It's a waste of time, I know, trying to second-guess a jury, but why that video? To remind a juror of how awful it all was so as to show a good reason for the DP? Is there one hold-out? Two?

This video is particularly graphic. It shows the theatre right after the shooting while the dead victims are still in there.

I just had an email alert from Denver 7 news saying the jury want to watch that video. At least the alerts work! I shouldn't miss the verdict!

I really just think they need confirmation before they fill out the verdict forms. This is a decision that they will have to live with forever.

based on this jury's pasts behavior and the exact video they asked for I think they are merely validating their decision for dp and we will have a verdict announcement within 2 hours. Had it been something else they wanted to see I was worried but this video can serve to confirm the horror and make sure all are comfortable. I suppose it could also be to convince 1 or 2 but I just feel it is not that.

That makes lots of sense -- hmmmmm -- yes, indeed. They are making a huge decision, and it will be a part of each one of them forever. Most of us have never been in their shoes, and most of us are glad not to have been there and done that. Tuff stuff for 12 very human beings.

Weird that at first the defense said they had no problem with the jury looking at the crime scene video, but then later they changed and objected. Judge did not understand why defense changed mind but will let jurors see it for 50 min.

I agree as well. For all this jury has with each other for a long time. It seems they are thoughtful, careful in following the laws. This shows that they are doing their jobs & deliberating! If there are some not sure yet, they are willing to listen to each other by jurors asking the others, to watch it, then go over their thoughts again. MOO

I think you're right, and altough it's possible that a juror is on the fence, and they want to drive home how horrible what JH did was. In any event, they seem close to a decision.
I missed watching the jury question live, but from what was said here, I'm with the Judge on his confusion about allowing the jury to view evidence. All the evidence was submitted to them, why shouldn't they review it?

If I recall correctly, I believe the defense objected vehemently and argued about this video being shown at all, and the judge said it was the most accurate evidence of the scene as it was at the time, and ruled it could be shown (but maybe limited it to once). There's no reason the jury shouldn't see it, and the defense knows that, IMO.
I think this jury is smart, and I have a lot of confidence in whatever decision they come to. I think you are right that they are close, and hope it won't be too long now.

I think the DT cares more about this verdict then JH does. He's too empty of a shell to care about anyone or anything. This is a verdict for his family and friends. I read snippets from Arlene Holmes book. Many of the poems she wrote are about being against the DP and saving JH life. It makes me mad that he couldn't write an apology note and ask forgiveness from the victims and families. This tells me he doesn't give a darn.
