It could also be that the DA was there to inform them personally that he'd been found and that they left to do an identification. Whatever they found, they might be looking for more evidence in the home to corroborate so that they can tie this up tightly and no one gets away with anything.

Now, having said that, I hope he's found alive and I hope that whoever did this to him, he's able to sing like a songbird and put them away.

I think that would be included in a search warrant, which would require a judge to sign off on it.

I think this dad is like most parents in this situation, and wouldn’t have an issue with that anyways.

Hypothetically on an unnamed social media outlet, there was a gathering of cops cars around an abounded building not too far from where the searches were being conducted. In this hypothetical situation I'm not sure if it's related.
I hypothetically saw that someone said it was most likely PD training? Again, no idea.

Who writes a warrant? LE? DA?

Most places, it can be either - but it has to be signed by a judge. In larger jurisdictions, both the DA and the PD will have their own detectives/investigation. Not sure about El Paso County, CO but I'm guessing the DA/LE are working very closely together and there were no objections to the search warrant, which the judge apparently deemed reasonable (I'd think so - child is missing, last known place was at that house).

My hope is that they have some idea of the motive behind Gannon's disappearance and hope to find some evidence, somehow, inside the residence.

No.

Just no.

Little boy should be gaming. Sonic.

Not this.

(I have no inside information, just a terrible, sinking feeling.)

Why would a DA go out to the house? Is this process or theatrics?

I have seen this before. Usually right after or before filing charges. Fwiw. Most DA's will visit scenes related to a murder.

She wanted to lawyer up before she was even charged with a crime. If she wasn’t cooperative then, I don’t see her suddenly cooperating now.

When and if she is charged, I don’t anticipate her undergoing an interview with anyone, unless it’s in the context of making a deal.

So Tammy won’t get to work her magic here.

Reporters have video on twitter of the family leaving before the DA arrived.

Hypothetically, 10 cars are probably not training for most of the day.
Not when the DA is at Gannon's

Ah. I was just positing a theory. I don't use Twitter so I hadn't seen any videos.

“District Attorney Dan May and detectives were just inside the home of missing boy 11-yr-old Gannon Stauch. They removed shoe covers as they left. When I asked if this has turned into a criminal investigation - DA May would only say to direct questions to EPCSO #KDVR
