Why are they doing the door-to-door searching now? Why not the past three days?

I wondered that too..

but what I recall..in the first days... LE went to neighbors.. Most let LE search house.. Except a few with sleeping children, etc.

I think the FBI is doing the searches now...

IIRC, that's correct. There were houses where the residents weren't home, and others where people wouldn't let LE search at that time.

When looking at the map of Rock Creek, can somebody tell me which house the backpack was found next to? It looks like it was a culdesac, wondering if it was right there next to the path into the neighborhood from the open area behind it.

Here's where it was found:

Just off the sidewalk, in the grass, about even with the front porch of that house, which is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Andrews Way and Alpha Ct.

FBI and PD now in #JessicaRidgeway neighbor home. Police just arrived at the 10 year old's home as well, according to FNC producer on scene.

this is a picture of the house a couple down from Jessica's that police are at; wonder if it is the RSO's place?

The RSO lives on Moore CIRCLE vs Moore St. Moore Circle is around the next corner--to the east of her house. Actually, that looks similar to the house of the guy they interviewed on the video that went over to the Ridgeways' just to express his sadness and say he had been searching for her....and he said he lived a few houses down. Could be something...or nothing.... IMO It's in the opposite direction of the park tho.

They have not said there were clothes in the BP, but did indicate today she might not be in the same clothes. And what I read was a "possible" witnesses to her on the street.

Oh, something I just remember from this mornings presser. I didn't hear the question, but LE would not confirm or discuss cell phone info at all. I wish we knew if she had a cell phone.

ICE is helping because of their expertise in searching wide open spaces.

It was reported they were bringing in unmanned surveillance. Maybe it's the ICE drones.

The press needs to add her hair may have been cut and the color changed in order to change her appearance. It's a given, but they need reminded. IMO

MOO If she's dressed as a boy now, she'd need new glasses as her's are pink and black. It might be why LE is saying don't concentrate on what she was said to be wearing.

Can't answer your first question, but as for the second, Westminster PD spokesperson stated specifically, in their afternoon press conference, that a witness DID see Jessica walking to school that morning. Sorry, I don't have a link for press conference.

It really pains me to think that this father could be forbidden from traveling to CO, to be forced to miss out on hearing any info that LE has to offer the family and ask questions face to face because of this conviction and probation. DV is a terrible crime. One that he deserves to be punished for without a doubt but if he wants to be on his daughter's home turf during this time I hope somebody in the probation dept will have the heart to make it happen.

** now I only know what has been reported about his criminal history and I'm assuming he isn't a repeat offender since he was offered diversion. If I'm incorrect there I would have to rethink the above based on that new info.

I owe the father an apology. I made a snide remark yesterday implying he had a bad attitude for not being here -- which is clearly wrong, at least regarding his daughter.
