Okay, so along those lines... does anyone know if the person who mentioned a green truck at Pattridge Park near where Jessica was found, mentioned anything in particular about that truck? Whether it was older or newer, etc? My googling isn't turning up anything specific about the truck... :(

I found an RSO with prior sexual assault of child who owns a green truck. He also lives only about 2 miles from where Jessica was found...

Oh, and pic attached is a different RSO whose face, to me, seems to be a perfect match with the "candyman" lurer.

IIRC, there were no details about the green truck. But the poster did say there had also been a car (e.g, a typical sedan) that had lingered there for a while one day (not necessarily the same day as the green truck). Of course, this was posted before the culvert was mentioned.

What I thought was most significant was that this poster could apparently see the activity down on the road from his/her home in the hills, even though others have said the site is not visible from any houses.

Question: how would one access the neighborhood of this RSO (who owns the green truck) from Westminster?

TIA. MOO.

I believe it was described as a green pickup truck.

Jessica's body was found by workers picking up trash along the highway. I suspect they were using the green garbage truck parked just west of where the body was found. It was still there at sunrise this morning.

What is that blue thing? A porta-potty? TIA for letting me know :)

Do you know if that outhouse is normally there, or was that brought in for the search crews?

The porta potty isn't normally there. I don't know if it was brought in by the search crews or by the workers doing cleanup.

Hi, HLN said the head and hands are still missing. That sounds gross but if it were my child I would pray they'd keep searching. This is so sad. :please:

I had a feeling it was going to be hands and head...body parts that would probably contain the most DNA from the perp.

If he put the body in the pipe, I think he must be a local to have been aware the pipe even existed. He has probably walked there before on foot, whether it was picking up cans, enjoying nature or whatever.

Guys do stupid things all of the time when they think with their prick. The perp is the pedophile/murderer/nutjob version of it.

I hope he does have half a brain and I hope that leads to his arrest very soon!!! Local or not!!

And that explains exactly why it took time to identify her. This is one scary predator busy playing with LE and the entire community. Nobody's life will be the same for a long time, if ever. Please catch him soon.

Good grief, I hate HLN...
They would say that...

I heard it reported in a live newscast on Wednesday night that the port-a-potty was specifically brought in for use by the recovery people.

The RSO in Denver we looked at last night, owns a carpet sales and installation company. The reporter gave a location of 4th & Santa Fe, his address was the closest match. I have no idea if this is the right guy, but I have to believe they are looking at him for a reason. Maybe he had some jobs in the area when Jessica disappeared.

He did not show up on vinelink last night, I'll go check this morning.

The reporter said NEAR W. 4th and Santa Fe.
I looked at his store (on Santa Fe) last night on a Google map and I watched the video on KDVR and the locations did not match. The store looks like it has living space as his home and business address are the same. The reporter said no one was arrested from the home he was reporting from last night.

It's just to highlight that the killer is taunting police. To me anyway.

Here's my :twocents:

I don't think the days things were FOUND should necessarily be considered significant, as the perp could not know with any certainty WHEN the items would be discovered. If we knew when things were LEFT it would be more likely to lead to a suspect, or tell us about his timetable.

Bear in mind that the remains found were "incomplete." The condition of the remains (in terms of decomposition) has not yet been revealed, so it is possible they were put where they were found at the same time the backpack was placed, or even sooner.

Though it is likely the remainder (presumably the parts most likely to yield identification, as what was found was inconclusive until DNA could confirm identity) may have been hidden better, destroyed more completely, or buried/burned, and will never be located, there may still be another cache of evidence that has not yet been found. Whether or not the items have already been placed somewhere, but not discovered remains to be seen.

BBM. i still think this was done by a younger male..perhaps one that just has access to his parnts vehicle for a short time, one that lives with parents still..

What makes you think this is a younger male? Just wondering as I have no idea why this would be a younger or older person.

Of course people's perceptions are different. I didn't mean to say everybody should have noticed, only that people who grew up or live in this kind of terrain are more likely to be aware of drainage.

The mountains of Appalachia are different than the open spaces of the west. In the eastern mountains, the roads tend to run beside the water, because that's where the paths through the mountains are. That will be true in the western mountains, too.

But out in the foothills and prairies, the roads often cut across country and across streams and drainages. Most of the ravines like the one where they found Jessica only have running water right after thunderstorms or in the spring when the snow is melting; when the road crosses it, there will be a culvert or perhaps a bridge so the water doesn't run across the road.

Because the roads are wide open and relatively straight, with very few trees, you can see the ridges and ravines from quite a distance ahead. Far enough ahead that if you're looking for one, you have time to slow down and make sure nobody's around without attracting attention. If somebody's near, you just move on to the next one.

Excellent description carbuff! I've lived in both areas very accurate.

Couple of thoughts I had while reading this thread this morning.

After having lived in the foothills, prairies and the high desert it is very possible that both theories of what happened to the remains is possible.

1. that her body was made not intact by the murderer in order to delay ID.

2. that after he left the remains there in that area scavangers had access.

So both could have happened. JMHO.

Off topic: Never underestimate a coyote. When we lived in the desert we had a lot of neighbors that unwittingly would let their small dogs and cats out at night never to be seen again. Coyotes are something else!

I tend to think this is more than likely the case. I know it's horrible- but the way LE is acting I believe they know they are dealing with a VERY sick individual.

The LE. said (in so many words) the dismemberment looked like it was done by someone who knew what he/she was doing. I would check out butchers at stores. They also said it would take someone time to do this. They are checking cars and houses. They said this is the work of a sick person. He/She was trying to rid the body of prints etc., must not be up on DNA..or thought it would take a very long time. :seeya:

Since they are being specific about what is missing, and the head and hands would certainly make it easier to identify body. I think that rules out animals. jmo

They've finally released a sketch of the Cody, WY abductor. Posting it here in case there's a possible connection.
