taken out on the Reservation and a crime was committed there then it would change everything on the way this whole thing is handled. Even trying to recover a body would be difficult.
Just an idea

This is what I just thought about too. I watched the video many times, and I just don’t think I could be able to tell if little feet got out. But, the neighbor stressed how amazing the sound was, garage doors, car alarms, etc. That leads me to believe it would also pick up a car door being closed. IMO, I think that is a big piece to this footage. Only one car door is heard being shut.

Oh man, that is certainly a thought. I believe her family is members of the Lumbee tribe. From what I understand, they’re located in NC. I don’t know if she has relatives or friends in tribes in the Colorado area
ETA link- .Tribes
According to this article there’s only 2 federally recognized tribes in Colorado.

this makes sense. I had read an article that GS had texted AS asking to go to a particular friends house. AS then tried calling GS, was unable to contact him, AS then called LS, who said he left for the friends house, AS then called said friends father and then the rest of friends parents. So, interesting that LS did not make the call until AS called her.

Idk. Personally, I doubt it. Her tribe is on the east coast and she has no known ties to any tribes in the Colorado area considering they moved there due to her husband's military orders and not for family reasons. I can't see her driving the 5+ hours one way to the nearest reservation in the 4 hours she was gone to dump a body, plus risk tribal police rolling up on her. I mean...I know a lot of the people on my rez, so I'd remember some rando chick and her kid asking me directions to the nearest abandoned, secluded dirt road lol. She'd also have to know her way around their land and all the back roads and fire lanes. Meh.

Kudos to all who have been watching and re-watching the videos and great job on all the various observations, many of which I missed seeing. I gave up after the 4th time last night and will re-watch again today with fresh eyes.

A thought struck me today....could investigators have seen that footage early on and deliberately made mention of NOT seeing Gannon on camera in order to catch stepmonster off guard when they interviewed her?

It would be to their benefit to get her story first before telling her they know she was lying.

Perhaps that is why they said she was uncooperative? Maybe they told her that they knew her story wasn't lining up, but didn't tell her how they knew (based on the video footage they had seen.)

LE could have told AS from the get-go that her story was off (not disclosing the reason why) and maybe that is why she was asked to leave the home?

I hope she cracks under the pressure today and tells them where he is. Self preservation may kick in. It's likely she is now safer in jail than out, since the world knows for sure what a liar she is.

It's unlikely because the whole search up until Sunday was focused on a walking child missing and endangered.
A driven child would have required an entirely different search methdology.
I would NOT like to have been either of the 2 7hr gazing cops when their chief found out about it. Betcha they got a roish good chewing. If that is the way it all went down.
At least they didn't try covering it up, but having another go at social media talkers does not help their cause at all.
For all we know, they could have interviewed her and she could have already mentioned she left the house early to go do whatever but possibly omitted any mention of bringing Gannon with her... something set off their alarms bigtime on Sunday morning.

We don't know what account she gave of her day.
We only know that she was allegedly home with Gannon when he allegedly left at the time he apparently was not there.

She'll at least be getting sued for false information, a multi expensive search party, including the FBI.... she's in big trouble but I hope they don't arrest her before they find him. It's kinda back to the drawing board again now, a week wasted.

I'm hoping that the original footage will give a more definite description of the clothes he was wearing and any bags or other items that could be used to hold a small body that are currently missing from the house.
They will get her, if she's guilty.
I reckon they'll skip the foreplay with this one when they do- there will be no POI stage and they'll go straight for an arrest, if not a Grand Jury.
And hopefully an exorcism.
I'll stop now, cold rage rising up inside me.

My guess from watching the video is that SM likely confiscated his phone in the car and took it back inside with her own. She worked in education - she must have at least a vague idea about phone tracking and its uses by LE. Speaking of which, what time was the search made on Gannon's phone or computer about parents being able to track phones?

I am dumbfounded that LE and especially the FBI did not ask everyone on the block to allow them to personally review their security footage. Why leave it up to neighbors to do on their own? Why was this not the first thing done when SM had her "I demand an attorney" interview with LE? I am less concerned about media leaking the footage than LE not having eyes on this video to begin with from Day 2. I am disappointed. People have been thinking and searching like he ran away in the critical first week. How did this ball get dropped? I am usually a huge fan of the FBI, CBI in these cases - but I can't help but think this is a basic thing to have been done very early on.
I think people forget about a couple of things when it comes to home security footage. First off, LE cannot make you give them your footage. Second is the time that it takes to review the footage.
Now, most people are honest and want to be helpful. They will turn it in voluntarily or watch it themselves and notify LE if they see anything suspicious. However, what if you’re dealing and people are coming to the house at all hours? What if you’re having an affair with a married man or woman? These are a couple of reasons why you might not be as forthcoming with your video.
As for timing, if you want video from roughly when they got home from their hike on Sunday until he allegedly left on Monday afternoon, you are talking at minimum of about 24 hours of video by the number of cameras in the neighborhood. Doing the math, if you have 20 cameras times 24 hours, you have 240 hours of video to go through. That is 10 days of manpower. It is very tedious work and then you have to decipher what you are seeing and track down a person or vehicle.
Even seeing what we’ve seen on the neighbor’s video, do you know what happened to Gannon?

I thought about this today. I am right-handed but I always use my left hand to open the car doors on the driver side of my vehicle.
Oddly, this comes up often in cases where surveillance video is examined. Many people who are right handed, use their left to open the driver's door on their vehicle. I had never even thought about it until it came up here years ago, and sure enough, I do too.

Yep! That's what got me too. He mentioned about how good the audio on his cam is. I was reading a thread where someone was saying her own cams were able to pick up a conversation from two women across the street talking about how bad her grass looked lol, so I know they probably have good mics. I'll wait for the actual video to be released before drawing any conclusions on any passengers. For me, right now, the video is just too blurry/grainy to be sure of anything.

It makes sense, because you’d have to have your arm go across your chest, preventing entry, if you opened it right handed, due to the way the door opens. I bet most people use their right hand to open the passenger side doors opposite.
