It also seems she might take him to a place that has significance with her husband just for spite. Is he a hunter? Turkey Creek is a good thought. Lake George? Lots of steep drop offs on the road up to Pikes Peak.

Motive....

People ALWAYS have a reason.

I think we can safely cross off running away. So GANNON had no motive. (Bless is precious heart. That video of him gaming, what a happy kid!)

That leaves us with somebody else did something. We have a pretty good idea who the somebody is. Let's look at something. I want to know WHY.

Accidental.

Intentional.

Was it personal or was Gannon merely a means toward an ends for her? Healthy, sick, all the social media rumors aside, we are fairly confident he was healthy enough to hike on Sunday, alive and well. Last seen, we believe about 10:15 Monday morning. Alive. Those details seem pretty solid.

Did she disappear him in an attempt to create a drama which would bring, she could've imagined, her husband CLOSER to her? I think it's worth noting that in the short term, it did work. He came right home. (Didn't work out right away after that, but if that was her goal, she reached it for a minute. )

Was it personal? Just didn't want to take care of THREE children anymore? Eliminated ons. As a motive this doesn't resonate.

Was it self-preservation? As many of you have theorized, was it to cover up something else? An accident? A punishment (gone too far)? an assault? The obvious question, was Gannon INJURED as he walked to the truck at 10:15 that morning? Was she afraid he'd TALK? If so, what would she have been afraid he'd say?

What happened that day? At 10:15. And when did it START?

MY question is where did the premeditation begin? Was any of this on her radar prior to Sunday/Monday?

I can't read her in the interview. Overly defensive, underly empathetic. Off. It's just not the interview you'd EXPECT.... so why? Interviews poorly, could be. Innocent and indignant, could be. Just doesn't SEEM to be.

I'm trying to figure out JUST HOW LONG a person had, to put together a disposal plan. Weeks? Days? A day? Hours? Before or after 10:15?

When TS got in the truck at 10:15, did she know exactly where she was going?

Just my opinions and questions.

IMO
Having been within a military family my entire life, including being an Army spouse & working within family readiness groups; I have seen all too often when the service member is deployed or away for training, for whatever the reason may be (overstressed with children, having the role of single parent when service member is gone, missing them etc.) stunts for attention are pulled in an effort to bring the service member home. It has to be a significant event to bring them home. My two cents.

Do we know what time the supposed GS Google search was done ( can they find me if I turn my phone off) ?
I dont' think we know the time - if we did - it would be in the very early reports as it doesn't seem like this is getting attention now IMO.

I do wonder if she searched where to hide a body (or how) in Colorado ?

Hope this doesn't turn into another social media rumor frenzy like the Abby and Libby case. JMO

I found that article a sobering reminder of how important it is for us to keep as much of that crap swirling around in the FB cesspool out of GS's wonderful forum here.

I'm very far behind here, but haven't found anything about what the SM claims she did with Gannon between the time she left the house with him and the time she returned . And what her response is to the camera's not seeing Gannon get out of the car, i.e., where is he ? TIA to anyone who can bring me up to speed. :)

I don't think we've been told yet

This! I could go on for hours the things some of my soldiers wives used to do when we had training, and especially when we were deployed. Now that you brought this up, I wonder if she was doing something along the lines of this, but went too far, and GS ultimately payed the price.

Where is #GannonStauch? The boy has been missing 11 days, as temperatures dip in Colorado, the situation is getting more dangerous every day.

I think just about every high profile case brings out the trolls. Thank goodness for WS.
I would imagine LE have and are continuing to question LS. I hope they were able to find evidence in the several searches so that a focused account of what happened to GS emerges.

I'm thinking your thoughts are in the right place. Since Gannon Stauch is a victim. And this is a victim friendly site. I just can't go there. My heart won't let me.

I'm thinking that in a panic, a person would likely go to a place they know well vs. a strange location.

They'd feel more in control in a familiar environment.

A lot of people enjoy outdoor activities in remote, isolated spots…like hiking, for example.

Let me tell you, though:

If I hear the words, "Landfill search" in connection to this case, I'm going to vent a spleen.

My thought is she is the type who is always a victim. SHE has to do the hard stuff while her husband is away. SHE is judged by bio mom. SHE is judged by husband. SHE works hard to do her best with no fanfare or acknowledgement. All of her family's accomplishments are because SHE made them happen.

She may be so self involved that she's got a touch of Munchhausen's by proxy? She may have been over time making him ill? She might have also decided he needed to be punished for something (maybe he texted dad and "told" on her for doing something? Or maybe Gannon asked about his mother and if they could get back together?). After seeing her take him to the car I almost wonder if this was the beginning to a punishment. "you don't like it here with me? Fine, you can be homeless". I wonder how strict her parents were with her or what their family traditions/values are. Either he was sick and injured getting in to the car, or things got way out of hand in the car after a fight or flight feeling Gannon had.

Ugg. Too many possibilities and unfortunately we've seen them all.
And most importantly of all, SHE had to take care of "that child" for the past two years because his mother didn't want to.

I think she had a great deal of resentment towards Gannon and I hate to think of how she treated him when his father wasn't around.

I don't know about Munchausen, but I think he may have been emotional abused and maybe it led to physical abuse.

She clearly did not come across as a loving parent concerned about her stepson in her interview. She didn't say much about him at all until the reporter asked her about him.

Agreed the spots are endless. I just did a google drive up North Cheyenne Canyon Road (AMAZING and now I feel like we need to go there). But literally anywhere along that stretch...as long as you're sure it isn't a fishing spot or hiking attraction, then any spot along there is a good spot. We once had to make a planned route turned detour  to pass by the collegiate peaks on our way to Four Corners. Except my hubby didn't look at a map until we were already driving and GPS sent us to a VERY wrong place and we ended up on a dirt road scenic by-way (Gold Belt By-way), for 2 hours in the middle of nowhere. There were buzzards out there for crying out loud! Again, gorgeous and would have been a nice trip if planned that way, but a little corner of nowhere that nobody would have found us in. We only saw one or two other cars out there on Saturday afternoon.

I wonder how many searches the EPC jail has gotten for Stauch over the past week...
I was wondering if they noticed a 2800% spike in their website traffic LOL...I know I’ve been looking ;)

She didn't say anything about it at all. She claimed the last time she saw him was between 3:00 and 4:00 when he went to a friends house.
She was seen leaving with him at 10:15 that morning.
She lied about when she last saw him, and likely did not even know LE had the incriminating video until it was leaked by the media.

Long time visitor to the site, but new member. Have read TOS but still learning the posting ropes. Here for Gannon!

I was overjoyed that AS separated himself from TS in this case. So many times, even under the specter of wrongdoing, it seems that parents stick together and the innocent parent will support the parent under suspicion. I think the safety and well-being of children has to come first and can’t imagine standing by someone thought to have injured my child. Isn’t there some charge by which TS could be arrested given the neighbor’s video or false statements to authorities, that wouldn’t hinder a more serious charge and prosecution. Getting someone in jail and in the legal process would seem to me to be a first step in demoralizing TS and perhaps sending her down the path to telling the truth.

According to the Heavy article:
“Gannon’s father, Al, is in the Colorado National Guard and was in Oklahoma for training and returned to Colorado after his son was reported missing. He has been in the Army National Guard since 2005, first in South Carolina. He is currently an operations officer at the 100th Missile Defense Brigade.” (BBM)
Gannon Stauch Missing: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Per Wikipedia:
100th Missile Defense Brigade (Ground-based Midcourse Defense), known as 100th MDB (GMD), is a multi-component (meaning both Title 10 and Title 32) Army National Guard brigade headquartered at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado.”
100th Missile Defense Brigade - Wikipedia

Also from Wikipedia:
Schriever Air Force Base (Schriever AFB) is a base of the United States Air Force located approximately 10 miles (16 km) east of Peterson Air Force Base near Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, United States.”
Schriever Air Force Base - Wikipedia

It appears to be northeast of Lorson Ranch:

Yep, none of these stretches of road between Lorson Ranch & Schriever are intercity roads with camera systems, there are few traffic lights. Satellite imagery on Google earth might help to give a better understanding. Look at the cross section of Fontaine & Marksheffel Blvd. Lorson ranch is on the East side of this intersection then scroll north on Marksheffel past the COS Airport. This is an outlying area, not much of anything. She could easily have headed East also. IMO

LE aint talkin' and that status will remain. It is possible she had an alibi. Dropped him off at a friend's.. the playground. the library.. but it looked more like a field trip.. they were possibly going off doing something outdoorsy together? Sporty or something like that?
Yeah, I've wondered if she "lured" him.

"Hey, come do this thing with me, and I'll buy you a video game."

Or:

"Hey, wanna go shoot the bow and arrow? Don't tell your dad."

It's even more sick and disburbing if something like that happened. Why could she possibly want to kill him?

I realize it could have been an accidental / unintended death. Or, god willing, he is still alive...
