Going with a Spree Theory, The little girl in Wyoming was kidnapped by an older man (possible vet?). The man is described as a white male, 55 to 60 years old, 185 to 200 pounds, with short strawberry blond or white hair. He has a neatly or newly trimmed beard or mustache.

I can't figure out why, if the blue station wagon in NH is unrelated, it would have been abandoned. Sure, it was seen on the news and everywhere else, but wouldn't a completely innocent person come forward and say, "That was me and here's my daughter who just happens to look a lot like Jessica and we are in Maine for a completely legit reason." There are sooo many what ifs, but wait then this doesn't make sense, and that seems uncredibly unlikely. It seems as though whoever abandoned the car in NH was guilty of SOMETHING -- whether it's related to Jessica or not. Did LE put surveillance on the car for any length of time to see if someone came back for it? Or did they snatch it up right away?

So has someone here ran the plate?

Anyone think there maybe more bodies to be found? That's alot of LE out there.

Definitely "waiting and seeing" since we have no choice! Patience is not one of my virtues. LOL

ITA that this abandoned vehicle brings up 10x more questions than it answers!!:waitasec:

The stickers on the car could also be from a previous owner....my son is a mason..........hard to believe one could be involve in something so sinister but as someone upthread said, there are bad people in everything.:banghead:

I just think it's way too coincidental that this car matched the description of the two sightings and has now turned up abandoned.

At first this morning, I was sure that body was Jessica. But now I'm not so sure. Still could be, of course, but that dude would have to do a LOT of driving. If those sightings were really Jessica, did he come BACK to dump the body?

And why Maine? Why NH? If they truly are connected, why such a span of distance between them all?

Color me confused.
ITA. Think about it...there were TWO sightings in Maine, both had the same vehicle description. A light blue mid-90's station wagon with Colorado plates. How many of those are on the road, especially with Colorado plates in Maine (or New Hampshire)?

And now this car, matching the same exact description, is found ABANDONED?

That would be a huge coincidence if not connected to the case.

Perhaps the body found in CO yesterday is NOT Jessica. It's a wait and see situation....but that abandoned car found in NH with CO plates and the sighting yesterday in Maine certainly makes this more mysterious!

It amazes me how many "dead bodies" are turning up lately, esp in my area...

BBM

This is hunting season, which is when many bodies are discovered. I've read about three or four sets of skeletal remains or partial remains discovered by hunters over the past few weeks.

ITA with you on this.

Looking at the Google Maps for the connector road for this Wal-Mart (based on the article posted earlier), the driver used a road that is shrouded in trees, a back parking lot, and a parking lot that had a lot of cover for dumping and running.

Not sure if it's related, or not, but this car didn't show up for no reason at all.

I'm thinking that Wal-Mart should have security cameras at the back of their stores to cover shipping and receiving areaa. I'm hoping so anyway.

I looked up states parks in every state. These are the ones with NR initials:

Nissequogue River State Park (NY)
New River State Park (NC)

But I tried to find bumper stickers for those parks, and I couldn't find similar ones...

I think the NR could be so many things. Cars around where i live all have them for each town. Like New Rochelle, or North Reading, North River etc...
And I don't think there is anything hinky about the mason sticker either. I see that on tons of cars.

I don't see a roof rack, either. If it was just a temporary rack (like you can rent from U-Haul), it could easily be taken off. But you think a witness would have noticed that.

Do we know if the car was really abandoned, or is it just broken down and someone left it there?

It looks to me like a roof rack could've been removed. I see two whiter spots along the roof line where it could've rubbed, or be cushions or something??

If the roof rack was removed, and the car abandoned, these aren't innocent sightseers.

Bet LE's already been to or is now at the home of this car/plate's owner.

Is there a roof rack on this blue car in the pic? I'm not seeing one, but I dont have the pic big enough. I guess you could always take it off, but you would SEE that there used to be a roof rack, right? Like holes or something? (I have no idea, as you can obviously tell!)

I see a rack. It isn't like a giant ski rack, but there is metal lining up top there

But where is the roof rack the witness saw? If she was inaccurate about the roof rack, then I'd question how reliable her sighting is, JMO.

My first thought when they said Dexter is that they were headed to Jackman, Maine to cross over into Canada. But they wouldn't be able to if unable to show parental consent for Jessica but maybe perp didn't know this?

Another sighting was in Harmony, Maine, down the road. It's another couple hours straight up that road to Jackman.

Jackman used to be pretty well known as an easy cross--hardly any security. I'm pretty sure a few of the 9/11 terrorists actually got down to Logan from Canada that way.

So, maybe, want to cross into Canada at Jackman, can't and head back down, ending up in Portsmouth. The Wal-Mart where car was found is pretty easy to find, right off the turnpike. I know they have surveillance cameras there, so I'm sure they are reviewing them.

Just a thought...

Spirit Day . . . just one more thing poor little Jessica is missing out on.

I was just coming on to post this information, and also mention that according to the alert I got earlier (it's a hiking weather alert list for Maine and NH, so when I get non-weather notices, it's extremely unusual) the search is continuing in Maine.

I'm down in MA, so this is second hand, but there's been mention of "cops all over the f**** place" in coastal Maine and NH.

The disabled veteran plate, along with it being an older model station wagon, makes me think it most likely belongs to an older person. If the perp killed an elderly person to get their car, they may not have even been reported missing yet.

I really am starting to wonder if the body that was found wasn't the owner of that car! I cannot remember a case like this before. The press conference about the discovery of the body-with no description of it whatsoever-seemed bizarre to me even before this new information came out. This theory would fit, and it's not too outlandish either.

I'm on the edge of my seat with this one, that's for sure!

I'm reminded of Samuel Littleton. He killed Tiffany Brown. He then went to the home of the Russell's who sold him his house (they were elderly), killed them, threw them in the trunk of their car, stole the car and took off. He went on the run and dumped their bodies in different places while he was on the run. It's a long convoluted story. Here's a link: http://abcnews.go.com/US/samuel-lit...elderly-couples-bodies-cops/story?id=13008374

True! I have even seen those stickers for churches, youth groups, all sorts of stuff!
