I think it is very possible Mr. Sullivan is right that there was a stealth juror that infiltrated the trial. Either that or Brady's closing swayed someone's decision.

You can't possibly know that for certain.....but, it makes people feel better to hear it. Silly? What a strange word considering the topic.

Yes. I can know for absolutely certain that that would never happen in this case. It is totally nonsensical to believe that a defendant in a case of such incredible, horrific, national magnitude, with multiple, multiple victims, would ever be be allowed out on bond. Silly. Ludicrous. It has never happened and never would.

Oh and ETA: Nothing will make me feel "better" about this verdict. I feel he got away with mass murder. He is satisfied. he got what he wanted.

So, why would you ever be on a death penalty qualified jury? If truthful, you would never be.

You may 'THINK' you can vote dp but when the time comes just can't do it. i think the odds of there being at least one stealth juror or one that just can't do it are so great that dp should just not be an option anymore. It is clearly not a deterent to crime.

I agree with Sullys dad....stealth juror....just like Arias. I wonder how much they are compensated? Or, does the anti DP mob have stealths at the ready for high profile DP trials?

ooops....not Sulls dad....Veronicas gp

Probably the same. There are a lot of similarities between the two of them.

I don't think so. JH paid his rent, bills, hygiene was good, dressed nice and was able to function in that regard. This is where I'm baffled my 32yr old son has schizoaffective disorder, I've been dealing with this 12 years. My son is seriously mentally ill. He cannot function. He hears voices daily, delusions.

I don't see any similarities in my son and JH.

Jury could not unanimity agree. There were holdouts, some for some against. If they weren't holdouts, their decision, as a group would have been life. It was not! The jury did not decide life! they could not agree.

Maybe they were unanimously for the life without parole.

These anti DP stealth jurors will do everything they can to get on the jury's of these high profile cases.

I don;t think there's a death penalty in Connecticut, is there?

I have a genuine question for you- if eleven people on this jury decided on LWOP and one juror could not be swayed from DP, would that lone juror also be a stealth juror?

Nope. That's why on the forms judge needed to sentence to life.

But during the shootings, he allegedly barked out orders and appeared to single individuals out, recalled Stephanie Davies, a witness. "He would shout, 'What are you doing? I said stand up!'" Davies said.http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/year-dark-knight-killer-remains-mystery-article-1.1402893

I don't remember anyone testifying to that. Also, he was wearing a gas mask which would have muffled any speech. And remember that the movie was still playing while this was happening. I can't see how anyone could have heard him say anything.

How so? Does life without the possibility of parole mean he can get out?

I believe he can't get out. He absolutely will die in prison.

Maybe they were unanimously for the life without parole.

I think if that were the case they would'nt have gotten past phase two and found he was eligible. I am certain there were several jurors in favor of death.

#theatershooting- Robert Sullivan, Veronica's G-pa thinks the jury could have been"infiltrated" w/a juror that never planned on DP.

We manage to hand down the DP and carry it out here in Texas just fine.....lol....not a deterrent? Is LWOP a deterrent?? LWP?

One would think that if he had any sympathy for the victims, he would not have done what he did to begin with.

One would think if he did this in the throes of a mental break upon stabilization he would feel awful for what he had done and would want to apologize.

Or a successful appeal. It happens all the time. New trial ordered....out on bond....
Or, lib gov of Colorado decides to pardon....Jimmy has a lot of tricks up his sleeves. No doubt about it

:facepalm:No liberals would pardon him. Give me one example of a liberal who has ever pardoned a mass-murder.
