Is there a fireplace in the house? OMG, not liking where my thoughts are going.

Maybe when the red truck came back and SM got out, GS was out across the back seat (sleeping or unconscious) and was left there to sleep it off. Later was checked on and found to be gone. JMO.

Initials of Relevant Case Players:

GS = Missing Child
AS = GS's dad
LH = GS's mom

TS = GS's stepmother

*Any others I need to add here?
I have an hour to edit.

Step-sis?

Well...the SM was the problem for me. Her legal initials are LS or LH (depending on which MSM we read). But she goes by TS or TH, or...simply, "T." I, for one, am not willing to call her by a nickname. So LS is what I'd use.

I had to comb through articles and ask here to learn that BD has a first name (so his initials are AS). His ex-wife (the BM) is LH if we use her maiden name. IOW, her initials are the same as the SM's maiden name. Since I prefer consistently and do not like nicknames used only by family...

...shall it be AS for BD, LH for BM, LS for SM?

(I don't think it's easy to devise a system for this one).
I haven’t seen MSM using the stepmothers maiden name, but I think using their legal name initials would be best.

Is there a reason we’re using BD, BM, and SM here instead of their actual initials? Whenever I see SM I think social media.
I totally agree! We need a cheat sheet on every page.

MOO MOO

I believe she did injure him and I'm going to bet my bottom dollar that something went on in that house SUNDAY NIGHT and it carried over into Monday.

I do not believe for a minute that she tried to take him to a Doctor or to help. She took him somewhere to hide what she had done to him.

I believe there is WAY more on those videos than we are hearing and/or seeing at this time.

Something HORRIBLE happened in that house. LE knows it, Tee knows it, DA knows it and WE know it.

We will find out. Patience is not a virtue of mine, but I'm willing to hang in and LE do their job. They want to get whoever disappeared our boy as much, if not more, than us.

I don't believe there will be a happy ending the way want it, but I have hope that Justice will prevail for Gannon.

AGAIN MOO

I think she injured him badly in the house. Was headed to the doctor or hospital and he either passed away on the way there or she realized that she couldn't explain away the injury or he wouldn't keep quiet about it, so she either disappeared him on the way home, or he was in the back of that truck when she returned and backed in the driveway. In that case, I'm not sure where he is now?? Maybe that's why they will be there for days?? MOO.
I’ve followed so many of these cases but this is odd for me because we actually see him on video with her and he does not appear incapacitated/ we can surmise that he is possibly drugged or half beaten or she created an “accident” where he was stunned but still able to walk - BUT we don’t know if they returned and left again and he was in a different state and then she returns at the 2ish mark alone - that 4 hours could be a game changer for me - we simply do not know but ... based on the return of crime scene folks I’m gonna guess that there was an injury they now know about and they are collecting the evidence In support of

imo
I’m also curious if they have indoor cameras - we do and I set up a thread for advice from Others who do have them since they have become crucial in his disappearance imo would love to have the input from our faithful sleuthers TIA

ita upthread (or a couple back) @Tricia requested that we use initials. It'd be so much easier!
It would be easier to use real initials, for example SH (Sally Hanks).

BBM:

Absolutely.

During the investigative phase, LE's actions will often belie their words.

Watch their actions.

What LE is doing right now tells you a lot more about what they're really thinking than what their spokespeople are saying.

This is a full-on criminal investigation.

DA May wasn't at the house looking under the bed to see if GS was hiding there.

Dan May doesn't go to the homes of runaways and stay for an hour.

His time is valuable.

His job is prosecuting crimes.

JMO.
With Dan May going there I’m ok with the wait he crosses his t’s and dots his i’s I trust him after how he handled Kelsey’s .

If we start changing initials now people like me will really be confused :D

I believe it's "edited to add." It's confusing to me, too. I always initially read it as "estimated time of arrival."

As far as the parents and initials, someone mentioned there's only one dad, so why call him BD. Well, there's really only one mom in this story too. I'm not sure why we don't just call them mom, dad, and <some name not against TOS>.

Quick question for the group:

Has GS's older stepsister's name been published in MSM and if so, can someone please provide the link here?

Since she's a minor, I don't want to add her initials to the cheat sheet unless she's been named in MSM.

Not necessarily. LE released an official statement the other day that the crime scene van is also used at non-crime scene ummm.......crime scenes(?)

Or something to that effect....

What I meant is that the family left (was asked to leave?)

And now, the CSI will be there for...days. To all intents and purposes, it's now (finally) a crime scene, with no more opportunity for anyone what CSI to manipulate or document the scene.

Presumably, if the family cannot go in their own house, neither can anyone else (so...it's basically a crime scene).

Right. If their real names have been published in MSM, then we should use their initials ... and if we really don't remember their name or initial, it really isn't all that difficult to type the words bio dad, bio mom or stepmom.

I keep trying to figure out what could’ve possibly happened in the house prior to the stepmother leaving with Gannon. What could’ve injured him bad enough to POSSIBLY cause his death eventually? That boy left that house. To be fair, it did look like he was having trouble walking/getting in the car. It looked like she was helping him to get in the car. And then, it took him so long to close the door. Something wasn’t right. If he was having trouble moving, then I can’t see him being able to get his jacket on. Would she even bother to put his jacket on for him if she was going to do something to him? Something went VERY wrong.

I can’t believe search warrants can’t be issued when a child is dangerously missing and the adult last in charge of him has lied. That should have been automatic...jmo.

It pretty much is automatic. However, surely you don't mean that it should just be submitted (by anyone) to a computer? The official channel is...through the courts, as it should be. But judges are used to being awakened to approve emergency search warrants, and LE knows when it's an emergency.

Without checks and balances on this (IOW, if it were truly automatic), we'd all be at risk for any-time-any-reason search and seizure.
