Since they are being specific about what is missing, and the head and hands would certainly make it easier to identify body. I think that rules out animals. jmo

We don't know that. HLN said that.

I realize this is possibly something you heard on HLN TV, but, I have not found any of the HLN programs reporting on this particular case thus far to be very accurate. JMO.

Which program did you hear it on?

HLN and accurate in same sentence=lol

IIRC, there were no details about the green truck. But the poster did say there had also been a car (e.g, a typical sedan) that had lingered there for a while one day (not necessarily the same day as the green truck). Of course, this was posted before the culvert was mentioned.

What I thought was most significant was that this poster could apparently see the activity down on the road from his/her home in the hills, even though others have said the site is not visible from any houses.

Question: how would one access the neighborhood of this RSO (who owns the green truck) from Westminster?

TIA. MOO.

I made a google map that I'm attaching. I labeled it with point A is Jessica's home, point B is Chelsea Park, point C is Pattridge Park where Jessica was found, point D is the very general area where Jessica's backpack was left and point E is the RSO w/green truck's house.

I don't know why google gave driving directions that made a big circle between points C and D when obviously, someone could use the same road going both to and from and not have to make a circle.

The man who molested my daughter had a parole hearing in July. Thanks to CAPER/Websleuths, his parole was denied, but in the process, he was asked what his plans were if he was to be released. He stated his intention to go back to selling/installing carpet. I thought he was being unrealistic, since going to people's homes to measure rooms or lay carpet might put him in proximity to children (he will have to register upon release). I assumed that this sort of employment would be out of the question for him, perhaps in part because the flooring company he worked for when he was convicted fired him the same day he was found guilty. Now I have to rethink this. If the above-referenced RSO can sell/install carpet, maybe DSB can do so as well. UGH!

I have lived on a number of military bases thruout the country. On one base, there was actually a registered sex offender who lived there. I never understood the reasoning behind allowing that, as the bases I was on were super secure....in fact so secure, we never ever could get pizza delivered to my house on base :/

Another base I lived on - in California - they would allow inmates from the local prison to come on base and they performed all the landscaping work for the base. THAT bothered me a lot. Grant it, they probably were not "violent offenders" or "sex offenders" (but I dont know), but the fact they performed landscapping around the TLF (temp living facilities) that housed children and the playground.....well, it just shocked me.

Im all about rehabilitation and all of that....but that situation really bothered me.

Another story is that I have an ex from when I was very young 17-21 (I am much much older now)...he is a 3 time violent offender. His first offense was when we were "kids" and I was in a relationship with him. He assault on a guy put him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. His other offenses that happened while he was an adult (and I no longer with him) were not much better. My point of that story is that he now owns his own HVAC business and is in people's homes daily. Oh, I didn't mention: he was diagnosed by the courts as being bi-polar and schizophrenic. If he doesn't take his meds....he is a very very VERY dangerous person.

How'd ya like to have him working in your home??? o.0

I am fairly certain that Jessica's body was found in the open and not in the culvert.

In the last couple threads, there have been pictures posted that were shot from a news site helicopter over the crime scene that showed (grainy) shots of her remains being placed on a stretcher.

That stretcher was clearly located next to or near the fallen tree, well away from the culvert.

Just referring to this: http://photos.denverpost.com/2012/10...a-ridgeway/#13 and numerous other posts.

Although they aren't the most accurate, this info certainly fits with what many of us were thinking, so I wouldn't outright discount it.

Interesting!

@WestminsterPD The person at the salon was telling details of contents in back pack and so on! The person in the PD should not have talked!

@<snipped> I would like to follow up on this post. Please call Inv. Trevor Materasso 303-658-4427 or [email protected]

I agree OCB (hello by the way!)

I thought about it and I do still think it's possible that parts of the remains were removed in an attempt to delay ID. But, I also think it's possible that the remains that were left out in the open to the elements may have experienced scavangers that would have further made ID difficult. They used DNA to ID her remains pretty quickly though. Which is the reason I'm thinking this guy isn't too educated. Heck, there are so many forensic shows on TV in the past decade I would wager to say that a good portion of the population knows at least some rudimentary forensic techniques that have come to be used since then.

Hello Kat...nice to 'see' you.

We may be looking for an older man. One who doesnt watch many of the CSI type shows. He may not be educated but I do feel he is employed. Maybe with the same company for years. I think when caught he will probably be an organized employee.

I think possibly only the torso was left there. I dont think he left the head and hands there. That would defeat his purpose if he was trying to hide Jessica's ID. Unless God forbid that wasnt his motive for dismemberment and it was something far more sadistic and sinister.

In fact we saw them extensively search the area and even broaden out to bodies of water. But at the PC yesterday they said they are no longer looking for Jessica but looking for the killer to bring him to justice. It makes me wonder if during their search after the first discovery of her remains......they have now found all of her. I pray they have.

IMO

Thank you for this information. I have considered the Baby Glock .26. I too have small hands as well as not much strengthin my wrist. I will check these out. Thanks again.

Make sure you go try it at a gun range! Lots of females don't like glocks due to their thick girth at the grip. It can cause you not to be able to hold it properly depending on your hand size and therefore not able to shoot it as accurately. Also they have a very light trigger pull which can make it easier to fire accidentally which can be another draw back. But lots of people love them too! Just a personal opinion best found out with experience with one. Would not want you to buy one and then discover you dislike it.

Are you looking for home protection or personal protection/concealed carry? Because concealed carry you can get smaller guns for the concealed aspect but sometimes have less power and also more kick which can make it less fun to practice shooting. But home protection and no worrying about concealing you can have a bigger gun, more knock down power, less kick and more fun to practice shooting. You can always PM for more details. I'm a female with knowledge of guns and just did research on my own concealed carry guns, both semi-auto and revolvers. And already have a home protection gun. Let me tell ya, WS is a like a huge advocate for the 2nd amendment, lol.

While none of us wanted to believe Jessica was dismembered I have always felt she was and by the monster who kidnapped her.

And I think the police wanted the community to know it too. At the PC they didnt have to mention that she was not in tact. They easily could have just said 'due to the condition of the body it will take a little longer to get an ID' They want the community to know just how sadistic and dangerous this person is and what he has done to Jessica. They know the more empassioned the citizens are and outraged the more tips they will receive.

If it had been due to animal activity which would be very evident the LE sources would have told the reporters that then.

I think he may have dismembered her because he lives in the close proximity of other homes/apartments where it would be difficult to get a child's body out of the home without being noticed. He used the black garbage bag found at the scene to transport Jessica's remains imo.

Imo, he is local and may be someone who is employed with a company that gave Columbus Day off this past Monday. Such as a city or government worker/postman/garbage collector/water/light and gas divisions/ etc. He would have Friday through Monday to get rid of the evidence. He may live alone or may still live with his mother or he may or may not be married. He may have a workshop of some kind behind his home or a shed. He has been to the crime scene before where Jessica was found maybe flying model airplanes or riding ATVs or maybe on his route when working.

These are just my speculations of course.

What is uncanny to me is in the cases of late where children were kidnapped it is always on a Friday.

IMO

oceanblueeyes, you make some good points and interesting observations..

At the WPD presser yesterday when the identity of the body was confirmed, there were 4 spokespersons. A prosecutor, PIO of WPD, PIO of the FBI, and WPD Police Chief. At the conclusion reporters asked some very good questions. Some were answered generically and some received the, 'I'm sorry we can't release that info due to the integrity of the investigation, response'..
It was revealed that the FBI BAU/CARD team etc. was assisting along with 34 other agencies; local, state, & federal.

A reporter asked if the Jessica Ridgeway investigation included VICAP, and if this unknown suspect was possibly linked to other cases using the VICAP database. http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/vicap

Investigators have possibly linked this to other cases, imo, through FBI VICAP, imo, and or the abductor is communicating with them, either directly or indirectly(clues). Imo, the predator is sending a message..

If so, I sure wish I knew what the message was. Seems his obvious motive is to terrorize the community(control), imo, & is taunting LE; ie; 'I am much smarter than you'(narcissism).
If this is the case, this sadistic psychopathic predator may send this or another unsuspecting community a synonymous tragic message.

Praying that they apprehend him before he repeats...

The article described the truck that was seen at the dump site as a green pick up truck iirc. Where has info about an RSO with a green truck come from and can you point me to it? Tia!

Have you ever seen a still shot as taken from a surveillance video/cam? Like the type when someone was in line in a store check-out?

The more I magnify, the grainier it gets. So I can't distinguish the actual surroundings to be certain where he is. But the man is front and center!
Why show a still shot of a man on that monitor? Only one reason I can think of.
JMO. I'd love for someone with better equipment to weigh in.

Can you post the command post picture you have? I can only find one on google images and it is small.

If this is true then it's not due to animals. I grew up in a very rural area. I know animals. I've already stated I don't believe this is due to animals due to LE response, the media, and due to other missing persons cases similar in nature. I am familiar with wild animals due to living on a farm and having dealt with them and our farm animals. They would not remove body parts and cause them to disappear. Animals go for certain areas and these missing parts are not those areas. It would be obvious it was due to animals and I strongly believe LE would have not said animals got to the body (no mention of dismemberment - it would not have been mentioned to the media for respect) or they would have released it was due to animals. There would be no additional fear on the community for no reason.

Looking for home protection from 2 legged and 4 legged and those that slither on the ground. I just moved to the woods from a large city and am not real comfortable yet. Any info you can provide is appreciated. I also have three dogs one being a very large leopard catahoula and they all bark. I still would like a little more feeling of being protected. tia

The view east from where Jessica's body was found.

Thank you for the photos. This definitely makes it more understandable how this person could have placed a body without being sense. It is pretty remote appearing from these pics.

I have been obsessively reading/checking the Colorado sex offender registry for RSOs who live in the immediate area of either Jessica's home, the backpack site or the dump site. I first checked their convictions, if available, to find ones that had priors for attacking children and focused only on those.

I found one in particular who lives w/in 2 miles of the dump site, who I noticed has a green pickup registered to him. That triggered my memory about the news report where a neighbor(?) or someone who lived near the dump site remembered seeing a green truck parked there the day before and mentioned that for some reason, it was unusual to him.

Found the news report re: the green truck:

They've finally released a sketch of the Cody, WY abductor. Posting it here in case there's a possible connection.

0FD6B181F0A08E70590A317F18BE3272_292_292.jpg

Social media was responsible for finding "Jane Doe" who was wanted for unspeakable acts with children, her own I might add...and I'm sure with a few million fb and twitter posts of this sketch, this 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 will be found as well. I love social media!
