I don’t believe that. If they did have evidence he was murdered, they probably wouldn’t come out and say that until the next phase.

Which would be after SM is charged with a crime.

They initially called this a “runaway child,” but we knew better at the time, and know better now.

There are just way too many signs that this is in fact a criminal investigation. Don’t forget too, the search is being conducted independently from the investigation.
I'm a bit behind but have any of these searches consisted of the volunteers who applied? I'm curious about this. TIA

There’s a lot of pseudo code type of programs for kids to learn how to code that aren’t coding coding in the way I think you are thinking. For instance, coding with Scratch teaches good coding skills but is block based, so it’s sort of like coding in LEGO form. It’s still great fun for kids, but it’s not the type of coding where he would know how to cover his tracks, IMO.

Very true. Scratch is fun by the way. I'm a software developer and yes, so many other kid friendly apps/programs and not all programmers or future programmers would delete their history, we're somewhat lazy when it comes to that. But I do firmly believe that if he were to Google a question, he'd use different words. His video on YouTube he posted, the title is two simple lazy words: "first video" so to search an elaborate sentence on his phone that they assumed he did, negative, not his doing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the step mother is reading this thread. So many other cases had visitors associated with a case visit WS ... JMO
If she is: “We don’t believe you; no one believes you. You aren’t as smart as you think you are, and your days as a free woman are numbered. Enjoy it while you can, because your life as you know it is about to come to a screeching halt. Karma’s a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.”

Why these search two areas?

1) They have been told GS was placed in the area. IMO, unlikely.

2) Truck GPS has stepmom driving these areas, which are off any through route. Most likely?

3) They have stepmom and GS leaving house in the morning, and stepmom only on video at another place farther away- and without GS. LE may believe these in-between search areas are the most likely spots to find GS.
Yes, I suspect you're correct.
Horrifying for Gannon.
I'm just so angry right now, and likely to remain that way for this child's sake.
And for Kyron, DeOrr Jr., Ayla Reynolds, and so many others !

I just had a terrible thought. What if she stashed him somewhere Monday and then went back and harmed him sometime after to make it look like it happened after he ran away? Is that possible? Was she being watched the whole time?

Thank you! I was just on the process of googling if that unit was on Carson. Makes sense it would be on Schriever considering where they live, way closer to Schriever than Carson. I wonder if they had taken trips to Canon City/Royal Gorge. Or if she used Carson's PX instead of AF BX. I mean, I preferred the BX than the PX, it was way nicer lol.
I wonder if she googled or was familiar with the 115.

I am way late in responding - this may not be relevant anymore, by the time I get the end. But just to add to the knowledge base here, based on things that have come out.

Due to his job, he is stationed at Schriever because it is a space based, base. He probably works with the satellite/gps part of launching missile - SBIRS. I know this because my husband worked for Space Command (while active duty-now in contractor role) out of Buckley AFB - yet worked at Schriever a few times a month (the 2 bases work together on same projects). All branches of the military (including foreign) work at those 2 bases.

Why was he in OK? There is some space based stuff there having to do with missiles.

Carson, although Army, does not have those units. They are mostly combat.

I have no sources to link. This all based on my knowledge from being 'married to the military' specifically Air Force Space Command

They can also go through Gannons phone to see "how" he searches particular things. By voice, by keyboard, phrases, etc. I am fairly certain that they know if this search was performed by Gannon or someone else.

Very quiet at the home today. @EPCSheriff says the crime lab may be making periodic stops by here over the next few days. I haven’t seen it yet.

Just joining the case on WS today. I've been watching/reading the coverage online and thought being with WSers would be more informative - as well as comforting as it's so hard to follow a missing child case.

I don't have anything to add at the moment, just want to pop in and say I'm here too.....holding on to hope.

This.
The Google search was like saying, "Alibi can be found here! Also, I needed to know whether I could take my phone if it was turned off, or should I leave it here at home."
Would love to know what other bumbles she made that we can't see, but LE early into this did.

Man, she just left so many trails. I hope they are looking through everything, so many red flags.

Plus, I believe current Colorado law on felony murder rules doesn't include child abuse, neglect or endangerment so there's little point in arresting anyone <cough> for lesser charges.

At best LE may have a case for obstruction but even then I doubt it would do any good - most likely LS would lawyer up immediately. So IMO LE needs either a body or strong evidence of foul play to move the case forward. And since there's no statute of limitations on murder they might as well take the time to be thorough and I believe they are conducting a very thorough investigation.

In the meantime it's frustrating but all we can do is trust LE to do their job. Or hope LS talks. Or hope anyone who has firsthand knowledge of a crime talks. MOO.

Agreed.
It's easy to be impatient, but LE seem to be pouring immense effort to find Gannon.
Sorry for the one(s) who does. This will impact them for a long time.

Do you think it was Tuesday? Because they have a video of him getting in a red truck on Monday.
Nope I believe something occurred over the weekend, we have limited information about the hike. Someone mentioned TS was carrying something on her back during the day video when she 1st walked to the truck parked on the street. Is it possible it was the sibling? There is an unofficial flyer that was circulated Monday night that was posted in one of the earlier threads, younger sibling is on TS’s back & GS standing on the right. I will look for it.

Trying to catch up. I was really hoping to log in and see a big break:( My nerves can't take much more. Most cases don't get to me like this one is. I'm usually excellent at separating emotion from cases. It's not working very well in this case.

Does what? Have the gps tracker? Are you sure?

I don't think the SV trim comes with navigation.

Or is that tracker independent from a navigation system?

Great number of resources for parallel investigation.

Might see Crime Lab at Stauch home on and off

DA is assisting us - doesn't change anything in case so not criminal right now. No "task force" per se.

Evidence taken from home may be part of investigation.

No comment on stepmother and released video

Just to throw a wrench in the mix... there are no date stamps on the videos, how do we know the surveillance video was given in chronological order, is it actually from Monday at all? was DR the same neighbor who said he last saw GS on Sunday morning?? IMO
Why the wrench? In curious.

Will Gannon's coding hobby play a role in finding him? Not likely.

It had to look like an accident that happened after he ran away.
That could be difficult to accomplish, right?

I can see why that would benefit her, but him never being found seems less risky.

I would think "making it look like an accident" would be difficult.
