I posted that flyer at the IHOP

Just as I believe with Sierra, the backpack could have been the last bit of evidence they dumped, probably with clothing in like Sierra's. If so, even more belief for me that this is a local, and he was going home and saw he had the bag, and did not want to leave it anywhere near his own neighborhood.

I had not heard that the police would not clear all of the family.

We are from Colorado. I lived and owned a home in Westminster, Adams County- just going off of memory, we moved away 3 years ago. Wasn't trying to give out false information- thanks for the clarification. (And sorry, I never had much contact with the police, other than being served for jury duty at least once every three months it seemed like!)

It was in response to a post about Arvada- YES- they are a different city and different PD, and location of body is possibly different county. I don't know which county JR was in.

I should add that the city's and county's all jumble around each other so easy to get confused...I was just trying to clear it up on case others heard different. :)

If the uncle is right and the body was discovered yesterday, then I understand the lockdown at Jessica's school. But if it was only discovered this afternoon, possibly even after school was out, why was the school on lockdown for the day?

It was reported early today that the lockout was due to a "fake" explosive device that was found in the area.....in some sort of a donation bin IIRC.....

On the map it looks to me like the place where the backpack was found is only a block or so away from a main route north from where the body was found -- heading to Boulder?

I had not heard that the police would not clear all of the family.

They cleared the parents and did not answer when asked about the whole family.

It was left 6 miles north of the abduction site to throw police off and send them in the wrong direction.

buy more time to dispose of any evidence, clean vehicle and/or home.

Look at that sweet face....who could hurt that baby?!

Just breaks my heart!
Why does this type thing happen? She was on her way to school and POSSIBLY met the devil himself. :banghead::furious:
I am sick.

I can't post specific scanner posts here but if you go to the scanner thread from appx 450pm to 515 today I think you will know she was found today. It was just hard to put together what they were saying before the announcement.

Thank you MM.

It is the main route north to hwy 36...either to Boulder or back to Jessica's neighborhood via the fwy

I don't see why locking down her school would be done, if her body had been found. That does not compute for me, unless they have a POI at the school.

I'm confused. There is little mention of the fact that a tracking dog traced the scent of the backpack between the final location of where it was found, and a local elementary school (not JR's school).

SBM

Can you direct me to a link for that?

I ask because it was my understanding that dogs got a weak hit trailing Jessica's route to her own school but LE felt it was probably from a previous day.

I had not read that dogs trailed anywhere from where the backpack was found.

Someone they wanted to keep an eye on or under surveillance, especially if they thought they were getting very close?

Sweet Jessica, who loved to give foot massages with lotion, and pretended to be a waitress. Jessica who liked to sleep on the top bunk and make a nest in her bed, and wanted everyone to be happy.

My heart is broken but looking at her pictures still brings a smile to my face :heartluv:

But didn't they do the school lockdown much earlier in the day than it appears the body was found?

Well I hate to assume its her, since they have to wait to have a family to positively identify the body they can't release it. If they know for a fact it isn't her they would just say not related instead of not sure IF the body is related, they aren't looking for more than one body...so sad

FWIW, five days in the body is most likely not identifiable to even family. Identification would be made through DNA, fingerprints, or dentals.
