Found Deceased CO - Jennifer Cleland, 47, Colorado Springs, 17 August 2019

Colorado Springs police are looking into a missing person's case involving 47-year-old Jennifer Cleland.

According to family members, Cleland was last seen Saturday around 7:30 p.m. at the Walmart on N. Union and Lelaray St.

Cleland's brother reports, employees at the Walmart say they saw a lady with coffee buy groceries and then leave the store. A short time later a man was seen pushing her cart into the store with the coffee and all the groceries inside. Walmart is following protocol and is working to report what they saw to the police.

Family members say Cleland lives less than a mile away from the grocery store with her mom and nephew.

She is described as 5'2", 230 lbs, dark brown hair with red highlights and brown eyes.

She drives a navy blue 2006 Dodge Stratus four-door with tinted windows.

Cleland's family is desperate for help and answers - if you have any information contact police.

I would presume that the 7:30 time is when she walked out of Walmart. I'm guessing her car is missing. Sounds like an abduction into her own vehicle to me since her shopping cart was left behind with stuff in it. MOO. I know our walmarts have cameras outside, but if a large vehicle was parked between the camera and her car it may not have caught anything. My sister's car was hit while she was in our walmart recently and they couldn't see it happen because there was a larger truck between the camera's view & her vehicle.

I was thinking the same thing. And I could only find one news article about it.

Maybe it had obvious perishables, and the man thought "well, at least this way it will be intact/unspoiled if the person comes back for it"? Maybe the man is an unrelated Good Samaritan. It's hard to fathom a scenario where any vaguely intelligent kidnapper takes time to return their groceries; and to what end would you do such a thing, really? More time spent lingering at a crime scene = more chances to get caught...
