@tlcox....thanks. Also I don't know if it is peritant but the letter A is prominent. The backpack was found on the corner of Andrew and Alpha way as in I am the Alpha male and in Superior Co as in I am superior . Sitting upright as in placed not thrown. Her clothes were in the backpack inside out. No socks found. The body disposed of in Arvada. The crime was almost a perfect triangle. There is a triangle in the letter A. There is also a pic online of a huge letter A in graffiti on a headstone in Pattridge Park. I think if this case is solved it will be due to DNA evidence and not speculation on peoples parts.

Interesting theories on the A's and triangular nature of the crime scenes.

I agree, speculation will not solve this case, WPD will do that through forensics I think, but the speculation sure helps us to pass the time as we all await an arrest.

And lately, with the surge of internet usage in recent years and the sheer numbers of people out here theorizing, law enforcement does indeed watch sites such as this one. Very occasionally, I am convinced they have gotten fresh perspectives or viewpoints from posters such as you and I, causing them to look at a lead with new eyes.

Hope you will continue to post your thoughts vallan. Two years is a long time to lurk ;)

Is WS being glitchy? I see join date is in 2010 with only 3 posts

:floorlaugh: AAHAHAHAHAHA! Mea Culpa! You're right...I must have been looking at someone else's corner! That's what I get for sticking my nose in! Having a senior moment, I guess. Sorry! :blushing:

@Iamnotagolem...LOL. Thanks. I think. Had a little xtra time on me hands I think ? Also I do Tarot and astrology. Did a reading. My card said that she has run into this guy before. She was very trusting. The card also said that he had a recent breakup with girlfriend spouse. He recently lost job and his current job was very new. We will see if the cards are right....? Also the cross that was found is no where to be found on Google. Many similar but this odd cross may have been custom made by perp or by a craft maker...maybe someone local. It looks Christian Catholic.

Very interesting

I know this wasn't directed at me, but thought I'd give the answer. In the upper right corner of the post you can see the join date and number of posts. The poster has been registered since Aug 2011 and has close to 1,700 posts. Not a new poster.

That is weird because when I looked at the top corner it said ' 2' posts. odd.

For anyone who is interested in understanding what can be determined by DNA, especially predicting "race" and skin pigmentation, this is really interesting. It is from 2008, so things have undoubtedly advanced since then, none the less it is very much worth the time to listen:

I too feel he has recently experienced some sort of triggering event, not sure if a break up but something drove him/compelled him to take Jessica. I also think she was not alarmed as she felt he "fit in" or belonged. This suggests at least a passing familiarity with seeing him around.

Oh hypervigilance, you make life so....exhausting.

That's how my inner danger alarm is...one continuous beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I am actually much better than I was even 2 or 3 years ago, but still most days I have to make the conscious choice multiple times throughout the day to ignore the alarm so that I can go about the business of life. It is wearing me out.

That is horrible PJD! I actually don't walk around scared, but I DO tend to walk around prepared. I have weapons at home that are safe, but easily accessible, and I pay very close attention to where I park, who is walking around me, etc. For instance, I have to walk a great distance into work. The other morning, a car slowed down, and the driver lowered his window, and said "Can I ask you something?" There was an automatic instinct to walk closer to the car to hear what he was saying.... but MY trained, well-honed, Websleuths instinct caused me to pause, and then slowly, deliberately, confidently, took a step backwards. I folded my arms over my chest, cocked my hip out with attitude, and said "Sure". He had driven by the parking lot I was walking from, and saw another vehicle that had been left with the front door open and he wanted to know if I was the driver. I wasn't, and I thanked him, and continued on. I can certainly see, how a 'nice person' who wants to 'help' would be easily lured closer to a car to answer a question.... because I am a nice person, and that was my instinct!:floorlaugh: I also do home defense drills where we 'practice' what to do if an intrusion occurs. They are very helpful - just like a fire drill. So, PJD, maybe it will help if you can find ways to take control, like drills of what to do if blah, blah, blah happens??? We should have a thread down in the basement maybe, for how we all deal with personal safety issues. :twocents:

okay, that is very weird because I too only saw one post listed by vallan's name, despite the old join date.

I am voting for glitchy WS, either that or I an golem are both experiencing the same hallucination lol

ETA nevermind, I see you are just having one of your senior moments (bwah hah, thank goodness I am not alone in those)

Vallan, now you've gone and done it. It always starts with that first innocent little post and before you know it, you've become a red-eyed, greasy fingered (from eating meals while scanning for updates) Websleuths Zombie! You'll never be able to get away now! (:Banane37: aaarghAAHAHAHAHA!

By the way, I must have missed the bolded details, was this info in a recent press conference or MSM article?)

Going back to lurking. It's safer.

A clump of blond hair found about a mile away from crime scene was found and they believe it belonged to Jessica. Sad :(

:what:

Do you have a link for that?

TIA

does anyone know what kind of info can be gleaned from DNA that would help find the perp?

Does it identify gender for instance? Anything at all that would narrow the field?

Yes, DNA identifies the biological sex of the donor.

As for other traits... maybe. The problem is that knowing, say, likely natural hair colour is not useful in this day of readily available hair dyes.

Has the above been posted? One of the cases listed is ~

In October 1991, Amanda Gaeke was obducted while riding her bike on her way home from school.
Eleven days later her body was found in a canyon. Several suspects emerged, the man who found her body claimed that satan spoke to him while he educated LE that October is the month that children are offered as sacrifices to satan. Wouldn't it seem obvious that LE had the perp? It would be easy to jump to that conclusion imo.

DNA was found on little Amanda's remains, so LE was able to rule out the next several suspects by comparing DNA. After that, LE didn't get a break for four years. A person with information came forward and a DNA match was made.
I find it interesting that a receipt was found near Amanda's body. LE tried to trace it to the name "Kim" that was on the receipt but were unsuccessful in '91. It turned out that was the perp's mother's name that he sometimes used.

http://articles.latimes.com/1991-10-15/local/me-537_1_north-park

This case was featured on ID 'Unusual Suspects' recently. Often it seems cases are aired that may have common elements with a current unsolved case.

It's interesting to look at older cases and notice how different (or unlikely?) the perp ends up being when they solve the case. In Amanda's case there were several likely suspects, who without DNA could have potentially been charged. Finely LE got the break they needed and were able to match the DNA sample the perp left behind to the deserving monster. He turned out to be a random neighborhood teenager, who obviously was deranged but passing as normal, who jumped on the opportunity to capture, abuse, torture and kill this adorable little nine year old girl while she rode her bike home from school. It appears he acted on impulse when the opportunity arose. :furious: Thank God somebody turned him in to the police and that they had DNA evidence to make the match.

LOL... As one of those newcomers, been posting for less than a day, I gotta say it's serious work following just one case dilligently. Sorting through the articles, rumors, theories, details, so many good ideas that would've never crossed my mind.... solid place, solid people. I'll have to build in daily naps with my WSing!

We were talking about all of this a number of threads ago. Seems like LE is on the DNA connecting things.
