No, NOT Newington. On Route 1/Lafayette Road, almost into Rye. I don't remember Water Country but there's a restaurant near there we used to go to. We were coming back from the White Mountains and took 16 to Rochester, picked up the Spaulding Turnpike, and went down Route 1 until we cut over to Rye Harbor for dinner. We stopped at Walmart for the taxfree shopping :p

All of which is not really relevant. Sorry.

I'm more interested in your mention of the timing. That means the car showed up at approximately the same time of day that the backpack was dropped off in Colorado. That too is probably a coincidence.

Rt 1 is very busy during the day but dead at night. They are sure the car wasn't there when they arrived at work (night crew scheduled in at 10, 11 and midnight) none of them saw it when they came to work,

Just before my son left for work we were talking about the case (they lived in that area) and the blue car in Maine. He about had a heart attack when he left work and saw THIS car. The manager thought he was crazy but called the PD anyway.

He did look in through the windows but saw nothing of interest. When he went to get his check he found out that YES this is the car reported in Maine. The rest of the information is rumor so I will wait until it's reported. I can say the owners were/are not with the car at this time.

Does somebody in Jessica's family work at Walmart?

At this point I guess all we do know as fact is a body has been found.

I know, I am literally skimming and missing a lot. I can't see how they could all be related, maybe two of them are. For instance, the sighting in Maine could be another little girl who looks like Jessica, OR the body they found in CO could be of another little girl.

If Jessica had been missing for months or years, then they wouldn't have been able to speculate this soon who it was. But with the short time she's been missing, the body would not be that decomposed yet, they would be able to tell if it's male or female, and whether it's an adult or a child.I just remember how everybody got all hyped up last year when the remains were found in west Tx and reports said LE thought it might be Hailey Dunn, but turns out they were an adult male.

BBM I said the same thing earlier this morning....

Thank you so much! And I realize there isn't a thing funny about this case, but for a little levity, this pic was at the link and made me :floorlaugh: !!

Thanks for the laugh, all of us are on pins and needles more than usual today, I think so it's nice to break the tension a little.

This is google earth, it's not marking boundry areas, it's a long range satellite photo zoomed out. We could look up county plots at the tax office for specifics.

Google maps (the "drawn" one) shows it

Someone posted it a few pages back... Still speculation, I think.
Utter speculation, IMO!
I have looked at as many photos as I could find from the scene last night and I have yet to see any black bags, or partial bodies, or body parts hanging out or any of the other things people have suggested they have seen regarding viewing remains.

LOL, I think EVERYONE has someone in their family who works, or has worked, for Walmart!

Or maybe it's just my family:blushing:

the last article I posted said it is unlikely the car is related and they already know who owns it/will not disclose the owners.

And that there is a 1% chance and they're still investigating. There was one snippet from an article that said a tip had come in from CO saying a car matching this description may have been involved in Jessica's abduction. Don't know if that was sloppy reporting, or???

Thank you nurse. The threads for Jessica's case are moving so fast it's hard to keep up. Thank you for confirming the info regarding the condition of the remains is still speculation.

Also, thank you for the correction on NH versus Maine. I remember reading that, but my brain went back to Maine.

So, the car found abandoned in NH does in fact have Colorado plates?

I guess it is possible someone disposed of (possibly Jessica's) remains and then headed as far as they could get and still felt the heat in New Hampshire so they ditched the car. Hopefully LE can determine the vehicle owner and the vehicle owners whereabouts quickly.

Here you go, Cubby. There's a picture and some details. http://www.seacoastonline.com/articles/20121011-NEWS-121019952

The likelihood that it's related is very slim, but LE on both ends is taking it seriously.

I'll tell you what, they have a great police dept, I don't think I've heard of one working so hard in a missing child's case. Fairfax could learn a great lesson in watching these people in Westminster, like in the Bryan Glenn case they just did a terrible job.

RE: The "torso" speculation... this IS a child in the case we are discussing, so the size doesn't necessarily say that to me.

Last night before they put the cloth over it, I thought too that it didn't look whole

That picture does not show a 4ft. 10in. body, IMHO.

I only looked at one photo that was talked about very early this morning, and I couldn't see what others were talking about, either. Even when I knew what it was they were "seeing", I still couldn't see it.

FWIW, I don't think any photos would be published in MSM showing the body of what might be a young girl. JMO

That's what I said! There were three threads about the remains before it was determined not to be her.

Well, yes, that's true, but I seem to remember hearing that either the mother or grandmother worked at Walmart. I know the mother worked night shift.

The backpack showed up in the middle of the night. The blue car was abandoned in the middle of the night. Night shift? Or just the time of day to abandon things you don't want to be connected with?

And the blue car was abandoned in a Walmart parking lot. Probably coincidence, despite the Colorado plates and the timing.

But it's starting to be a lot of coincidences.
