her kidnapper walked her on this street. she dropped it.

And he/she did not happen to notice? I doubt any kidnapper is walking through suburbia with a kidnapped child a few miles from her home. Even a few hundred miles.

Welcome ZhaZhaHa! :cheer:

I agree about the backpack placement. I bet the fbi behavior analysts are having a field day with it. I hope they have a geographical profiler helping local law enforcement as well.

What strikes me about the placement of the backpack is that the house it was placed next to has no windows on that side of the house, and there is no view from the backyard due to the high fence, so the house the backpack was next to couldn't see what you were doing. The perp probably picked that location because of those reasons, although he still could have been seen by the house across the street on Andrew Way (maybe it's lights were out).

I wouldn't be surprised if the perp lives, or lived, in the area, or has some connection to it beyond looking for a victim. I lived in Jessica's neighborhood (a long time ago) and in Denver and Boulder, and those areas of Superior and Westminster are not areas you just wind up in, they are off the beaten path in a way. If you are travelling to Boulder from the central or east Denver metro area you take Hwy 36, and if you are going to Boulder from Golden or western Denver suburbs you take Foothills Hwy, both of which bypass Superior and that area of Westminster.

I wonder if they'll be able to pull any finger prints off the bag, name tag or water bottle.

I'm chiming in late but I see no reason for this to have been put out there (by the news station). It may be true but it doesn't seem relevant and could lead to the abductor thinking that Jessica is better off with them. Ok, slim chance but it is just dirty reporting. I simply can't get behind victimizing the parents without cause. Crap like that article makes me appreciate this site all the more. As a former journalist I hate seeing a profession that I loved turn into a rush to dig up dirt instead of dig up relevant leads.

I wonder if there's a connection between the street names at that intersection where the backpack was found (Andrew Way & Alpha) and the perp. Perhaps his name is Andrew and he this abduction is about power (alpha being top dog). Isn't rape often about power? Is abduction too, in a way? Just trying to think outside the box.

To me it makes most sense that this person drove McCaslin, pulled off the side of the road when he/she saw houses, cut through that open area between fences (if you zoom in on the google map you see a wide open grassy area), and dropped the backpack off on Alpha and Andrew. I don't know that the Alpha/Andrew means anything, but I bet this person has driven past this many times and knew right where to go (or perhaps they lived in the neighborhood at one time).

Respectfully Snipped-

This is how I feel also. Dropping the backpack off in a residential neighborhood, away from where Jessica was taken is a diversionary tactic. I can't shake the feeling that whoever took her is from her own neighborhood, someone who has seen her walking alone in the mornings. All just MOO.

One thing I have not seen WPD mention as we have seen in other cases ...
If someone you know is acting out of character, maybe missed work or school that morning, seen cleaning their vehicle ...
Not verbatim, but you guys know what I mean.

Above BBM...This is my strong belief as well..

Please note the address at the map below, the pic matches that of the reporters tweet above. Jessica does not live three houses up from the park.

Not sure if my earlier link takes you directly to the page of the sketch of the child enticement suspect (Arvada Co)

Im unfamiliar with this area is this the same county from which jessica was abducted?..if not what is the distance from the area Jess was abducted?..TIA..

IMO this could be a very likely suspect if in the same area or near to where jess lives and was abducted..

Best thing you can do? Share photos & flyers. We do not need volunteers at this time.

I'm still a little surprised that more volunteer searchers aren't being used. Especially now that the search area has expanded with the finding of the backpack.

Perhaps Jessica usually had a change of clothes in her bag- gym clothes, Brownie uniform, or just an extra change in case of emergency. I knew a little girl who was always tearing her clothes or spilling spaghetti sauce on herself, and my, er, rather her mother always had to bring something into school.

If there was usually that extra set of clothing in her bag, and it wasn't there when the bag was found...

cute story about you... Ahem... Uh... A little girl!

Is this information wrong? Is there another link giving the address that you have posted?

"Jessica's mother stood in the front yard of their home at 10768 Moore St. until her daughter was out of sight."

It was misreported originally. Links to corrections & property records have been posted several times. HTH [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8429311&postcount=71"]post[/ame]

If there is a strong belief that this was an abduction of any sort, then they will not use volunteers most likely for case integrity. IMO at this point, with what we know at least, it's the right call.
