My thoughts too. Alot of private planes in Colorado with all the ranches. I've also wondered about all the areas just outside of the city and burbs...in the higher elevations. Someone living up there...off the beaten path who doesn't care for too much civilization.

Well they are very close to Jeffco Airport, and Erie has an airport, as well. My dad works at an airport that houses a lot of small personal craft, I don't know what security measures are taken but there must be something?

As far as the mountains are concerned...I mostly worry about places where things can go and stay hidden. There is a lot of land out there that is never seen. Scary.

Why do I remember the first description of this car being dark/royal blue?

And my sister has an old blue Buick...I do think there are a lot out there

The Cash for Klunkers program and gas prices, thinned them out quite a bit...

I have a question for anyone who lives in CO... Are the school doors locked (so you have to ring a bell or something to be buzzed in) during the school day while kids are present? Here in IL we have had that since the 80's. It was brought on by the Laurie Dann situation in Winnetka, IL. It was the first multiple killing in a school that I am aware of.
No, not at all the schools. At my daughter's school and my niece's school (both in Jeffco) the front door is open and the office is right there. The secretaries will chase you down if you don't sign in. That's the only open door.

I remember the Laurie Dann situation. Before that, every door in our Illinois elementary school was unlocked, but afterward they went to only having the main door unlocked.

FWIW, I feel like Arvada and Westminster are basically the same city. There is no real separation of the two).]
Yes. I live right on the boundary between the two. The metro area in general is like that, with suburbs bleeding into each other. Westminster also goes way north (up to 136th or something along I-25) and further south, sort of along Federal and Lowell until it hits the Denver boundary.

I thought the vehicle was supposedly a 90's model? Or was that the candy napper? Now I'm confused.

Isn't the candy napper's car royal blue? Kentucky Blue with a fender skirt? The guy with the beard/ no beard. I am confused now also.

Oh and someone was asking the difference between Lockdown and Lockout...

Lockout - means no one comes in w/o ID and all doors locked

Lockdown - means no one in or out no matter what and all doors locked

If the child in Maine is April, I will be shocked. Relieved and happy, of course, but shocked.

Even if it was, that was Sunday, it's now Wednesday. That's a lot of time to go a lot of places.
