Found Deceased CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, Lorson Ranch, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 *endangered* #6

Big Johnson Reservoir is about 3-4 miles (?) from Lorson Ranch where he lived. That makes me think it's more along the lines of a runaway/unexplained missing child situation rather than someone dumping a body far away. ??? SIGH.

I think with the security footage the "runaway" theory is long put to rest?

The only way I see Gannon being this close, is if he was dumped in an area that provided SM with a bit of privacy.

This location seems too open, and too conspicuous, especially in the daytime.

I agree - the only way it could be true is if there is video of him returning and then her leaving alone and returning at 2 - which I would think would be on the video the neighbor has but he has said she did not return in the 4 hour timeframe IIRC

2-3 miles. On the way to Colorado Springs. And the pet store.

“We’re making great progress,” he said. “We are just finishing up repairs to outlet gate and at the same time we have several contractors removing silt materials within the reservoir. Once the repairs are finished to the gates we will have a partial refill of the reservoir within the next two or three weeks. The silt removal will be an ongoing project for the next two to three years. “

Doing a secondary thorough search in the area, not because the first wasn't a good job but because they now have different equipment to use.

Weather hasn't impacted searches.

Great number of resources for parallel investigation.

Other counties SAR are assisting. Plus community support.

Encourage folks with good, credible information, meaning saw something with their own eyes.

Might see Crime Lab at Stauch home on and off.

Still considered endangered child missing person case.

Give family some space. Don't know where they're staying.

DA is assisting us - doesn't change anything in case so not criminal right now. No "task force" per se.

Evidence taken from home may be part of investigation.

Tips - some are not helpful, for example someone suggested to search all vehicle trunks* in the city.

surely police have looked over the rest of the neighbor's footage to see if she left again. I'm so curious to know when the "can my parents track me" search was done. After they were seen leaving the house?

Interesting Does this mean that you don’t believe that surveillance video from RD is from Monday or so you not believe it was Gannon in the video? I have a feeling that this is a lot more complex than we our brains can even imagine that could have happened.

It does make a lot of sense and the Harley Dilly story had occurred just prior. Everyone thought he was a runaway at first also.

This may have given the perp some inspiration.

Spokesperson said LE used SAR dogs on the first day but today they're using "other" kind of dog. She didn't specifically say but sounds like HRDs (cadaver dogs).

These types of people 'story' themselves in what they say and type. The google search on his phone, which I think we all believe she did, not only helps her runaway story, but it answers the question of what she needed to do with her own phone.

Do we know the exact exact time she said Gannon wanted to go to a friend's? Or do we only have from 3:15 to 4?
