It seems like everyday we know less and less. We are told one thing and the next day told something different.

gawd, I spent days chasing down psychic leads when Tori Stafford went missing.

She was found nowhere near the areas I searched. I did however hang plenty of posters on my searches, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

Someone on FB mentioned it being oilfield land. Can't see anyone commuting from Greeley there, but I am not from around there. Thoughts?
No way! People who work over there stay much closer.

There are alot of oilfields in the area, as far as commuting ... sure it can happen. Alot of times the workers will work two weeks on and two weeks off. They usally stay in little trailers provided for them there at the work place or housing provided elsewhere close by....

We see alot of oilfield workers here they usally travel where the company goes...
A boyfriend I had worked the rigs and he would travel clear over to UT for 2 weeks and then travel back to CO for 2 weeks

Is that area traveled often? Those dirt roads used often by dirt bikers, oil workers, etc? I guess I'm asking how remote is it, is it likely someone could have had her out there for days and not noticed? Could there be a trailer out there she's being kept in? Mind you, still not sure I'm buying this, but I do not like to not look at all options.

how about a motorhome?

Re the psychic Claire. I have emailed a friend who lives in Polynesia who seems to know everyone. I'll see what she has to say and report back. I don't know how long it will take for her to check her email, but hopefully not too manay days from now.

SARX that so reminds me of East Texas.....when you said the word 'trailers' That hit a nerve! Any remote part of any State-you have your fringe people and your drug freaks....I am glad they have reported 'persons of interest'.......

I'm not sure why she thinks they haven't, except that many people think LE is going to call them back and report to them what they did with their tip. They can't do that, of course.

But LE said they are checking every tip. I don't see a reason to doubt them.

I don't understand why some people think LE is going to call back about every tip, but I was actually pretty surprised. I emailed info about that "oddness" video and the reference to "rape". The next day I had a return email that they did have the info and appreciated the tip. Kudos to GPD!

There will be alot of roads that are off shoots from the main road ( Douglas Pass, CO 139). People ride 4 wheelers, bikes, horses, take there 4x4 trucks up there. Alot of the land is public but some is private with homes here and there ... I know it looks remote but people like that.

After I put the kids down I am going to try and find properties around the area through property records searches.

As far as being out there for days without being noticed ...Yes, imo

We have a remote cabin in the mountains like this, you can't find it unless you know where to look. We hike in the last 2 miles to get there ...

Let me reititerate: for those of you suggesting mobile homes and/or 'trailers', I say yes. Search on.

According to the FB page, FBI have the info and are familiar with the person that posted the comments.

Yeah, I think multiple people (including Claire) have emailed/called about it. It would surprise me to hear that they had actually sent a group out there though, they just don't have that kind of manpower, and TMK there is nothing else pointing them out there 300 plus miles away.

I am surprised that they actually emailed you back Yellowsub, though if you ask me, they would save themselves time by sending a generic, thanks got it email off. Otherwise you have those people that keep sending it in because they figure if they haven't heard back the FBI must not have gotten it. Hey, isn't that what interns are for?!

LE searched one thousand homes in the vicinity of where she lives-now we know they have persons of interest....I am surmising the persons of interest are relatives of the party people and/or those people living in those thousand homes........WE WILL FIND THIS GIRL.

I don't think the actually searched 1,000 homes. Knocked on doors and asked "have you seen", I'm betting.

As soon as I read this, my heart sank. My bro-in-law used to work on an oil rig and quit about a year ago. There was a guy on his crew he used to always talk about being creepy. Once when my sis & I went to see him when he was working close, he said he had to work late cuz that weird guy got arrested for sexual contact with a young girl. Not saying it's the guy, but

His company did travel a lot. If he was within an hour of home, it was considered close. They would get motel rooms if nearby, trailers if not.

Who owns the land out there?

This just happen to be strange:

===================================
Douglas Pass (elevation 8268 feet) is a mountain pass in Colorado traversed by State Highway 139. It is not an especially high summit, and the road, though reasonably steep on the south side (7%), has no tight spots and only a few switchbacks.
The mountain is made up mostly of shale rock, which can easily slide onto the road surface throughout the year. The road is two-lane and receives much truck traffic due to gas and oil development in the general area. Further, the Colorado Department of Transportation does not maintain the road at night, which can increase road hazards, especially in the winter.
On 2 October 2004, a rancher called Russel Jay Yount, who was driving cattle at the time, found a skull near the summit of Douglas Pass. Forensic Odontologist Dr. John Bull, of Grand Junction, Colorado, later confirmed the skull to be that of murder victim Sabrina Bebb-Jones, murdered in September 1997, through dental records.

Sabrina's husband was arrested in Nov. of 2009 for her murder.
Edit to add, he is still in England and fighting extradition.
