I don't think he dismembered her in the field. If he did then he would have left some of her there and taken the rest home? It seems to me he kept her head at home.
It's really hard to write that. :(
It just isn't adding up. In the words of house "everybody lies"

BREAKING NEWS: No charges today for the suspect in the #JessicaRidgeway murder. Austin Sigg will be back in court for that on Oct. 30th.

I think 9News reporter is a little slow, huh?

Did they find more and need time to get more on him before they charge him officially?

:waitasec: Am I the only one confused by this tweet? So why was he in court?

LE Interviewing his actual friends is very important. I noticed that he and his friend, seen in his kitchen, and AS, seen in his junior yearbook picture, are wearing very similar black t-shirts with white airy designs. The friend chose to wear his, with skulls, for his interview about AS, the accused/confessed child murderer. That, in and of itself, is just creepy.

I posted this same thing last night; other than his "obsession with death", which lots of a certain type of teens have, and even that could be "explained" by his interest in forensics, what else is there, I wonder? Does he really have a record, or is that a media tease, i.e. saying his juvenile record can't be released-does that mean he HAS one, or are they just saying in a sensational kind of way that juvenile records can't be released, inferring he has one? It would be scarier, IMO, if he does not have a record or at least a history of some sort that pointed to more than just a "goth" teen who was anti-social, etc...
Add to the above he had a "collection of ...knives and swords..." per the ex-girlfriend and a male friend who mentioned his knife collection, too....

Charges in DIstrict Court will be on Tuesday. Today was something re. Juvenile Court. No charges pressed today this will be Tuesday. His attorney referred to him as a juvenile.
His family was there as well as Jessica's. His family was bawling.

If anyone finds out what court was all about, please tell us...
I know he probably did not need to enter a plea today, but why wouldn't charges be read?

ETA: So this is about trying to keep case as juvenile?

17-year-old #AustinSigg will be charged as an adult, JeffCo DA Scott Storey says. Sigg is being held w/o bond, despite defense's request.

I've finally caught up with this thread since the arrest! Damn, you guys fill threads fast! Ha.
I was so shocked that he is only 17. I can't remember a case of a body being dismembered by someone so young! This guy would have been a serial killer for sure IMO.
Good on his poor mother for turning him in, she did the right thing. I hope he is never released from prison.

Okay from what I got from reporter

It was juvenile court today the prep was refered to today as a juvenile by attorney.

Has a public defender.

Next week it will transfer to adult court and he will be transfered to jail?

I may have misunderstood last part.

I don't get it...please plead guilty. I mean, if human remains were found under the house, what more is there to say...I guess they want to try to have any plea deal made under juvenile laws? Or at least, try to?I wonder if that means if it goes to adult court, he will plead not guilty.

How does a 17 year old get to this point?

That's the question of the day..... I'm no where near caught up with this thread, but the thought occured to me, with this kids obsession with death and decomp why take the fork in the road towards murder as opposed to something along the lines of an internship or job at the body farm?

  • #138
Per the reporter.... said the suspect did ask some questions, was alert

unlike the Colorado theater shooter. per 9news reporter.

  • #139
He can't plead until he's charged, right? How can he plead guilty when he hasn't been told what he's charged with?

Today was probably just to transfer him from Juvenile to Adult system ..

imo
