Regarding the boxes... no. Optimum Nutrition is largely sold online. It's really not easy to find in stores, I know, I've tried, lol. The brown box looks like it might have a label?

I have no doubt they know who was driving that car, I at this point haven't a clue what's going on as my mind is now going all cheesy crime tv and I therefore clearly need to step back and go back to the basics.

I don't believe in coincidences, but at the same time the likelihood that it's NOT Jessica that was found so close to home is slim. So that just leaves me confused.

Gonna take a break, try and clear my head, work on a local case for a bit that I am actually on the ground for and then return to this.

I think you can also get Optimum Nutrition at 24 Hour Fitness centers?

Maybe the blue car isn't connected to Jessica's case, but I am not convinced that the driver wasn't up to something bad. An alert goes for a car, and then it's found abandoned.

I tend to agree. Lots of cash and drug running up and down this area to and from Canada, could easily be something else criminal.

That's okay! It IS swift today! Just glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks this vehicle being related would not make sense, however coincidental it may seem.

You guys aren't alone, I'm not convinced there is any connection to Jessica, either.

There was a child in the car, so I don't think it was drugs. Unless some dad takes his daughter with him when he does his drug dealing.

Just a hunch but i think the car is not related. LE is just checking everything as they should. My hinky meter is way way up right now :waitasec: If this is Jessica it's somebody local. Somebody close by. Just a gut feeling.

Oh, I had forgotten about the York tolls. Yes, that makes it even odder.

I just realized that when I went to that Walmart, I didn't come down I95, I was coming down the Spaulding Turnpike from Rochester. And it is right off that road. He could have gone west first, over into Maine, and then down Route 16: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...wyQ&oq=West&mra=dpe&mrsp=2&sz=7&via=2&t=m&z=7

Different Wal-mart. The one your thinking about is in Newington. The one the car was found at is on Rt 1 near Water County.

Son said the car was pretty clean on the inside. He said it didn't look like a car that had broken down or was just parked there. There are a couple of hotels/motels within a mile to 3 miles from the spot.

The C&J bus is on Pease which is a few miles away. There really is nothing in this area except a few businesses and some houses.

The car was not there when the night crew came in (that they can remember) so it was left there between 11pm-12am and 6am when the day crew began arriving.

I wonder if the family knows this car? Who took Jessica and how? Was it fast and forced, or did she see a familiar face?

Honestly I wish they could just tell us something. IF there is a random abductor out there unaccounted for, we all have our children to worry about. This makes me wonder if they either know who did it, or somehow know that this person is no longer a threat.

I know, right? It's driving me nuts! Cops ALL over the place around the neighborhood schools here which leads me to believe that there is a predator on the loose.

The three things can't be connected. He would not have taken Jessica to Maine, and then brought her back to CO, and then abandon the car in NH. The sighting in Maine may very well be another child with similar features.
No, you are correct, it makes no sense.
BTW, this thread is moving too fast for me to keep up, sorry... I'm way behind.

I can't keep up either :p

I can think of a couple of ways it could work, but most of them involve either the body in Arvada not being Jessica or there being a tight connection to another crime involving a girl who looks like Jessica being held captive.

It likely is coincidence -- a very improbable one, but still coincidence. I'm glad Maine and New Hampshire are taking that small possibility seriously though.

Im in a county next to JeffCo...
I can tell you that my county and even the other counties near me have tightening up their ships immediately.

It is now up to parents to tighten their reigns. Hopefully parents all over the state and country are sitting their kids down and going over "stranger danger" until they are blue in the face. Let them watch the news about Jessica and let them know that unless mom/dad says its ok...talk to NO ONE and RUN if someone tries to talk to you.....

Parents in my neighborhood are very bothered. Today and yesterday when I was driving around, I didnt see as many walkers and saw a crap load of parents with kids....there was a very noticable difference. It is a beautiful day in Colorado today!! Im used to the sidewalks covered in kids walking to the local school.

I agree, Prima. I'm in Colorado too and I think parents ARE holding their babies closer. I know I am.....

From the photos I've seen, what they have from the Pattridge Open Space is the torso of what appears to be a young girl in a black garbage bag. They're continuing to search other areas because that's all they have so far. It's down to matching birthmarks, scars or DNA to confirm the ID. ABC News has three sources that say it's Jessica, in all likelihood.

that was my opinion of what they had was partial....and looking for more.

:/

What's a photo radar van?

Can you elaborate about the white van? I'm unfamiliar with that case.

The fbi put out a BOLO for a white chevy astro van, including surveillance video of a person driving the van. He was wanted for questioning in Elizabeth and Lyric's case. There was a rash of white van reports (there are a lot of them rolling on the roads!) and it turned out he had nothing to do with their abduction.
We were all so hopeful that it was the big break needed to find the girls, if you are at all interested in Elizabeth and Lyric's case, there is a thread for them, but as this thread is for sweet Jessica, I can only pray for her and her family to find some peace in this horrible time. And of course, I still always seek answers for Elizabeth and Lyric.
