I am not speaking for anyone but myself, or to anyone in particular, but if someone makes you uncomfortable, please contact a mod privately and tell them your concerns. Don't discuss it on the boards. First of all, if they're innocent, you've just not so subtly accused them of a heinous crime. If the perp were reading and posting here, I am certain that LE would want them to continue.

There is always a "first" kill. We can hope this will be his last.

Yes there is always a "first" kill, but not a dismemberment, that is rare. Shows he has no problem doing what he did.

I saw some excerpts from it, but I think I joined discussion after the actual show...

I am not sure we are thinking the same things though. I think this guy had some ideas, etc. and was not involved in any way, but that his posts were just jumped on.

Is that your impression?

This must be a reference to Mister Mayor. He made some very interesting comments and observations while trying to profile the perp from the big picture perspective. What was interesting was the observation, prior to the discovery of the remains, that each of the known locations was close to open spaces.

Now we have additional connections with open spaces at Ketner Lake/ Kensington Park, plus we know that Jessica's remains were found in a remote open space/park. It was a good call on behalf of Mister Mayor to make the connections. It's likely that being local helped in making the connections.

Why would a 'satanist' not leave a satanic icon instead of a Christian one? Where does the satanism thing come from?

I understand anything is technically "possible" but I have to wonder if there is value in getting lots of rumors started based on basically nothing.
I think the research done by kateinfl is well worth a thought.....and interesting. What I can't tie together, and being one that doesn't know alot about satanism---nor wanting to,... is why would Hebrew markings be on a Christian symbol, and then Satanism collectively with the three vavs? Also, isn't the cross of Satanism one that is upside down? Unless it was crafted by the perp in his twisted thinking and beliefs linking them all? Oh, I so don't want to go there.

Some people are creeped by the discussion of "not intact"....me....it's this. Just {{{{{}}}}} creepy, but necessary.

I have enough confidence in LE to think that if they changed the description, they had a reason.

I have all the faith in the world in the LE but which report: http://abcnews.go.com/US/jessica-ri...tempted-jogger/story?id=17516930#.UINo-IXTlJM

The suspect was described as a white male, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches with brown hair and average build.

???????? What change? I do NOT want to eliminate anyone, ever ... but going by the earlier reports from May (I linked to earlier) and this report... it's clear to me.

Peace. Off to bed I go.

Yes. And yes to everything on that.

Can you tell me the post youre referring to? I am not finding any RF males. How far down the wall?

AMEN and I so AGREE. NOT worn ever, ever, ever. IMO and those that I know and respect informed me about that "hole". lol

Well I have a wood cross on a leather cord, the leather is tied in such a way that the cross doesn't move and it has NO wear at all. None.

I'm on my phone and can't look this up to link, but wasn't there recently a "groping" suspect still at large who is a bald white guy? I see the sketch clear as day in my head, hope I'm attaching it to the right case.

Maybe we should post the sketchs of each in the media thread and what particular incident and where in the media thread for reference. ??? I know I'm at the point of confusion with them all too.

I respectfully disagree that this is the only conclusion. It is one conclusion. But it might show that he panicked and tried to hide the identity of the body.

I always bring up Holly Jones and Michael Briere. That was his first (and fortunately only) kill, and he dismembered her, but that was because he panicked and was trying to hide the body. It wasn't number one on his list of things to do, and he (according to his testimony- he declared himself guilty as charged) did not premeditate the murder. He just had a dead girl on his hands and did what he thought he needed to get rid of her.

Well, I was trying to avoid saying it directly, but there will always be a "first" dismemberment as well, IF the guy isn't stopped after the first one! I mean really, it may be the only dismemberment a perp does, but if someone is dismembered, it is just as reasonable to believe this is the first time as it is to believe they have done it previously! If a person is going to dismember another human being...there will be a "first" time...they can't start at their "second" time!

Funny I was just about to post this too. I heard this on an a cop show many years ago (can't remember if it was "Cops" or something similar, but it was a reality show). Sounds like there are many reasons people might do this. I guess I can stop worrying about the questionable house up the street quite so much now. ;)

I'm a little bit behind, apologies if this has already been discussed, but were there shoes found? Or is this whole shoe discussion coming from something else such as maybe the cross or something else was found in a tree?

Shoes-in-a-tree are entirely hypothetical -- yes, postulating that IF cross was found in tree with something larger/more eye-attracting, it could have been shoes. ONLY A THEORY....

It probably has some sentimental value to you, but is otherwise not connected to any symbolic weirdness that would result in triangles made from points in a straight line.

In the video the reporter says light skinned man while the article says white male.

Is the general consensus that this perp parked on the roadside and carried Jessica's remains under an area of barbed wire fence? Why would he do that? Even on a deserted roadway, wouldn't he be fearful of being detected?

Not necessarily. The perp apparently wasn't fearful when he "snatched" Jessica in broad daylight in a busy area. We really do not know how the body ended up on the other side of the fence.

I am on my phone now so bear with me. : )
The post is under the "recommendations" link on the WPD FB page. I cannot see "recommendations" from my phone. There was some chit chat about the posts around page 19-ish of this thread (give or take a couple pages). I will go back and try to find it too. I am sure I will screw something up when trying to post the link.

They updated it recently. Yesterday's police bulletin says:

Police believe there may be a connection between the Jessica Ridgeway murder and the attempted abduction at Ketner Lake, and urge the public to specifically look for someone with a cross like this that matches the suspect’s description from Ketner Lake.

• Light skinned male
• 18-35 (or someone who’s appearance with a ball cap may look that age)
• Brown hair
• Medium build
• 5’06” to 5’08” (Height can vary above or below these approximations)

So apparently they don't want to rule out light-skinned Hispanics, mixed race, etc.

Peace and goodnight. I should be in bed too...

BBM

Not true. He joined on 10/12. The remains were found on 10/10. So there could be no inside knowledge in that aspect displayed here on WS because he hadn't joined or posted prior to the body being found.

Was this released somewhere that I missed? LE said that the body was not in a bag or covered or anything, laying out in the open? Can you link that for me, I missed it.
