Did we ever figure out who is in charge of/running the Find Joe Keller FB page?

RTR is very much a place I would visit.... Well, not now. There's no protection there, if something were to go wrong. They'd hide a situation versus solving it. No thank you.

"2 Bradley Detectives Return From Colorado; Cleveland 's Joe Keller Still Missing."

Short article. They searched around Rainbow Trout Ranch and the area east of that location, No new evidence.

"Assisted by Colorado State Police and K-9 teams, the Bradley County officers searched the area of the Rainbow Trout Lodge and the vicinity to the east of that location."

It may not be of any significance, but this is the first time I am noticing a particular area in relation to the "Lodge" (by the way, I'm not entirely sure whether the author of the article meant the actual lodge structure, or the ranch grounds ...) being mentioned ....

I just cannot even imagine what Joe's family must be going through. Both my kids are staying with their grandparents this week; it has been only three days, and I already miss them very much. I think of Joe's mom daily. I wish very much there was more I could do to help.

You have been very through in your posts Treelights and links.

The ranch is only opened for 5 more weeks. The fall prices are cut and the required length of stay is shortened. The family is getting very vocal. Dateline is interested in interviewing the family. Hopefully, this will get national attention.
Thank you for the links, it makes it easier.

Im hoping once leaves fall and the hunters are out that his remains will be found.

Wondering if the Conejos Sheriff is waiting 2 weeks for the press conference because the Ranchs season will slowing down. As someone who works for a river outpost, i know our season is winding down.

The poster has new numbers and the reward is now 50,000 dollars. Please share on social media.

Yep, in two weeks all of the tourists will have headed back home from their family vacations and the kids will be back in school.

ETA- It would also be very interesting to know if the guests vacationing at the ranch during this time were even told that a young man was missing in the area?

I think one thing that really stands out to me in this case is that very early on I was reading posts by two of Joe's friends on one of their FB pages.

One asked why the family hadn't spoken out publicly or were making an effort to try to contact national media (GMA, Today Show, ect). Someone seemingly very close to the family replied that the CO sheriff advised the family not to speak publicly as the "sheriff didn't want the publicity".

Here, Joe's brother says the boys arrived at the ranch that day at 8:00am and they planned to stay for 4 or 5 days. The boys went "trap shooting" just before their run. Joe's friend waved to a man fishing (40' feet from the road), while on his run. The fisherman said that he never saw Joe run by.

Why does that wave sound so eerie to me?

Just so you all know, I don't know how long this has been on Rainbow Trout Ranch facebook page, but if you scroll down to
"PEOPLE ALSO LIKE", the Find Joe Keller Community is listed first then 2 other facebooks not about Joe.

Joe is not mentioned per say on Rainbow Trout Ranch's facebook, except the link to his missing facebook.
Now, if people aren't curious, they might not click on it, and they might not have any idea that Joe went missing from the area.

At least it is a Start, for Joe to be mentioned somehow, in some small way, that connects him to Rainbow Trout Ranch.

Wow! I just read their (Rainbow Trout Ranch) first post from 17 hours ago, and they hadn't posted since June 28th.

Mentioning a wonderful summer and life is grand???

Are you serious????

Joe Keller is missing.

Joe Keller is related to the Aunt that runs Rainbow Trout Ranch.

Aren't they worried about Joe??

DO THEY KNOW JOE IS MISSING????

I am just Shocked!

I am glad they had a great summer. (Insert Sarcasm here...)

OBVIOUSLY Joe, his family and friends have not.

Don't they give 2 sheets??

In My Opinion Only.

ITA Treelights. . I really think that RTR tried to keep this under wraps as much as possible from their guests. And they seemed to do a pretty good job of it. I was reading a few recent reviews of RTR on Trip Advisor from guests who stayed there in late July. They were all glowing reviews of RTR with no mention of a person missing there.

Could this be why the sheriff asked Joe's family not to speak out to the national media?
"Didn't want the publicity". :(

Right, not wanting publicity, perhaps.

The thing is, what got me the most was that Life is Grand.

Why say that? Is life grand when a relative goes missing?

Since they make their living at the ranch, I figured it would hurt revenue if people knew that Joe was staying there and went missing from around there. From a business standpoint, not speaking about Joe, as if he didn't exist, then business would go on as usual, perhaps, and revenue isn't lost, perhaps.

The thing is Emotionally, saying life is grand and it's been a wonderful summer.
Ok, maybe summer was wonderful work-wise business wise, that has nothing to do with Joe being missing,
but the Life Is Grand remark. How can that be? That seems VERY COLD, in my opinion.
Discount Joe, as if he never existed. How can life be grand when your relative is missing?
(And it's not like Joe went missing in Cleveland, Tn. Joe went missing when he went for a run/jog at or near the Rainbow Trout Ranch. Regardless, he arrived at that ranch that morning. He is Missing.)
Compartmentalizing, much??

Question:

Were Joe and C supposed to be running in the same direction?

Or was Joe supposed to eventually run by the river where the fisherman was?

It was my understanding from the very beginning that C and Joe were to split up in different directions and then meet up at a location later.

According to Joe's brother post, he said at 5:00pm both boys took off running together on the road in the same direction. At some point, Joe's friend turned off on a driveway (that lead up to the lodge) to look for a hiking trail for later.

Joe's friend came back down the drive and continued running down the same road in the same direction that he had originally been running on with Joe.

The friend ran for 3 miles down that road and at the 2.5 mile mark is where he saw the fisherman (40' feet off the road) and waved to him.

There are several other versions of the run out there, and im not sure anyone has actually confirmed that that is Joe's brother. Differing details from media, from the police, and from the Find Joe Keller facebook.

And he didn't find it odd that Joe was nowhere to be found? If I was jogging with my friend and I went to look for a trail and then I come back down and can't find my friend anywhere, I'm not going to continue on with my jog as if nothing happened.

I would look max 30 minutes (maybe even less) and then if I could not find him I would be dialing 911. I sure as hell would not wait until midnight to call LE if my friend had been missing since 4:30 that afternoon.

CF is obsessed with football. Nothing about Joe being missing.

  • #399
CF brother plays for Tn Vols, not a post about Vols. I find that odd. We bleed Orange and sing Rocky Top during football season.

The Fetzners own horses that was always in the fields grazing. They have been locked in the stalls every since this happened.

The way his two friends are acting about this is just very very odd to me. jmo
