There is always hope unless and until we are told otherwise by the authorities.

This is such a heart-wrenching case.

It is deeply touching how everyone feels, especially those who attended the vigil, holding out hope within their broken hearts, surrounded by blue ribbons, blue balloons and deep compassion.

By being part of the conversations on Gannon's threads, we hold our own vigil for this dear, wonderful, young boy, only 11 years old.

In a sense, we hold our own vigil for Gannon through our posts, filled with genuine compassion, caring and feeling the deep loss of someone so young who needs to be found.

I often underestimate the power of special members with hearts full of love and compassion. Courageous kind friends reaching out and lifting us up. Their character shines and fuels our survival of hope. Thank you WS. Through you, a respectful community has evolved into a connection of leadership, friendship and loyalty.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has not revealed every location they have searched but has provided media with some information.

Despite the snow, the search remained active through the weekend of the 8th-9th. The sheriff's office confirmed its search centered around Lorson Ranch.

The timeline from the moment Gannon was reported missing to the decision to upgrade the preteen to an endangered missing child was outlined by the sheriff's office as followed:

Monday, Jan. 27
- 6:55 p.m., El Paso County Sheriff's Office dispatch receives call of runaway child, 6600 Block Mandan Drive.
- 7:32 p.m., Gannon Stauch entered into state and national databases as active runaway
- Last seen between 3 and 4 p.m. on the 27th
- Nothing found on initial search

Tuesday, Jan. 28
- 12:29 p.m., case turned over to EPSO investigators
- Detectives conduct interviews, collect surveillance, follow up on additional leads

Wednesday, Jan. 29
- Investigation continues

Thursday, Jan. 30
- Upgrade case from runaway to endangered missing child
- EPSO requests resources from NCMEC and FBI Crimes Abduction Rapid Deployment Team

Mynatt said that investigators were looking at every part of the timeline step by step.

blue jeans and sneakers would be difficult to isolate. if he went missing in clothes worn that morning, tracksuit legs and top, it's different... we do not know, just that there is no evidence he came home to change or go play with his friends..

The overwhelming odds here are that she took him somewhere familiar to her.

There's no way a person in that situation would just blindly drive around hoping to come across a remote location.

Familiarity with the environment increases one's sense of control.

She will have chosen a locale which she knew from past experience would be largely isolated.

When she pulled out of that driveway, she had a destination in mind.

She wasn't taking him out for a joyride.

I would love to be wrong, but I don't think Gannon is okay somewhere. Additionally, it doesn't seem very possible to me that he was abducted [at least not by a stranger] or ran away.

JMO I have a theory about the leaked video. I am convinced that the neighbor is 100% decent and wants only to help, the same 100%. We know he showed the video (a crystal clear video, to be sure) to AS and they called LE. Depending on how and when LE did or did not ask for it to remain unbroadcasted, the neighbor could have sincerely and in good faith SHOWED it to the reporters TO HELP IN THE SEARCH. (Remember, LE is bent on finding Gannon AND gathering evidence for conviction. At that juncture, people who AREN'T LE are more naturally focused on the "find Gannon" part.)

In the old days, if you had video to turn over to LE, you turned over THE copy. One. In any event, after alerting LE, I can see the neighbor showing it to reporters with full confidence they wouldn't report on it BECAUSE LE said no.

To me, the video WE see looks bootlegged.

I wonder if a reporter, bent on the scoop, recorded the video on his or her phone and very possibly on the sly.

So, what I'm saying is, I personally don't think the neighbor is responsible for the leak. The reporter with a phone is.

The Denver news reporter I think specifically said so, when his news station broke the police caution to air it.

And also, the selfsame media outfit said they had to go to his house in person to track him down, and then video chat him up at his job. They had to work it. He's no tattletale.

Just an observation.

I have watched the video of Gannon getting into the truck a million times now and something about it bothered me and it finally hit me. I wasn't sure if Gannon was ill or hurt and then it hit me.

He seems hesitant. He's off balance (not physically). Almost wary, worried.

I know this is a stretch but that was the first thing that came to mind. I get that you can't see much but my sense was that he was hesitant to get in the truck.

Here we have a skip in time (text bridge/temporal lacunai) indicating possible witheld missing information.

She then says "we ate burger king". She doesn't say "we went to Burger King. This is how people deceive. They want you to fill in the gaps assuming you went when that's not what they said.

Example.
What did you do last night?
A- went to piza hut and watched a movie.

Most would interpret this as they went to piza hut (sat down and went to the movies. Again, this is not what they said. What they left out (for what ever reason) was they got a take out and watched a movie at home.

So what happened between leaving Garden of the gods and AND THEN ate Burger King.?

"Afterwards". After what? How long "afterwards" did they eat BG, if indeed they did. Again, what happened in between these times.

Excellent post. It's been quite a while since I have studied and researched "jump in time" temporal lacunai. I find it fascinating.

People sometimes allude to actions without saying they actually performed them. So, yes, it important what happened between trip and meal.

If the meal was take out and brought home, that becomes very significant what happened between the trip and the meal.
