Who released the Jury Foreman's name....someone leaked it. So far all I hear are numbers assigned to the Jurors. The names were only known to the defense, state and the Judge, that I know of.

It could have been someone in the gallery. It might have been said when the jury came back with the verdict or on some other matter that we did not see. The judge might have said, "Mr. WhateverHisName, have you reached a verdict?" or something not as official about another matter -- before the cameras were rolling, and the person in the gallery (or whoever) could have written it down or just memorized it. Maybe he/she went online and saw it on LinkedIn or facebook (that's why I don't use either one of those things -- it scares me a bit since you never know who's reading it...) and figured it out. Maybe whoever did it was just bored, or it could have been something more sinister. Who knoze? It needs to be investigated IMO. That is certainly contempt for all the principals and The Court.

As former member of print media, I hate to see this kind of thing happen.

Newsweek issue was found out about Friday by the judge and they were banned from the trial according to reports.

IF this is true all parties have been aware of this since last Friday...Yikes..Good think juror came forward..which no one then can say he was hiding such a thing...Good on you Juror#747..

This is confusing? The foreman said he got the tweet over the weekend, and the judge just now, within the last 10 minutes, banned newsweek.

Judge calls 15 minute break. Attorneys will consider jury's request for a TV and video player. #theatershooting

Ohhh..I did not realize that Daily Beast was merged with Newsweek..Huge problem....Lets assume that any tweeting, blogs or alternate news source that disseminate any informations against Judge's orders SHOULD BE HELD in contempt..pure and simple...!!!

Yikes..It's become a sensational news proliferation by far too many MSM outlets...LOL Trumpeter comes to mind!! Dis-regard facts..promote rhetorics to seek traffic to sites!! I guess I'm getting too old..but the fact remains..most younger folks read this stuff!!

Watching Mr Ormon talking to the jury. He doesn't flow quite as easily as GB does. Not a bad job though.

I got the impression the Judge and another court specialist were working on the incident. I am so glad the Juror Foreman sent a note and spoke up...the Judge would be waiting for the Juror to say something....or the Judge would have been more then disappointed. This seems to be a very honest, well informed, and trustworthy jury.

I am sure the name of the Newsweek reporter will be published somewhere. "Her'' and any supervisors, should be reprimanded. Will they lose their jobs? Depends on how Newsweek really feels...and that goes all the way up to the CEO

I saw one retweet from a non news source that had the Newsweek tweet with the name blacked out. Terrible this happened!

It's not posted yet, but should be on Court Chatter -- probably by tomorrow. Below is a link to Court Chatter archives of the trial so far:

USA Today, has an article written on July 22, 2015 at 4:54pm, stating Newsweek editor Grant Burningham was notified on Friday and "removed it early Friday morning''. That was part of a quote, but I do not know if it was the article or the name of the juror he was referring too.

Also in the article it stated that Newsweek 'forgot' to remove the tweets until Wednesday. That would be this Wednesday.

It appears Judge Samour was on top of the situation over the week end.

Still so glad the Foreman Juror was upfront and reported it.

sorry, do not know how to link it over....so I hope giving the info I did is okay with the Mods.

Judge and attorneys are back in the #theatershooting courtroom. @Newsweek apparently is not.

Judge and attorneys are in the court room. No word on verdict yet #theatershooting

So I don't understand what the jury is even discussing in this 1st phase. All 5 factors are self-explanatory and qualify. #theatershooting
