From CPW SE's twitter

In response to a mutual aid request from the @EPCSheriff, the@COParksWildlife Marine Evidence Recovery Team deployed to search a small pond near #ColoradoSprings for evidence of a missing boy. CPW's team of experts is specially trained in use of underwater drones. (1 of 2)

The @COParksWildlife Marine Evidence team is using a VideoRay Pro4 ROV remote-operated vehicle w/ sonar & video & manipulator to retrieve underwater evidence. CPW routinely helps agencies statewide search for missing people & evidence. Contact @EPCSheriff for any other info (2/2)

I won't add my speculation on what occurred or how it played out, there are too many variables.

Right now, however, I believe, based on the "can I be tracked" search, that the usual means of following phone pings to narrow down possible locations will not bear fruit. I'm hoping that they have retrieved location data from the vehicle and following up on that data is what is generating leads and causing delay. Also, some finance companies add their own GPS trackers to vehicles. Let's hope that one of these methods is being employed and helps bring resolution.

I think something started on Sunday that rolled over into Monday. And then, not sure exactly. Could go many ways. He was hurt physically, or angry and she reacted, or ????? I still want to know where 17 yr old was all day on Monday.

(Hugs)

I didn't want to drive up randomly offering food and intruding in the middle of the investigation. Lol maybe I can just buy donuts and leave them there somewhere, but then it'd be covered in snow. This is complicated.
When we had the massive searches for Caylee we coordinated through the PIO and when they found her remains I took a cooler of water bottles in - met the detective at the roadblock - they were very grateful. I’m sure you can call or email and say you want to help and if they need it they will tell you how, when and where
That’s been my experience

Geez. Did we ever find out why?
I'm still refreshing my memory. The boy lived with his father and step-mother. Very sad case and I shudder thinking about his demise in the river - not sure how much I want to revisit the case. But driving away from home in the afternoon and putting the boy in the water is what is tugging at me.

This.
Is the face of a boy who most likely was always kind, helpful, and courteous in the face of resentment. View attachment 230387
Well, @soap mama, that pic of that wonderful little boy just did it for me -- I'm gonna catch up on this thread (whew!) and follow this one. That little boy is just one sweet, pretty little human being -- all I wanna do is hug, hug, hug him, and tell him he'll be fine, but with tears in my eyes. SMH.
How can he be okay, after all this time? But still I, like all of us, hope that we'll have a good outcome...

Unless she is hoping a storyline such as he was abducted on his way home from the friend's house, which would explain why he isn't close to home.

I think she's leaving it to the gods. Nothing she's done, that we can see, is any indication that she had her thinking cap on when she did this, and when she stupidly appeared on camera with Gannon.

How can a person be injured so that evidence is left in one place, but then they're able to walk to a vehicle?

Head trauma? And yes, he'd have an upset stomach from that...

Smart thoughts. I hope you’re right! Something has caused them to look where they’re looking.

Yes that’s what I was thinking as to her strategy. That’s why I can’t wait to see her technology footprint - we know they lead to arrests and conviction when they are there and we also know we may not find the missing when they are absent IMO

Head trauma like you said. Internal injuries like if she kicked him in the midsection hard enough. So blood, vomit, maybe?

The current weather there has one positive. Cold weather helps preserve evidence and a body more. I have given up hope he will be found alive, sad but true. JMO

Here’s one of the search and rescue pups helping law enforcement in the search for missing 11-year-old #GannonStauch. He’s been missing for 10 days now. #FindGannon @KKTV11News

I'd like to track all her movements Sunday through until LE showed up at her door Monday night. I want to know ALL OF IT.
I bet LE wants to know (does know?), too.

MOO, should be easy to do if she was carrying a cell phone. Problem is more accessing that info because cell phone companies generally need warrants
