I'm really glad that you wrote this. In my experiences since I've been here, I've come to learn that most of the time there's a calculated method to the madness of LE, so to speak. In other words, they often know much more than we do. I certainly hope that that's the case for our missing young lady here.

BBM. That's so true. One of the cases where I certainly hope that is true is the disappearance of Holly Grim. I don't think there was a delay in notifying the public, but since then LE seems to be going out of its way to say nuthin' about nuthin'. Won't say anything at all to her mother. Told her friends NOT to search for her. I keep telling myself that LE has its reasons, but it sure is odd.

With it being nice weather today, hopefully people will be outside and maybe we will hear something. There sure doesn't seem to be any urgency locally?

Woman still missing from Security-Widefield area -

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. --
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek information on the disappearance of a woman from the Security-Widefield area last month. Julia Netzler, 52, first went missing back on April 1. She was last seen by her husband at home at about 5 a.m., when she got out of bed. Her husband got out of bed an hour later to find her nowhere in sight.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, nothing was found that indicated her disappearance involved foul play. The Sheriff’s Office indicated it was odd she left her purse behind. The purse contained items like her wallet and cell phone. Julia also didn’t take her medication or any clothing.

Sigh. I was really hoping a new post today meant she'd been found.

I hate to automatically jump to the conclusion that the husband is somehow responsible for her disappearance, but the longer she's gone, the harder it is to avoid. I suppose the big problem is that we have so little information. He was the last one to see her that we know of so . . . .

Hope she's found soon and hope she's found safe.

Missing woman's family continues search

The family of a missing Colorado woman hopes she'll be home for Mother's Day.

Julia Netzler, 52, went missing from her Security home on April 1. Her husband says she got out of bed at 5 a.m. He went to check on her an hour later and she was gone.

Her son, Daniel, told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that she left a note behind.

"It said she didn't want to be found, don't look for her," he said. "It said she wasn't going to hurt herself."

Julia took 2 Bibles with her.
I hope she is ok. It's been way over a month now. Where could she be??

Whoa! From what I can tell, is it a recent development that Julia left a note indicating she was leaving and didn't want to be found? Funny, she left everything behind including car, medication, purse, cell phone, and we are supposed to believe she left voluntarily. Yeah, right. Without much information released and then two weeks after she disappeared, I find this to be at the top of my hinky meter. I will be very surprised if she left on her own volition and is safe and sound. IMHO.

Actually I have read of many such cases. Adult runaways have often left everything behind like that, including the car. If LE determines the note to be authentic then I would say it is very possible that she is an adult runaway. Sure I can't rule out foul play but this fits with many past cases I have read about so it is very possible she ran away.

The fact that she took her bibles and nothing else could make an argument that she has gone to minister to people somewhere, perhaps among the homeless, something like that.

On the one hand, I hope LE has authenticated that note. On the other hand, if they have, it could mean that they have or will put her case on the back burner. There are just too many possibilities here and it is very worrisome that she has a history of depression and has not been taking her medication.

For her family's sake, I hope LE will continue to search for her and that she is found soon.
