I have a few thoughts that may not be popular.

1. The crosses scratches could be random scratches from wear and mean absolutely NOTHING.

2. <modsnip> We're all looking at the same pics..."similar", "close" "of the same style", etc. The examples I've seen so far haven't even been what I would consider in the same family of art/jewelry.

It's taken quite a while to catch up today.

I wanted to bring this over from the previous thread, posted by Jax49:

"CBS4 has learned that for two days this week, police investigators working on the Jessica Ridgeway murder case thought they might have their man. They were heavily focused on Ari Misha Liggett as the likely suspect, but DNA testing has now cleared Liggett of involvement in the disappearance and death of the 10-year-old girl."

This answers the 'do they have DNA' question.


I guess we don't need to be looking so hard at RSO's, right? Their DNA would be in the system, and LE would be able to make a match.

Also, I would assume if the perp had ever been in prison, his DNA would be on file as well.

Which indicates to me that the perp in Jessica's murder is not an RSO and has never been incarcerated.

Am I interpreting this info correctly?

THANK YOU for this! I also figured they had to have DNA to rule him out so fast. We don't get a lot of stuff like this here, so two dismemberment cases in a week is a little strange.

Seems like today's announcement re:cross is a major development. I'm hoping and trusting that it will bring answers and identify the perp.

Have they released a sketch of the Ketner Lake "light skinned male" yet?? I haven't come across one yet.

I don't think we will find a matching one anyway. It's crudely made, like someone carved it themselves. And I don't see any hole in it at the top like they said?

2. If the crosses you are finding are "similar" don't bother posting them. They're not a match. Unless it's the exact.same.cross it's a waste of time. We're all looking at the same pics..."similar", "close" "of the same style", etc. The examples I've seen so far haven't even been what I would consider in the same family of art/jewelry.

Oh, I just thought of this- Maybe the perps necklace got caught in the barbed wire fence as he was crawled under it to dump her remains?

That would also solve the puzzle of how was LE able to say with such certainty that the perp crawled under the barbed wire fence in the first place...

Could be!
Or if it had been in someone's pocket for a while, maybe the zigzags were marks made by other keys, or pocket knife?

Here's another sorta-connection to a famous case...exactly 20 years to the day:

Well, they could have been rubbing against the same thing--especially if they were on a keychain (for example). If they bang against a sharp edge hard enough, it would be easy. I agree those ones look more deliberate, but I'm not ready to read them like tea leaves without knowing more about it.

Why wouldn't they have released a sketch back in May? Maybe the victim could not make a sketch,
