I think this is a real possibility. The way she now alludes to some mystery person being involved in her newest statement makes me think it's more likely that she did have help of some kind. Perhaps she's hedging her bets and preparing to put the blame on an accomplice.

Sure some people are careless with their tools and leave them laying around. Kids are sometimes curious and touch things they should not. However, folks I know with woodcutting tools keep them stored properly. One, they are sharp but they are also expensive. Doing craft work like that, in most cases, means you care about those tools.

I don’t know about an accomplice. To me it sounds like she is pointing to a culprit.
