Thanks so much. Do you know what/where that is?
It is a beautiful jagged rock land scape--driving, some hiking, its a park in Colorado Springs. Normally this would be a terrible place to try to do someone in. Right now there's hardly anyone there. My guts tell me something started there and ended at home.
MOO
I couldn’t tell if she said for or from and I listened a couple times. So I was just speculating on why I thought she may have said “for.”
I turned on my auto typing on my cell. It recorded it as " from."

"His favorite color is blue," said Sara Robertson, who helped organize the effort. "It's just kind of a guiding light to (tell) Gannon (to) come home. We're all here for (him)."

The "blue wave" began Wednesday night when the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Fountain turned its exterior trim lights
...
Mark Ewell, Director of Sales and Marketing for St. Aubyn Homes, summed up the situation for many when he said: "Everyone in Lorson Ranch is close. We're all like a family. We care about each other. This is the time to show it."

I cant get it to play guys, please can someone summarise points of interest?

She uses past tense for the boy a couple of times ...' He was so sweet'

And she is so self absorbed and histrionic...and making it all about her...'2o death threats' ...She makes her self and her daughter out to be the victims.

'Victimized' by the mean police, who wouldn't let her get a lawyer...[ which I doubt, that is illegal]
And they cuffed and detained her and her daughter, apparently. And told her she wasn't cooperating, which she passionately denies....

'Victimized' by the towns people and social media for their accusations. And she wanted to make this video to explain things to make that stop. I doubt it worked.

IMO, very revealing about the way the cops are 'mistreating her'....they seem pretty focused on her ...

And she is being 'victimised' by Gannon's mom because SM is not welcome in her home now because the ex wife is there----which shows the friction---wouldn't normal parents and step parents let go of all that if a child is missing?---And seeing that they are not doing so speaks volumes...

She also tries to minimise that court hearing about her teaching license---says it was because she was being harassed, she did nothing wrong, etc..shrugs it off

There is too much to remember so I just typed out what comes to mind now...but my jaw was on the floor through most of it...starting with her not looking at the video---she stood w/back to the camera.

She talked all about herself, but when the reporter 'reminded' her to speak about her missing stepson, she switched tone to a sugary sweet word salad of how sweet and kind 'he WAS'...

I was coming off her as my prime suspect---until I saw this video...:(

Katy, very well written I couldn't have said it any better!

Parents won't be reuniting, as both are remarried with children (bio mom has two girls.) Show of solidarity in love for their child, and I think GS knows they love him dearly.

I didn't suggest they are or should or anything of the sort. Rather that it seemed Gannon was hopeful of that. Which can cause a lot of feelings for a step mother. Especially a step mother that has now been removed from the home for the bio mother to be there. I was speculating why she seemed bitter / confrontational in the interview and nothing more.

An 11 yr old runs away from his stepmom. That is actually very believable. Straight out of a Disney movie, right?? I don’t blame the poor kid, if that’s what really happened, but let’s be honest: Stepmom’s first concern & very first mention should have been about Gannon! She made it about herself, again, not surprising! This woman threw Gannon’s MOM under the bus. Only someone detached from a child would do such a thing! I bet she introduces Gannon as her stepson, right??? Oh she loves her stepson like he is her own, right??? That is NOT how it works. You don’t SAY STEPson...you say SON
IF Gannon ran away, it was because something happened...an argument, mistreatment from her, SOMETHING. Do I believe he ran away??? Does anyone HERE actually believe that?? Unlikely. Those are my thoughts

OT but if step-mom is not guilty of anything...wonder if the marriage will survive...

Sounds like a motive...

At the very least, it sounds like something she was bitter over.

Basically, “I don’t have to be a good mother to him, but I am.”

Oh I thought she said at the end of this she wants an apology from her husband to her. She implied earlier in the interview that she was kicked out of the house so I thought her own husband wasn't believing her...

MOO
I'm thinking maybe he doesn't believe her

I'm afraid for this boy. He's been gone so long that a happy ending is not probable. :(

Agreed!!! And LE thinks like you. They changed it from a runaway to endangered child.

I am going to play my "devil's advocate" in this case. Please feel free to ignore me, but I do this to hear other opinions and to check off/discuss what I'm saying. This is ALL what-if's, none of this is factual
Step mom's side:
RE: The interview: We don't know what that reporter said to her to get her to talk. He could have said something like "you're being portrayed as guilty, you can clear YOUR name. That is why the interview was mainly about her. Not a good outcome by far but what if she thought this was supposed to be about clearing her name and what she has been going through? Maybe she thought this was an opportunity to talk about what SHE is going through. Again, it wasn't good but still.

As for mom and step-mom, We don't know the history between those 2. They could have had many issues and things were said to her "off camera" that made her fight back and make the statements she made. AGAIN, not good timing nor the place.

RE: being sick, we don't know if he had a Dr apt or not. He did have fast food the day before, maybe he had bathroom issues and stayed home from that ( not that this has EVER happened to me) Gannon was a 1 lb. 6 oz baby, he could have health issues we're unaware of or just had a bad stomach and it got better later in the day and that's why he was able to go to a friends house.

RE: The search. I feel better that they are asking for volunteers to search the neighborhood VS, the hiking area.

She did explain why she lost her teachers license/ military, moving etc. That made sense to me ( I think)

what if the last part of her interview where she was crying asking for Gannon to come home safe etc was the same reporter asked her to make a plea for his safe return etc.

This is all IMO
That all makes sense but this woman is an educator. A child that was in her care disappeared. She's upset because of the heat that is on her right now.
He gave her opportunities to talk about her missing step-son. She didn't take them. 'he loves games'. That's no help in finding him. Did he ever go outside, join scouts, go camping, show skills in survival courses, things like that, hints the searchers might find useful. Zero. Was not her priority.
I'm curious about her relationship with her husband prior to Gannon's departure.
I'm searching for a motive. From anyone.
I think her interview did give me hope he planned and executed an effective and safe escape. But just for a while. I like to think that because maybe anonymous people speaking on the internet will create positive energy he can draw upon and use to strengthen himself, no matter what realm he is on.
I have not an atom of evidence for my hope though.

There's an endangered child missing. That's all I'm going to say.

Its very improbable at this point.

If he ran away, then there’s a very slim chance he’s alive.

If he didn’t run away, there’s no chance.

I agree, the reporter did say "tell me about Gannon, because I don't know him" hence the "he likes to play video games" maybe he doesn't do much else, who knows, she did say she wouldn't talk about the "going to a friends house, which I found odd. Thank you for replying to my post though. I am not saying that she is not or is guilty, just trying to see all points.

she's a tad noisy for the fellow occupants, hardcore, exhausting
Exhausting. That's exactly how I felt after watching her diatribe.

I thought I was going to hear a rational explanation, and I was going to feel bad about my suspicious nature. And I sat with my jaw wide open, and shaking my head.

I want to listen again but I am exhausted...
