True, but most people don't drive around with what he had in his back seat.

I'm sorry, I missed something here. I was pointing out that the Arvada lurer isn't very remarkable, so lots of people resemble him. I know this crazy kid was carrying a body around in the back seat, but there's no report the Arvada lurer was. It doesn't increase the resemblance any.

His complexion is probably due to meth.

I was thinking the same thing. Something about his eyes, mental health aside...I've seen that look before.

  • #683
I don't think you are being shallow and I hope no one thinks I am! I would never make fun of someone's looks.

Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to suggest you were, by implication. (I've just spent a lot of time on forums where people discuss celebrities, how they look, and tiny details/imperfections--in short: snarky, shallow conversations--so I wasn't sure if that made me more prone to noticing that someone had bad skin.)

Don't think he looks like a regular meth user, though, although we'd need to see his teeth.

That is a possibility. Not that anyone would tell us yet, but that is an excellent example of "not intact".

I think because they had to use DNA to identify her, that her identifying body parts were not there. Head, hands, anything that could lead to her identity easily. He used that time to escape. He's probably a state away by now. If I were a local, I'd have looked heavily at anyone who was leaving town, even if they scheduled to leave prior to her abduction. I think this was well-thought-out. He must have watched her awhile on her way to school. At least a couple days, first.

too many. even my DH knew about that place. not sure he went there, but he knew it was haunted.
prob every HS boy for the past 30 + years went there.

Good evidence that he's probably a local then. And it's sick that he'd put a body there then, well even more sick than I guess it already is.

I wonder why LE thinks he's a local?

I was always under the impression he knew the area but didn't love there because I thought it would make you way too easy to get caught, put it seems most perps don't think that way.

I was going to point out the acne issue, but I wasn't sure if that was me being shallow, and I wasn't sure if that's something a typical witness notices?

I think if a witness was able to notice eye color, they'd notice a bad complexion. JMO

His complexion is probably due to meth. His mother is or was a nurse.

The meth angle crossed my mind. He has a gas mask but if he was into meth why was he selling it? Unless he got the new improved model! Does one need potassium cyanide to make meth?

Wow, I am really going o/t. I will hush now!

Sheesh apparently ever ROS looks like the the candy man. Seen so many matched up with him lol

You can't match a blue-eyed man to a brown-eyed one. It just doesn't work.

(Anyone else here get nervous/paranoid about the google searches you end up doing as a result of this thread? Everything from body recovery sites to potassium cyanide. Sigh. )
Think of how much you learn. It's like college, for free.

The 7news in Denver is saying that the County Sherriff Robinson says there is no link between this man and JR case.

Scary how many people do dismembering! I wonder if that will be a "trend" among criminals now bc they want to hide DNA evidence.

Hey Thess.... you should come hang out in the Unidentified Forum. I think you have a knack for this.

:floorlaugh:

If my boyfriend ever goes missing, I'm a goner if the police check my computer!! I can hear the prosecutor tell the jury, "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, what normal woman conducts Google searches for dismemberment, body disposal sites and potassium cyanide?" I believe they'd throw the book at me!

Oh, you're talking to an internet autodidact of the first order, it's just that I'm usually googling more innocent things, like 16th century British history, or "why does my cat try to lick my armpit".

This crazy kid probably dismembered his mother. And we think that Jessica's killer MIGHT have done the same to her. That seems like pretty major similarity, imo.

CU-Boulder was recently evacuated over an odd smell

Several hundred students have been evacuated from the Engineering Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder so firefighters could investigate an odor that was first noticed in the chemical wing, according to CU police.

Don't be sorry, I didn't think you were implicating anything! I just wanted to clarify the reason I pointed out his complexion as I got in a hurry and didn't do it in my first post and didn't want people to think I was being snarky! Ugh, I need to go to bed, my brain is frazzled! It was storming bad here and I couldn't sleep but I think it is over for now so maybe I can get to sleep.

Yeah, but you can't get there from the sketch.

I work a lot in the Unidentified forum. Dismemberment is not as rare as you would think.

I was looking at it earlier today and absolutely fascinated, esp. with some of the matches that have been made, but was still trying to figure out how it all works. As you can see, I'm hooked on this thread, but I will definitely come poke around more tomorrow. Thank you!
