this has been so stressful for so many of us...can't put myself in the place of her family and friends, it must be beyond belief...

Someone knows something! Come on, this is serious...even if someone picked her up and dropped her off safely, LE needs to know specifics!

I am counting on LE knowing more than we do...

I don't know what the circumstances were that sent her to foster care (possibly more than once, depending on what you read). But, I could see her using her home situation, exaggerating it and convincing people to "protect" her and allow her to stay with them. She may be jumping from house to house, they may be just of age with their own apts and thinking they are doing her a favor because of stories she has told them. They may also now realize they are between a rock and a hard place and going to get in a whole lot of trouble for concealing her.
Just one of many possibilities.

I wish we knew if a fight between K and her mom is rumor or fact and if fact, when it happened...that could make a big difference in what her frame of mind may have been...I hate rumors without any way to check them for truth

It's sad that simply because you like to wear black a person is labeled as "Goth", Goth is far more than a wardrobe style.
I know plenty a girl who likes to wear black but are the sweetest most outgoing girls you'll ever meet.
Maybe she likes to wear black because she feels it's slimming? Maybe she's a slob and knows black doesn't show spills?
These assumptions are just killing our society. Labels are not good!

I agree! That's why in my post I wondered if her mom was worried about her being labeled. I'd hate to think people chalked this up to a runaway situation simply because of the clothes she's wearing.

i know she probably doesn't want any older or "goth" looking photos out there, but if that really does not look like her, it does not help...many of the girls pages i have seen in Greeley have the really black hair...that must be a trend?
I can't see her being grabbed the way a child would be...i still think she may have taken a ride and then it went bad from there...either with someone known or unknown...but to me, more likely known...

No matter what the recent photos look like, they should be out there ~ otherwise no one is going to recognize who they're looking for. I'm also thinking by her general appearance, and I don't intend to be disparaging, but at first glance to some people she could give the impression she is a boy, depending on the clothing and if her hair is stuffed under a baseball cap, for example. MOO

there was a missing teen case on here recently. I don't remember the girls name. She ran away and was staying with the BF and his mother. When LE searched the house she hid in a wall. I believe both the mother and BF were arrested.
I wish this would be what happened to Kayleah. BUT this one gives me the thoughts of abduction and murder. I truly hope I'm wrong.

Goth or not, favoring black or girly pastel colors, the fact remains she is only 12 y/o and is completely unable to survive on her own in this dangerous world. Whether she may have run away or not, I do hope she is safe!

Exactly. It's almost like maybe somebody should photoshop the headshot of her in the green top, adding darker hair and makeup just to get an idea of what she could look like now. MOO

Cripe, we need a happy ending after the string of kids lately that have been discovered in shallow graves. I can't hear of another kid being found dead.....

There is one picture (from Christmastime I think) that shows her with longer, black hair and a hat on, and dark jeans. It's was posted on page three or four of this thread. But, if you look at it, it looks very different from the smiling school-type pic that is being circulated as the missing persons photo.
