Some very nice things mentioned about WS in the link, and the blogger seems to know some details. But, I'm stuck on the former prosecutors' statement about finding the body "facing in different directions". I mean, there's the MSM statement about the body being found in a plastic garbage bag? Do we combine both statements and "assume" there were multiple bags?

The MSM statement is linked/quoted in the very next post (#1108), but I cannot figure out how to "multi-quote". I haven't had enough coffee to make my brain work, yet. :notgood: Could someone help me out for the future, please!

I, too, am puzzled by the inconsistencies of how the body was found... In bag vs displayed...:waitasec:

I imagine that poor man is thinking that same thing... Over and over...

Well he has a car and a cell phone!

Had this ever happend before where she didnt show up and got herself to school alone Have they left her before or was this a first time?
If this was the first time wouldnt they think something was wrong?

If Jess was late wouldnt mom call this and and say Jess wont make it instead of
having this guy waiting for someone that wont come I cant UNDERSTAND them leaving without her JMO

Some random thoughts about the cross...

If the cross was pulled off of him, or the chain or cord around his neck broke, the cord or chain would have been still threaded though it. If a jump ring was though the hole in the cross and a chain threaded though that, the chain would stay around his neck and the cross would fall off if pulled, and maybe the jump ring would still be in the cross hole. I have to wonder if they found a cord or chain, my guess is no, or they would have shown pictures of it to get the public to try to remember someone with this kind of cross and chain or cord.

The cross represents a number things to different people. Perhaps for him it represents an event where he is a victim among others of some sort of unjustified event. Christ was crucified without cause, he was innocent. So maybe something happened where he went to jail, or someone hurt him and maybe 2 others and that is his way of carrying the cross, or remembering it. The slashes could be him and two others in his family, maybe brothers or sisters. He may have been in foster care and seperated from his siblings, something like that.

IMO, all that LE wants to know is if A) anyone knows who this cross belonged too B) if anyone local sells this cross.

Like if you know someone who had a cross like this and now it's gone, notify them.

Excerpt from an earlier article where a black plastic bag is mentioned....

Posted: 10/16/2012
AirTracker 7 flew over the area shortly after the body was discovered. AirTracker video showed that the remains were found near a culvert, and had been placed on a black plastic bag when investigators were looking at it. It's not clear if the body had been in the bag.

Just adding this case to Carbuff's awesome list... The case of Tracy Neef, which is a lot like this one MOO
http://blogs.denverpost.com/coldcas...anishes-after-mom-drops-her-off-at-school/37/

"At 1:30 p.m. the day Tracy disappeared, a man found her red school bag next to a dirt road at Barker Reservoir in Boulder County."
SBM

Yes, I don't have recent cases on my list yet. Thank you!

eta: wait, that's an older case too -- and only 9 miles away: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...GEan8q-gno1g&oq=bertha+&mra=ls&t=m&z=12&via=1

Clearly some gaps in my research! :p

:what:

:what: :what:
I spotted this cross this morning too. I'm sure LE is looking at everyone who's been showing up at the fundraisers, as well as looking at everything on FB. If this perp is taunting, it wouldn't be odd for him to show up in social media, or even interject himself into the searches/fundraisers, etc. Sick, just sick.
Every morning I wake up hoping this is the day they find this sicko.

I guess LE has interviewed everyone who lives between Jessica and where her friend lives. Did the friend or dad notice a car driving a little too fast for the residential area? Did anyone notice a vehicle driving too fast? (in case a suspect vehicle was driving the opposite way of where the friend lives?)

The info about people who fly their model airplanes at the Arvada Open Space area has me thinking. Model airplanes is a hobbyist activity and the wooden cross is also a craft item IMO. Who in the area is into flying model airplanes or similar (setting off rockets, flying helicopters, remote controlled vehicles) and would possess a wooden cross?

Matou, can you tell me the source of the model airplane reference? My husband used to build them, fly them and go to competitions on the East coast here. This is a huge hobby for some men and they spend $$$$ building and flying and competing. Was there a competition in Arvada Open Space that week?

Yes. Many many many many many people wear crosses. Hunting down people wearing crosses, even wooden ones (which isn't that unusual in a casual, earthy place like CO), isn't going anywhere. They want someone who knows about this specific cross, so they can find some specific information.

I still have the feeling it's a dead end, even if they find whose it is/was, but I guess they have info we don't.

We dont know that they have any dna to compare it with!

Wouldn't LE have to have the unsubs DNA to rule out suspects?

http://www.kktv.com/news/headlines/...thers-Murder-And-Ridgeway-Case-175074661.html

10/20/2012: Westminster, Colorado: DNA Rules out Link Between Suspect in Mother’s Murder and Jessica Ridgeway Dismemberment Case: For a minute, police thought they might have Jessica Ridgeway’s killer in custody. Ari Liggett, 24, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of his mother in Arapahoe County. He was found driving with the dismembered remains of a woman in the backseat of his car, later identified as his mother. Liggett and his mother had both been reported missing Monday.
A law enforcement source told sister station KCNC that the similarity in the state of Jessica’s and Beverly Liggett’s remains aroused suspicion that their deaths could be connected, as did reports that Ari Liggett’s mental state was worsening around the time Jessica disappeared in early October.
DNA testing, however, has ruled Liggett out as a suspect in the Ridgeway case.

Confusing, isn't it?!

Just want to add... I was hoping (when reading the blog) that maybe the writer knew some "insider" facts that had been withheld from the public and thus giving us more to sleuth. Now I suppose we should just forget that info about the body.

According to the recent Denver Post article, the body remains were in a black plastic trash bag close to the culvert. A maintance man saw the bag noticed it was kinda heavy and peered inside.
