AND schools were locked yesterday. They only do this when there is a reason for alarm. They do it when they suspect school violence in surrounding areas, they do it when there are robberies and suspects are missing...that is what I don't get.

In my part of metro Denver, that'd be for a lockdown, not a lockout. Yesterday, LE said it was because they were searching in the area. Could also be to ease the minds of kids, parents, staff as many are posting about heightened fears in that area.

Can someone catch me up please. A few questions....

Has it been confirmed only a torso was found? or is this rumor?

The abandoned car in Maine. Has it been confirmed its registered to an owner in Colorado?

tia

Hi cubby,

nothing has been confirmed.

it was speculation on the last page.

The car wasn't abandoned in maine... someone called in a blue car in New Hampshire that they thought sounded like the one in the bolo in Maine.

Not sure who it is registered to but it does have Colorado plates.

Where did you hear/read this about a torso? I haven't seen it posted here today, so I'd say it's rumor.

oh: also: the last article says the car in NH is most likely unrelated.

Different Wal-mart. The one your thinking about is in Newington. The one the car was found at is on Rt 1 near Water County.

Son said the car was pretty clean on the inside. He said it didn't look like a car that had broken down or was just parked there. There are a couple of hotels/motels within a mile to 3 miles from the spot.

The C&J bus is on Pease which is a few miles away. There really is nothing in this area except a few businesses and some houses.

The car was not there when the night crew came in (that they can remember) so it was left there between 11pm-12am and 6am when the day crew began arriving.

No, NOT Newington. On Route 1/Lafayette Road, almost into Rye. I don't remember Water Country but there's a restaurant near there we used to go to. We were coming back from the White Mountains and took 16 to Rochester, picked up the Spaulding Turnpike, and went down Route 1 until we cut over to Rye Harbor for dinner. We stopped at Walmart for the taxfree shopping :p

All of which is not really relevant. Sorry.

I'm more interested in your mention of the timing. That means the car showed up at approximately the same time of day that the backpack was dropped off in Colorado. That too is probably a coincidence.

I can't figure out why, if the blue station wagon in NH is unrelated, it would have been abandoned. Sure, it was seen on the news and everywhere else, but wouldn't a completely innocent person come forward and say, "That was me and here's my daughter who just happens to look a lot like Jessica and we are in Maine for a completely legit reason." There are sooo many what ifs, but wait then this doesn't make sense, and that seems uncredibly unlikely. It seems as though whoever abandoned the car in NH was guilty of SOMETHING -- whether it's related to Jessica or not. Did LE put surveillance on the car for any length of time to see if someone came back for it? Or did they snatch it up right away?

I wonder if the person has nothing to do with Jessica but is on the run for something else. Could be a major crime...could be back child support. People run from the cops for all kinds of stupid reasons.

Oh, God. This image just gave me the worst flashback to the search for Zahra Baker.

Total speculation. Not confirmed by LE or even suggested by anyone in the media. A poster here thinks they saw it in the overhead picture from the helicopter.

Bumping from last thread:

www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_...dle-school-teacher-arrested-child-🤬🤬🤬🤬-charge

Is it just me, or does he look an awful lot like the Aravada child enticement UID sketch?

ETA-I checked Jefferson County lockup and he is NOT in their custody. He must be out on bond.

Sure does resemble the sketch!

Thank you so much! And I realize there isn't a thing funny about this case, but for a little levity, this pic was at the link and made me :floorlaugh: !!

Someone posted it a few pages back... Still speculation, I think.

But "open space" is specifically called this and is a set boundary. The field out behind my house isn't open space unless the State of Colorado deems it that. If you map the area on google, you can see lots of green areas named "open space"

This is google earth, it's not marking boundry areas, it's a long range satellite photo zoomed out. We could look up county plots at the tax office for specifics.

There was a child in the car, so I don't think it was drugs. Unless some dad takes his daughter with him when he does his drug dealing.

It has happened.

Thank you nurse. The threads for Jessica's case are moving so fast it's hard to keep up. Thank you for confirming the info regarding the condition of the remains is still speculation.

Also, thank you for the correction on NH versus Maine. I remember reading that, but my brain went back to Maine.

So, the car found abandoned in NH does in fact have Colorado plates?

I guess it is possible someone disposed of (possibly Jessica's) remains and then headed as far as they could get and still felt the heat in New Hampshire so they ditched the car. Hopefully LE can determine the vehicle owner and the vehicle owners whereabouts quickly.

So so so sad. :( I'm praying for Jessica and her family.

35 WOW 35 Agencies and officer personnel searching open areas and neighborhoods.
They are def looking for something and i don't think it's a weapon. Are they still searching for her?? I'm getting sick thinking the reason they can't confirm it's Jessica yet. Surely they would know by now. What is wrong w/ppl!! How can anyone harm another person!!!!

I needed the laugh, thank you.

I did that to someone this morning, why? Because I slow down in school speed zones when children are present. I almost stopped. I did scream back off as loud as I could from the window. I think I scared the guy who turned asap.

the last article I posted said it is unlikely the car is related and they already know who owns it/will not disclose the owners.

HLN stating "a body" has been found with no confirmation it is Jessica.

That's okay! It IS swift today! Just glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks this vehicle being related would not make sense, however coincidental it may seem.

I know, I am literally skimming and missing a lot. I can't see how they could all be related, maybe two of them are. For instance, the sighting in Maine could be another little girl who looks like Jessica, OR the body they found in CO could be of another little girl.

If Jessica had been missing for months or years, then they wouldn't have been able to speculate this soon who it was. But with the short time she's been missing, the body would not be that decomposed yet, they would be able to tell if it's male or female, and whether it's an adult or a child.

I just remember how everybody got all hyped up last year when the remains were found in west Tx and reports said LE thought it might be Hailey Dunn, but turns out they were an adult male.
