I wouldn't be surprised if the step mother is reading this thread. So many other cases had visitors associated with a case visit WS ... JMO

Oh I hope so. And I hope she's sweating bullets.

That could be difficult to accomplish, right?

I can see why that would benefit her, but him never being found seems less risky.

I would think "making it look like an accident" would be difficult.
Yeah, that’s advanced thinking, something I don’t think she’s capable of.

It would be a tremendous risk, and it doesn’t jibe with normal behavior in situations like this.

Usually there is a degree of panic, and the priority is hiding the body so it isn’t found.

if they're re-searching it would seem there's a reason for that. Do they usually search the same spaces more than once?

In the Barbara Thomas case, there were places they searched 5-6 times. No luck.

Gets easier with each passing hour, due to decomposition and loss of forensic data. People who try to fake a runaway situation when it’s really a murder do get caught, but often the body no longer reveals exactly how the person died. This would be especially true if someone (for example) fell off a cliff or drowned.

A runaway could also be suicidal (obviously) and go to a body of water and throw themselves in (just as they could be thrown in by someone else). How would the body tell us what happened?

Even in that scenario though, she’s not innocent.

So is there a semi-plausible scenario in which she is less (legally) culpable than what she appears to be? Yes.

But she still took actions that led to his death.

I still think there’s too many issues with that though.
I have to agree as it seems improbable to me that she would publicly assert she hopes she gets apologies from everyone when Gannon returns home and is able to tell them the truth of what "really" happened. It is unlikely ANYONE is going to apologize to her for abandoning a sick child on the side of the road to walk home because she was annoyed with him. JMO

Yep! I have that feeling that she's here for just a little while now. Eventually her disdain will show itself.

"Makes you wonder what her normal routine was on days where husband was out of state and ALL kids were @ school?"

Al’s wife, Gannon’s stepmom, is Letecia “Tecia” Stauch. She has an 18-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. According to her Facebook page, where she uses the name Tee Stauch, Gannon’s stepmother is a curriculum developer at School District 49 in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. She previously worked as an education specialist and teacher and at-risk youth coordinator in South Carolina. She completed her doctorate at Liberty University in 2019 in education. She and Gannon’s father have been married since January 2015.

I don't see her in the employee directory. Central Office Directory / Central Office Directory
That being said, let's say she does actually work. Did she call in sick Sunday night? Did she call in sick Monday morning? No show; no call?

Not sure if mentioned or not ( honestly I haven’t read entire thread) but, anyone else notice in the interview w/SM when she brought her daughter on camera you can hear her say to daughter something to the effect of: “ They need to hear you say you saw Gannon when you got home from work, tell them you saw him”
Almost like she’s giving a (wink wink) remember??!

If she is: “We don’t believe you; no one believes you. You aren’t as smart as you think you are, and your days as a free woman are numbered. Enjoy it while you can, because your life as you know it is about to come to a screeching halt. Karma’s a *****.”
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They might have video of the truck at a gas station or video of TS at a store with/without GS. Something that gives them a route/potential locations to work with.

The locations they’re focusing on might just be between that location and the home... or something along those lines. It sounds to me like they have narrowed search areas down, but still arent exactly sure.

Edited to add: possibly a credit card was used during the time frame they are focused on that leads them in one direction.

What does her saying it’s still a missing/endangered child “at this time” mean? Does that actually mean they do not think it's foul play, or are they just saying that to keep step mom out of the loop?

Oh it is foul play. They don't search where they are searching for a live child.

If they had evidence of murder I do not think they would wait, i.e Kelsey. A body is not required to charge murder as we all know. I am thinking that so far nothing has been found in the house, which would not be surprising depending on what sort of injuries may have been inflicted (if he was indeed killed, and in the house.)

I think it comes down to they can't find his body, and don't want to say anything at all about what they know, so we're left with "missing child/endangered". With the social media nonsense they're dealing with, can you imagine if they said it's now a homicide investigation?
I’m not on Social Media but I’ve been following this case here on WS. I haven’t read all the threads yet regarding this case and my apologies if this has already been asked/discussed, but does anyone think TS possibly could have sold Gannon (Gosh I don’t like typing that, at all!). It sounds far fetched I know and it isn’t usually how these cases of missing kids turn out, but where TS claims he ran away and insisted in her interview that Gannon isn’t dead, maybe because she really does know he isn’t dead if she had pre-arranged something and drove him somewhere in that 4 hour timeframe on Monday to hand him off to someone(s)??? Gosh I don’t know, just trying to think of scenarios of what could’ve happened to poor Gannon. Some people are capable of such evil and nothing would surprise me anymore. I really hope they do find Gannon and bring him home, my heart just breaks for his Mom and Dad.

Totally!

imo

edited to add, I think the SM said to her daughter she needed to "verify" she saw Gannon. Strange word to use, imo. I don't "verify" when I see family members - I simply see them.

Happening Now: Search & Rescue crews near Colorado Springs utilize K9s in ground search for #GannonStauch. @EPCSheriff says volunteers are also searching Big Johnson Reservoir and will use equipment to break up ice. @KDVR

Chilling...no pun intended IMO

Do “visitors” typically lurk and read or actually join in? I don’t recall it happening on cases I’ve been reading since Sept. here.

Watch at the 14:28 mark.
She said they DID pick up his scent!!
I took that as they had his scent around his house (which I would expect given he’s been around his neighborhood) but maybe not?
