IIRC, the closest RSO lives on Moore Circle? I'll go look it up ...

You are correct and the second closest about 5 mins away as the crow flies by Chelsea Park is on 106th......

So, how far away were they? And how do you know this? Is there a map? Just would like to compare for myself. TIa

Jessicas address is 10786 Moore St.

When the map comes up it is a little overwhelming, look to the north and find Standley Lake, it is the area just above and to the right a bit that is in the rectangular area. Between 100th and 108th, hope that helps

I thought so, too, and I thought it was just one RSO, not two???

Do we know if this RSO committed offenses against children? There are numerous crimes that could cause him to be an RSO that do not involve children.

I wonder if the neighbors were aware about the RSO living in their midst.

Can you look it up, the site is not working with me tonight. I think both of them have red hair.

It doesn't say on the registry. It just has Convictions: _____ and that's it.

I know it because I have read almost every single post on Thread #1 and Thread #2. Tracking RSOs is not my specialty so I rely on others to gather the info, which has been done. However, Websleuths Rules regarding posting that kind of info is hard to understand, and I don't want to risk a Time Out for posting info that isn't allowed here. But, I will say that one RSO was listed as residing on Moore Circle, which is very nearby and 3 others not so nearby. Otherwise, I think the explicit postings have been removed. Maybe others know more and can help you.

People use websites like FamilyWatchdog to ascertain those sorts of things. That's all I know.

Why is it, in so many of these child abduction cases, people expect the parent or parents to go on camera and express how distraught they are & beg the perp to return the child? Why is it, if the parent or parents don't do that, they are considered suspect? Heck, in many cases, even if they do talk to the media & appear distraught they are still analyzed and scrutinized and considered suspect because they don't "behave" the way some think they should.

Search intensifies for girl who disappeared on way to school. Hadn't seen this posted. Good photos of searches, fields, dog. Not on a device that let's me paste photos here. Some had been discussing terrain earlier today.

I think people can't help thinking of what they feel they would do, in a similar situation, that they would want any chance to get on TV, maybe the tiny chance that their child might see them or hear their message to the child. In fact, who knows what one would really, but I think most people feel they would be itching to get on camera to try to plea for safe return and to tell child they loved them.

Sure, I'll look it up and get right back to you.

I'm glad you look at this official website - some of the others out there are woefully out of date.

ETA: There is one RSO living on Moore Court in Westminster. Born 1977. Red hair and hazel eyes. 6'2" and 245 lbs. Last name Renelt.

rules on RSOs
New Rules on Sex Offenders and Rumors - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Here is the thread on RSOs.

You can link to RSOs in the area. You cannot sleuth them other than what is listed on this thread. If you have a question about a particular case and a particular RSO and what can and cannot be posted in depth you can post your question for administration on this thread.

((please note: questioning of what can and cannot be posted and moderation questions should not be placed on the general discussion thread. I hope that helps. If anyone has a further question please pm a moderator or administrator.))

There are often helpful, informative posts by mods at the front of threads, like this one, for those with questions. Our mods are very helpful and happy to answer questions.

And in some of these cases that posters have followed for awhile, it can be the first sign that something's not as it appears. Just one more clue to throw into the mix with the sole goal of determining the truth about what happened to a child and bringing him or her home, safely if at all possible.

Mark Klaas has been involved here and given some very good advice for parents to follow, but not everyone has that info. And personalities and situations are different.

Moo

Where is Jessica??

PS Btw, in case anyone ever needs it, there's a thread [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71513"]here[/ame] with info for parents of the missing, which includes the link to this guide. We did have one longtime poster whose daughter went missing a few months ago. With WS help, she found her safe.

Re: my reference to mods above, they do a hard often thankless job, and new posters might be intimidated to directly ask them questions. Just appreciating the work they do and encouraging people to feel comfortable not intimidated abt asking questions. :)

I think it would depend on the person's emotional stability. If Jessica's mother is blaming herself (and I am sure she is), she might not be able to physically withstand public scrutiny. Sommer Thompson's mother was mentioned earlier. She was a very strong person. She was able to stand up to the scrutiny. I think each situation would be different depending on if the parent feels they are to blame.

There is an option ("List") that allows you to see a list of the RSO's without having to deal with the map. I believe it is listed by zip codes.
