Two obvious thoughts:

- I really hate to say it, but they need to keep an eye on the landfills, not just for garbage from residential areas, but from area business dumpsters as well.

- It's also crucial to determine whether there are any people visiting residences close to Jessica's house and the park - anyone who could be a RSO registered somewhere else.

I have not heard anything about the outfit that she was wearing. Just the coat and boats and back pack. Has anyone seen a mention of her clothing?

Poster linked above mentions jeans, but no shirt colour.

Yes they do. The sooner the better. I wonder what time garbage pickup was yesterday, if there was any.

I'm just thinking that my kids leave for school usually in a "range" of 10 minutes or so....

What I mean is, they SHOULD leave at 8:00 am....but some days it's 7:55, some days it's 8:10....

If Jessica left 5-10 minutes on the later side (but still within a "normal" range)....it might not be something too worrisome - IF her friends were still waiting. I'm just wondering if they thought she wasn't coming and went on without her.

BBM. We have a range we leave within too. It's about a 15 minute variation like you posted, kmartin.

I'm wondering what the routine was here for these kids. From the maps it appears Jessica's walk to meet her friends was in the opposite direction of school. If Jessica did not show up at the park, what did the friends usually do? Did they have to walk past her home enroute to school? Or did they take a different route?

I'm wondering what they might have seen if they left about the same time Jessica did. Are their homes within view of each other?

How much time is there for someone to grab Jessica, if these kids are all leaving home about the same time in the am? It really doesn't seem like much, so I hope residents are giving LE everything they may have seen or heard that morning. Let LE decide if it is relative to the investigation and disappearance or not. Someone may have seen something and not realize it has to do with the case.

Too close for comfort for me. My grandbabies live right there. :o( My daughter said they were helping to look this morning. She said there were 2 attempts by a man trying to get kids in his car in that area last week. I am hoping the dad has Jessica safe and sound somewhere, because I sure don't like the sound of an abduction.

Pedophiles absolutely love to be out and about during times when kids are coming to and from school. I have seen a few real creeps, and they have routines that they follow. They take exercise walks almost every morning or walk dogs almost every morning or go outside and work in the yard at 7 a.m. Those are the people who should be at the top of the suspect list. Those are the people who probably knew her pattern.

The NCMEC flyer is stating she left at 8:15 am. MSM is saying 8:30 am. It would be nice if they could narrow down a more exact time. I know on school mornings I'm usually keeping an eye on the clock every few minutes to get my kiddo moving and out the door. I imagine that is the same for other parents, so a 15 minute gap should be narrowed down imo.

Spottke said police and firefighters went door-to-door Friday along the route from Jessica's house to the school, asking residents for permission to search inside their homes and in their yards.

All but a few people complied, she said. Some people said they have small children and asked authorities to return the next morning when the kids were awake to search, she said. In other cases, no one was home.

Really? Come back in the morning? Also, hope they are looking at those folks who weren't home last night.

From link above .... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?st...43636076&refid=17&_ft_=fbid.10151195072786077

-Jessica walks three blocks between Morris Street to Chelsea Park where she usually meets up with a large group of friends - before walking 1.3 miles to school. In that three block period, she disappeared. -Three weeks ago students at an Arvada school saw a man in a dark sedan trying to lure students closer to his vehicle. JeffCo schools sends letters out to all of its schools - including <> Elementary -where Jessica goes to school. Police are looking in to whether there's a connection. -50 investigators including Police, FBI, Missing and Exploited Children - searched the area near Morris Street and Chelsea Park

:what: and parents were still letting their children walk to school!
:please: Lord Jesus, if Jessica is with you please lead the searchers to her body, if she's still on this earth please protect her and guide the searchers to her. In Jesus name, Amen

Bloodhounds were used through most of the night. Although the dogs picked up a scent, it could have been older than Friday morning, Spottke said.
"There were no strong hits," she said.
Authorities have greatly expanded the search area after many more volunteers arrived than were expected. The second shift of searchers will return to the homes where no one answered previously.
Police are reviewing past incidents for a possible connection including the attempted abduction on Labor Day of a 22-year-old female jogger at Ketner Lake in Westminster. A man tried to put a chemical-soaked rag over her mouth. The woman was able to fight her way free and called 911.
"It's definitely something that we're looking at," Spottke said.
The woman's assailant was described as white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with brown hair and an average build. He was wearing a blue cap, a black T-shirt, jeans and small rimmed sunglasses.

This is exactly why I am such a protective parent. Someone can snatch your child in an instant. This could have been someone who had been watching the two girls walk to school every day. OMG I pray she is ok. I feel so sorry for the mother.

No way I would allow my child to walk to school alone. I don't care if they were meeting another child along the way or not, we see how quickly something can go wrong.

Yeah, I saw this last night and my first thought, also. Besides the fact parents shouldn't let their kids out of an adult's sight, I'm wondering why they don't have adult volunteers or workers at the sidewalk corners. So many places have this now and I don't understand why all schools don't for kids that walk to school. They have vision of the kids to each corner, schools here pay people to do this and no child is ever out of sight of an adult. My DIL's Mom does this and she says there's even K5 kids who walk alone. I don't understand.

I was going to post something similar.
Pedophiles love school starting....a time when kids are out and about on regular scheduled times.
Has anyone heard if she had a regular walk to school friend?
