Me too. I talked about it with some folks on here after. I wasn't scared at the moment, felt super focused. But after when I realized nothing had really worked to make it leave (except being able to get into safety with other people in the tennis court), I was pretty shaken up.
On another subject, you know I'm going back to a week ago and some things may be worth a second look to make sure we have facts straight in this case.
In the presser on 1-30-20, the lead detective, who in retrospect seems SUPER sharp and very, easily cautious with his words, said the following:
1. The "reporting person" was interviewed when LE got to the house and the reporting person said Gannon had last been seen between 3-4 p.m. Monday. (Report was made at 6:55 p.m.). The father and bio mom were standing there with him. Does that mean neither of them were the reporting party or does it mean that LE doesn't want the public to know who called?
2. He said on 1-28-20 at 12:29 p.m., the case was turned over to "EPS"? Investigations. They began collecting information and conducting interviews. They collected information including video surveillance and neighborhood canvass info, followed up on leads and exploited various techniques and technology.
3. He said that on 1-29-20 into 1-30-20, based on information "gleaned from the investigation thus far" they changed Gannon's status from runaway to endangered missing. Later, when a reporter asks if that upgrade was because of the length of time that had passed, the investigator equivocates and states the weather, age, length of time, medication, etc., were a part of that. But I think his initial words were more telling.
4. He was asked if the SM was cooperating and said "At this point in time I can tell you that we are conducting numerous interviews and that each lead that we have is exhausted."
5. He was asked point blank if Gannon had been seen on any surveillance video. He replied, "At this point in time I can't clarify, uh, I can't confirm that any video surveillance we have been looking at has Gannon on it." (He did not say no).
6. They are looking at persons of interest.
