Right. But, we didn't see him come home, didn't see him leave to go to his friend's and he is missing since that day.

I’m sure they are going through all cameras again for the time periods that are on the released footage. I’m particularly interested in directly across the street, so see if she in fact had carried something out to the car while at the curb.

looks like her house and the neighbor on the other side have joint driveways. Wonder if they have a camera on their side.

Here’s a few more screenshots that I had saved of SM’s hands. Her left thumb appears to have a small cut/abrasion and her right index finger might also look swollen/blistered.

Interesting theory. That actually seems plausible. I've been sitting here wondering how they could NOT have seen this "game changing" footage.

The best I could come up with is that when they viewed this footage, they were looking for a missing child, and were believing SM's story that she had seen him at 3pm. The police didn't arrive monday night until 10pm. Maybe they only watched the footage from 3-10pm?

MOO

I don’t think they watched any footage at all that first night. But when they did start looking it was after they had reason to reclassify the case from runaway to endangered missing.

I think they believed her at first. Until they probably talked to dad and analyzed the situation a bit.

We don’t know the timeline here. We don’t know when they viewed 6-7 hours of footage at the neighbor’s home and we don’t know that they missed anything.

Also, that footage showing him leaving but SM coming back alone doesn’t have anything to do with the search. They classified him pretty quickly as endangered. (I think a couple days?) Why would they tell the public about a crucial piece of evidence while they are working the case? It doesn’t mean people should stop searching for him. We don’t know where she went.

For sake of discussion, what if Gannon was sick from appendicitis or some other intestinal condition like a strangulated hernia, that progressed to the critical stage, and she was taking him to an urgent care or walk in facility and he died in the back seat on the way. What could possibly be her motive to dispose of his body rather than continue on to the hospital? Did she think that she would be blamed in some way so seriously that she panicked and tried to cover it up?
In that case her motive would be an attempt to hide the fact that she gave him far too much arsenic for his age and size and it would almost certainly be detected on autopsy.

Cadaver dogs can pick up scent just within seconds of a person dying. Decomp not required.
If she had killed him on the drive by strangulation or some such thing, it's possible a good dog would pick up the scent.
Assuming she killed him in the car..
but she was bringing 'thing's when they were setting off.. It is possible, if not likely that she returned with some of these 'things' she had brought with her to complete her mission.
The 'things' may be the reason for the house trawl yesterday..
Maybe a heavy duty bag needed to be brought for a short walk prior to dumping... thus blistered palms...

That was probably what I was trying to say. Death scent.

Good morning all...
Woke up this morning with this idea in my head and it just wont quit.
-SM claims she is Native American... If Gannon was alive while in Colorado Springs theb was taken out on the Reservation and a crime was committed there then it would change everything on the way this whole thing is handled. Even trying to recover a body would be difficult.
Just an idea
She’s Lumbee which has federal recognition but no federal rights. Very complicated legal situation but Lumbee have no tribal land anyway and no federal rights as natives. They are based in NC.

I agree. Someone mentioned he could’ve exited the other side of the car. That’s possible. And so the neighbor’s camera didn’t pick him up. And it’s possible he left the house and didn’t come into camera range when leaving as their is a whole other side to the house that may not have a camera there.

I don’t believe this for one moment. But I guess it’s possible.

I took another poster's advice and watched the 6 minute video on my Vizio. It looks like a white plastic bag in her hand, not her hat, to me ??? I don't have 4k, and what I watched was film of a tv video- who knows??

Edit- my worry is that the truck has been used for the last week (as seen in the picture I posted up thread), and has not been forensically searched/impounded, etc.

Have the police taken the truck away or at least stopped anyone using it?

That makes sense on why she would wear a shirt that covered her hand. I know those shirts are popular, but that would be perfect of you are trying to keep an injury covered.

Kudos to all who have been watching and re-watching the videos and great job on all the various observations, many of which I missed seeing. I gave up after the 4th time last night and will re-watch again today with fresh eyes.

A thought struck me today....could investigators have seen that footage early on and deliberately made mention of NOT seeing Gannon on camera in order to catch stepmonster off guard when they interviewed her?

It would be to their benefit to get her story first before telling her they know she was lying.

Perhaps that is why they said she was uncooperative? Maybe they told her that they knew her story wasn't lining up, but didn't tell her how they knew (based on the video footage they had seen.)

LE could have told AS from the get-go that her story was off (not disclosing the reason why) and maybe that is why she was asked to leave the home?

I hope she cracks under the pressure today and tells them where he is. Self preservation may kick in. It's likely she is now safer in jail than out, since the world knows for sure what a liar she is.

@bradfordsleuth check out Gray Hughes’ latest video on YouTube. I was also struggling to see barely anything other people were seeing in the videos until I watched his. He manipulates the color/lighting and adds a filter(s), and slows it down a bit, too, which really clarified it for me! :)

could be something as simple as her purse or tote bag because she knew she would need both hands ot help him.

She is also carrying a handbag(? ) in her left hand that dangles down during the video. I’m speaking of the long item under her right arm area that she places in the truck.

  • #614
Unless he went to the other way and no camera is facing the other side of the house.

But I don’t think he did.

MOO in the video you can see under the truck completely.
and see anyone getting out either side.

There is a strip of light on the ground between the truck and the adjacent vehicle in the driveway.
This strip of light would show any legs or feet descending from all doors to exit the truck both sides.

Sounds like something to be used as "reasonable doubt". The problem with media releasing the video, now she knows what they have. I can just hear a defense attorney saying it at trial.

we do not, sadly.
We just know the search area is altered completely because this was not a walking boy, this was a driven child who did not run away from home or arrange to meet a friend.
If when as a senior policeman you sent two rookies or even experienced officers, 2, for 7 hrs to somebody's house to examine CCTV footage and a week later and thousands of $s later something like this came to light and it turned out they'd missed it what would you say to them?

What evidence do you have that they missed it? And how do you know when they viewed it? They updated him from a runaway to endangered missing four days after he disappeared. It appears they believed he was a runaway at first. So no need for them to view footage that could show the home and who was going in and out.

At some point they began combing through all the video evidence. They announced that on 1-30-20. So a couple days had probably passed.

Once they did so, they would have no reason to tell the public what they found.

I thought I posted this earlier but now cannot find my post (not sure if it was deleted for some reason). Excuse if its a double post.

In watching the six-minute version of the security video, did anyone else notice around the 3:58 mark that when she pulled out of the driveway, something seemed to "bounce" or move in the back of the pick-up truck?

Her boldness shocks me. Seriously.
Might be part of the reason she pulled a Morrison on the news video. Hmmmm

Yes. Which is one reason why they like to keep a tight wrap on things.
