This statement by 'Stepmother' is so strange. She swings from small details to large vague descriptions, i.e.

• 'the cool shirt I got you to wear to the theatre is in your closet' detailed
• 'cut his foot in garage unloading...' vague (cut on what? unloading what?)
• 'loves helping his dad in the garage build things like his LEGO tables and the flower pot they built for me as a gift' detailed
• He sat on the edge of the car and we bandaged it up. He was good to go. vague (edge? When?)
  
• After this, I noticed G kept going to the side of the house. vague (suddenly? after injury?)
• He told me he was checking to see if the gate was locked because he was the only one with a gate key. It made him proud to be the man of the house while Albert was away. detailed
  
• Last, from day one the Sheriff's office has known a description of the person/friend whom Gannon left with. vague (Why hasn't there been a description released of this person?)

Classic Casey Anthony IMO - speech peppered with all kinds of detail in order to make her lies more believable. Most of her detailed statements are meant to show herself in a good light and the vague statements are flimsy lies. She is a pretty frightening liar and I can't imagine what she may have done with Gannon. I am confident that LE has her figured out and she isn't pulling anything over on anyone. Whether she did anything or not, I have a low tolerance for this kind of person. JMO

She certainly makes it sound like cutting his foot lead to his checking the gate. Not that he checked the gate before. Bizarre, that she thinks that ppl would absorb that as though it made sense.

Does the basement have a door to the garage, then another side door from garage to where the gate would be?

Or would one have to leave the basement via the first floor then exit?

Do we know "officially" if Gannon's bedroom was downstairs?

If so, why would he and SM not have seen each other prior to his leaving between 3:15 and 4? That is if she was working out in the basement.

Most homes here have similar layouts. Main level has the 2 bedrooms, based off of the video of her talking to Landon about the carpet incident, she walked from her bedroom, walked passed the living room and kitchen area (open floor concept) to his room. Near Gannon's room is most likely the laundry room/mud room which leads out to the garage. The basement didn't look like it has a walkout patio, I'm certain the listing description would have mentioned it since those are the favorite kinds of homes here so one would have to go up the stairs to the main living area to exit the house.

Or it could be a photo she took herself of another selfie she already had ready. So that she could get the date/time of the new picture to claim he took a selfie after they had gotten back in the truck.

Monument, Palmer Lake? Black Forest? Lots and lots of quiet areas out in those. Larkspur perhaps? If she went north, I can't imagine she would try to go far north due to traffic. But going to southern Douglas County, Larkspur and around there, SO MUCH SPACE to try and go through. I mean, seriously. If people aren't from around here, they would be shocked. Depending on where you go, nothing but trees or mountains or space. Not many houses or people. If they can place her at a store north Springs, they have *something* or some reason to place her going possibly even more north which is interesting.

I wonder if she ever went to the huge Ren Festival we have in the summers in Larkspur. It's a big deal here. She would have seen the great expansive area.
Also, when you go to Denver, which everyone does for one reason or another, you drive past this area of southern Douglas County. Castle Rock is busy, but south of that, Larkspur, etc, very quiet areas. You see the miles of nothing.

Also 83 is a quieter road than 25. Not entirely quiet, but much much quieter than 25. And goes more into the 'off' areas.
But again, northern El Paso opens up the whole area of palmer lake towards the west of 25 and black forest going east. I have lived in both of those areas through the years.

They have SOMETHING.

Why so far north now?

With all due respect, Douglas County is huge and some of it isn't "so far North" from Colorado Springs. There are areas that would only be 30 minutes to an hour from their house and given the time frame, it's a possible location.

if i was to take a photo at 1pm on monday, but on thursday at 4pm i took a screenshot of this photo and cropped out the edges to make it appear identical to the first photo, then delete the monday photo, would the date/time info on this new cropped photo be the monday time or the thursday time ?

Near her house is Marksheffel which can take her north towards my area where she works (D49), the roads aren't too bad in the morning especially the time she left so it would have been a quiet drive.

Did she leave home with him on Monday with that intention? Or did the idea come to her while out and about that day?

I don’t think that works. I’m definitely not an expert in this sort of thing, but it’s my understanding that most phones store very detailed data about photos.

This includes the date, time, and even location in many circumstances.

Taking a screenshot wouldn’t capture that information. It would change the time stamp, but wouldn’t capture what I guess is called “EXIF data.”

I imagine her phone was downloaded early on, so law enforcement knows a lot more than we think they do.

SIGH. That Ren Festival. We were on the last leg of a long trip in the car from New Mexico with a little boy who REFUSED to take dramamine and then boom, we get stuck in Ren Fest traffic! I wanted to cry. I probably did.

83 if she was going north. 105 going into Palmer Lake, etc. Spruce Mountain area. I can't imagine she would go near Mt Herman since all the publicity with hatchet man a few years ago. But WP is Teller County, and they didn't mention that. But there are countless areas in northn EPC and southern DC. Wow.

Yes I just screenshotted a photo from a week ago and in my album it has the time stamp as today, right now. The only way to truly tell if the photo was taken on the day it was taken would be for LE to check the phone with whatever technology they use, this would then show the exact time/date regardless if the photo was deleted on the true date (hope this makes sense). And as far as we are aware LE doesn’t have her phone so she could have quite easily screenshotted an old photo and showed them visually. It is very suspicious how she uses ‘time stamp’ as a way to verify her ‘selfies’. She likes herself, IMO
