On the "Denver channel" stream the mikes are open, just heard some stuff about sex offenders and sentencing.

  • #242
Open mike chatter: they are going to talk about the planning involved. I also heard Ketner involved. (They are still on break)

  • #243
Heh, they just cut the mike.

We are hearing testimony at #AustinSigg case, but no video right now. Working on it.

The 9news video is working for now.

Doctor not aware of any other crime like this by a juvenile in U.S. history

Testimony now regarding the types of adolescent offenders, basically they are breaking down which types are likely to re-offend.

They just asked her if she'd ever seen a case like this (17 yo abducting and killing 11yo), she said she hadn't. "This type is extremely rare."

Basically they are drawing a firm line between this crime and other crimes committed by teens due to immaturity.

Giving examples of his planning. She just said that he planted the backpack on purpose to throw off LE.

Also said the jogger made him realize he needed a smaller victim.

We're going over Ketner now.

Psychologist: #AustinSigg decided when he wasn't successful w/ attack on adult jogger, he needed younger, more defenseless victim.

Oh god.

Graphic details of where they found the cross. :( Not posting.

  • #255
Thanks for any brave soul that can continue watching this.
I just can't.

  • #256
Establishing that he planned to try to throw off police.

They just confirmed something I've said all along--that he left the backpack there to be found, on purpose.

  • #257
They halted the discussion regarding the cross.

This is really awful. :(

Poor Jessica. I hope her family is not in the court room for this. :'(

This witness seems to be rejecting the psych eval by a Dr Waters as not making much sense--I guess due to "he's not a psychopath but he has some psychopathic processes" vagueness.

I believe what is happening right now is that the prosecution is having this witness tear down the other psych report so as to prove that he was mentally competent. She is rebutting the items one by one (no he did not having a problem with executive functioning, no he did not have a dissociative event during the crime, etc).

This is my analysis only, feel free to correct if I'm interpreting this wrong.
