I just thought of something else. These days it is very easy to find out the location of RSOs and this can be used as a smoke screen to throw off the cops. I'm willing to bet that the perp dumped the bag near a RSO's house that he researched on the computer. That's what Metawala's mom did as well. She left her kid sitting alone in a car right outside the home of a RSO.

I know I just replied but I suddenly had another thought about your post.

Lee Malvo recently did an interview with the Washington Post which was doing a story about the 10th anniversary of the DC Sniper killings.

Maybe he had mentioned this before but I hadn't read it. Malvo said that after the first news stories went out about a white van being seen near the scene of one of the early shootings, he started waiting for shots where he could see a white van nearby. In other words, he used that information to create more confusion.

Other posters have noted that the backpack was left very close to the house of a woman who killed her infant.

To me, it sounded like immature boys pretending to have Jessica locked in their basement, making prank phone calls to LE, saying disgusting things about Jessica and acting like psychos. In one of them, I suspected that the "LE" was actually another little idiot, though in the other, it sounded possibly genuine.

wow. No words. Just :furious::furious::furious::furious:
Thanks for filling me in.

I wonder if they are using lights from firetruck to look also for a weapon......

A covered body just left by ambulance.

I would think the state of decomposition would be telling pretty much.
It's been since the 5th she was missing. I don't know how much decomposition might occur in that period of time, or any time after.

Hi! there could be a lot of decomp if she was left out in the open.If she were buried she could be in better shape. Oh God, shades of other cases.JF its her and they soon know for sure who did it, lets go for a one two three BANG.:furious:

Are we going to hear anymore tonight? Does anyone know?

Honestly, police can't lie about when a body was found; everything has to be by the book. I feel certain it was found sometime today. That could turn into a nightmare, legally. Not sure why the uncle would say that, if he did, that the body was found last night.

I also think the perp is local and that maybe LE is looking toward someone related to the school. No reason for a lockdown otherwise, unless perhaps they believe Jessica walked all the way to the school.

If this is Jessica, the only good news is there may be fresh DNA to ID a perp & the family can begin to grieve. So very sad. May this murderer rot in hell...!

So close to the road

Doubtful. They called a 6:30AM PC, which makes me believe they are fairly certain they have found Jessica.

I'm watching the live feed and the body was found very close to the road (82'nd and Quaker was the address they gave)

It was only a couple hundred feet away from the abandoned mine shaft. If they wanted to hide the body, that would seem to be an ideal location.

If this is indeed Jessica (and I do believe it is, unfortunately) it fits right in with the MO of placing the backpack in the residential neighborhood. They wanted her body to be found.

I thought of Kayleah early on, also... I believe Greeley is only an hour away from Westminster.

We actually don't know who murdered Kayleah.

IMO, it's Montoya, but yes, he was only convicted of sexual assault.

how close is the lock down school with the crime scene?
if not close, that makes for more questions, IMO.
