Just a quick little PSA for those following the #GannonStauch story. #FindGannon

Yeah, as if this morning, I have completely left all the GS groups on FB/SM. I couldn't handle it anymore. There is a difference in discussing a case and the possibilities with facts and what has been put out in MSM, than 🤬🤬🤬🤬-shaming, attacking, death threats, immaturity by grown a*s adults. It's insane out there. I couldn't imagine how frustrating it is for LEO to have to vet all those rumors on top of trying to find GS.

This is classic from her... 'wasn't his fault'
and the
'2 nice detectives'
She fancies her chances there, I bet...
What an operator..
Wonder what strategies she used and whether she flirted with them..
She appears to totally
lack all insight into the seriousness of a missing child, this thin little child in just a tiny t-shirt and a light fleece..
I noticed him in the daughter's video about a hike.. offside on his own, expected to manage the trail, so few clothes.. so hard to imagine he was hugged and loved , he reminded me of a little bird with a broken wing, unloved and superfluous to this drama family his father had married..
he was there, included, but superfluous at the same time.
I saw no verifiable evidence that anyone ever showed him love or kindness...just talk..
Was his living unloved as his possible passing?
Why do some children have loveless lives?

Because their parents are screw-ups, to put it bluntly. Ought never to have had kids (if not capable of love). In this case, AS ought not to have married TS nor left his son with her. Poor little guy.

So AS was somehow taken in by the machinations of this woman (who probably wanted a place to live and healthcare), a woman who is very used to making excuses/grifter-like behavior.

TS was at an age where her own bio-daughter was "launched," she was resentful of having to take care of the two kids. My sense is that she and AS were in the process of separating, that she no longer had financial reasons to want to take care of the kids, that she was and is vengeful and sees herself as more of a victim than anyone else in the story.

Her motives, therefore, would be to injure AS (yep, I'm doing an armchair diagnosis of narcissism) and to remove a nuisance from her own life. Gannon probably had little ways that reminded her of AS, she was stuck caring for him when it infuriated her further to do so. Perhaps he was sick and that was the final straw for her. I can just hear her self-centered inner dialogue, as she practically spilled it in the interview. "Why ME??" "This *$%^ kid!" "I'll show AS how powerful I am!"

If anyone can think of a way that TS is not responsible for Gannon's disappearance, given what we know...and what she does in her interview, I'd love to hear it.

That's the killer here.
That is the bit that says there is a strong possibility he may never be found.
If she is a frequent hiker I bet she has scoped out places where it's not safe to go near the edge...

She has said a lot of things. Some of which were bold faced lies. I tend to agree with those who suspect she likely just threw a fit & took her kid and stormed out, when LH was invited to the home to stay while Gannon is missing and the search is on for him. Or it's also possible she threw a fit and then was asked to leave. I really don't believe her own husband kicked her out of her own house - unless - he suspected she was responsible for Gannon's disappearance before he ever saw the neighbor's video.

JMO
JMO: I can imagine that AS asked LS if LH can stay with them, or just decided that she is staying with them in this difficult time, then LS said, somethin like: well, it is either her or me. We know the outcome. And she blames this now on her husband: I was kicked out of the house....

I have another thought about where she could have went in the time frame. IMO of course.

We all keep talking about her going west, but toward GoG, Woodland Park, Barr Trail area. But what if she DID go west, just in a different "area". Like down the 115 around Turkey Creek area. That is way less active than GoG/Woodland Park, still has trees, ravines, hidey holes. It's also close to Carson. With the assumption that AS unit is on Fort Carson she would be familiar with at least the area around Carson and the different gates you can go through. Which there a a few down the 115 so she may be familiar with that stretch of highway.

According to the Heavy article:
“Gannon’s father, Al, is in the Colorado National Guard and was in Oklahoma for training and returned to Colorado after his son was reported missing. He has been in the Army National Guard since 2005, first in South Carolina. He is currently an operations officer at the 100th Missile Defense Brigade.” (BBM)

I want to believe her story, that she'd never hurt him, but then I would think she'd be going to the news with the rest of the family or on her own to plead for help.
Her lack of doing so doesn't necessarily incriminate her, but it doesn't help her either. Why isn't the news mentioning that they've tried to reach her etc? Is she perhaps in custody and unavailable??

  • #288
that's what I'm thinking - they've had a few days to go through video on a suspected route - get her cell data possibly - I think they may find him (if he isn't in water) soon.
JMO
I hope so. After learning about all the remote and isolated places in that area I'm worried they won't find him.
She was gone for a very long time. I would think she wouldn't take her phone so she couldn't be tracked.
I don't know if the truck has GPS but I would think she would have known that, too.

Gannon Stauch: El Paso County Sheriff's Office again warns of 'mis-information' in search for missing boy

SABBM:

Amid extensive searches for missing 11-year-old Gannon Stauch, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday again warned that “mis-information that is being spread on social media” has been a “hindrance” to the investigation.

Deb Mynatt, another Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, told The Gazette Tuesday that the warning against social media rumors is a “general statement.”

“It takes our detectives’ precious time to review each and every tip,” she said.

Motive....

People ALWAYS have a reason.

I think we can safely cross off running away. So GANNON had no motive. (Bless is precious heart. That video of him gaming, what a happy kid!)

That leaves us with somebody else did something. We have a pretty good idea who the somebody is. Let's look at something. I want to know WHY.

Accidental.

Intentional.

Was it personal or was Gannon merely a means toward an ends for her? Healthy, sick, all the social media rumors aside, we are fairly confident he was healthy enough to hike on Sunday, alive and well. Last seen, we believe about 10:15 Monday morning. Alive. Those details seem pretty solid.

Did she disappear him in an attempt to create a drama which would bring, she could've imagined, her husband CLOSER to her? I think it's worth noting that in the short term, it did work. He came right home. (Didn't work out right away after that, but if that was her goal, she reached it for a minute. )

Was it personal? Just didn't want to take care of THREE children anymore? Eliminated ons. As a motive this doesn't resonate.

Was it self-preservation? As many of you have theorized, was it to cover up something else? An accident? A punishment (gone too far)? an assault? The obvious question, was Gannon INJURED as he walked to the truck at 10:15 that morning? Was she afraid he'd TALK? If so, what would she have been afraid he'd say?

What happened that day? At 10:15. And when did it START?

MY question is where did the premeditation begin? Was any of this on her radar prior to Sunday/Monday?

I can't read her in the interview. Overly defensive, underly empathetic. Off. It's just not the interview you'd EXPECT.... so why? Interviews poorly, could be. Innocent and indignant, could be. Just doesn't SEEM to be.

I'm trying to figure out JUST HOW LONG a person had, to put together a disposal plan. Weeks? Days? A day? Hours? Before or after 10:15?

When TS got in the truck at 10:15, did she know exactly where she was going?

Just my opinions and questions.

My thought is she is the type who is always a victim. SHE has to do the hard stuff while her husband is away. SHE is judged by bio mom. SHE is judged by husband. SHE works hard to do her best with no fanfare or acknowledgement. All of her family's accomplishments are because SHE made them happen.

She may be so self involved that she's got a touch of Munchhausen's by proxy? She may have been over time making him ill? She might have also decided he needed to be punished for something (maybe he texted dad and "told" on her for doing something? Or maybe Gannon asked about his mother and if they could get back together?). After seeing her take him to the car I almost wonder if this was the beginning to a punishment. "you don't like it here with me? Fine, you can be homeless". I wonder how strict her parents were with her or what their family traditions/values are. Either he was sick and injured getting in to the car, or things got way out of hand in the car after a fight or flight feeling Gannon had.

Ugg. Too many possibilities and unfortunately we've seen them all.

My only sense is of heights, not buried.
Earlier, I had a sense he was underground, in a den he had created for the purpose of running away..
It would have been too easy to push him.

I think I read somewhere they (TS, AS, GS) had only lived in CO for about a year? Does anyone know if that is true? Wondering how much she knew then about mountain areas, etc. I have seen articles and YouTube videos of her/them hiking at GOTG (touristy) and trying to do the Incline (but it was closed, so they went on Barr Trail) (again, very well known). So not like some of the more difficult, lesser known, but gorgeous hikes (and probably because they had littles with them). In the YT video, they are commenting on the air being thin. It doesn't seem like they are taking more difficult hiking trails.

Also, does anyone know for sure there was a shovel? In our terrain, there are 1000000000000+ places to do something like what is being discussed with no shovel needed. At all. Steep cliffs. Again, unless she wasn't really familiar with any of these places.
I agree about the steep cliffs. Much easier option.

Assuming her plan was to dig a grave, I wonder if she realized how difficult it would be? I tend to doubt that she could have done it successfully.

I visited my sister in Co. Springs a year and a half ago. My S.O. and I did a little exploring. Now that I think about it, Old Stage Road would seem like a "good spot". Just find a drop off that was steep enough to not be able to see the bottom from the top (at least not without going way out to the edge of the cliff).

I guess her potential problem would have been not being super-familiar with the area......and presumably not having any gps.

I guess a huge determining factor is whether this was planned out in advance or not. If so, he could be extremely difficult to find. She would have mapped out and picked out the area beforehand.

If not, she was undoubtedly unprepared and panicked and probably did a relatively poor job of hiding him.

My gut tells me that she did a lot of planning.
The large bag she took with them. The suspected "fake google search". The presumed not taking her phone with her. Him still missing. Her not arrested yet.....

Thank you! I was just on the process of googling if that unit was on Carson. Makes sense it would be on Schriever considering where they live, way closer to Schriever than Carson. I wonder if they had taken trips to Canon City/Royal Gorge. Or if she used Carson's PX instead of AF BX. I mean, I preferred the BX than the PX, it was way nicer lol.
I wonder if she googled or was familiar with the 115.

I lived on Carson for 3 years. The amount of places to hide or dump a body in that area, towards the mountains or down 115, are INNUMERABLE. I'm worried he will never be found.

We have the same terrain here in Utah. Gardening involves using a pick ax (sp).

An interesting bit of knowledge I have picked up over the years is, that even the most organized killer never seems to think about what to do with the body. They are so consumed with the killing, they don't think about how hard it is to get rid of a body. Sometimes we see several methods of disposal tried before they give up and leave the body covered in debris. It is almost impossible to cremate a body. It is not easy to dig a grave deep enough. And water reveals all eventually. If a killer is successful in hiding a body, it is usually because the location is so remote people don't come across it. IMO, by far the easiest and most effective method of disposal is a dumpster. I think this is because the killer is looking for a quick disposal method.

All MOO.

This is so true and so human. Getting one's self into a frame of mind to murder must be quite exhausting (and for most people, quite a mental feat). Presumably, it's rage-driven or it's cynically self-serving. At any rate, planning out a murder must seem like a reasonable thing to do be doing, for the perp. They focus so much on not getting caught before and during the murder, and their thinking about body disposal is almost always flawed, although people who use a potential "runaway/abduction" scenario combined with availability of a large amount of wild country nearby...may get away with it.

I think TS will be hoisted on her own petard, via cell records. I'm wondering if the house evidence shows possible abuse/neglect and attempts to cover it up.

I got to get out of here
I got busted
I got caught
I got to come up with something fast
Exactly!! Too many questions she didn't have good answers for which just lead to more questions she couldn't answer because her story is just that, a "story", and not a very well thought out story. Lies have short legs, especially when dealing with others who are so much smarter than you! JMHO

You are absolutely right! I was stationed on Caron for 6 years and lived 10 years in the Springs. So many places over there. Old tank trail that you can access from the 115, random roads that lead to the middle of nowhere. That would be my choice if I was to ever need to hide something.
