But it is one thing if the person is chronically angry, and totally different if it happened once. Not in any way condoning it - people can snap. I was never ever physically abusive to my kids, I have hard

But the opposite might be true as well. The pressure to marry might be higher if a woman really wants to have a child. KB already has a child! And people are different, but would a woman who got out of a hay farm want to go back to a farm and spend a life there? And PF seems good-looking enough, and tall, but in aviation, there are lots of good-looking men, sharing her passion. Between them two, I think she could compare, and be the first to get disappointed in what he was offering. Keep in mind, financially she was independent from him.

I don't think she had an affair, maybe she wanted to grow professionally, and maybe I am thinking of a farm life as uninteresting because I am a big city girl. (Even a suburb is dull to me, schools are good here, though).

So perhaps you are right and I am wrong, but looking at her, pretty, young, a pilot, I think, gal, you have chances to grow in your profession, the sky, don't tie yourself up to the farm. Farm is soil.
There is anecdotal evidence that he has a temper and lashes out when things don't go his way.
He only lived 15 miles from where her house is, and what he lives on cannot really be called a farm. It seems to me that it is a house on a bit of land on the outskirts of a small town.

I've never posted a picture, so we'll see if this works. This is actually the first place that popped into my head thinking about a good place to dispose of a phone. The Malad Gorge runs right under the freeway. It's 10 miles from Gooding as the crow flys. The rust colored bridge is for pedestrians. The freeway with the truck is in the background. You drive a few minutes to get down to a park to access the pedestrian bridge. But you wouldn't have to, just throw the phone out the window as you pass over the Gorge.

Great!
Maybe her purse is there, too?

Are pressers this late at night normal?

P. S. Agree about him being a mess, btw.
That response was about Drew Peterson. The first part of the post. Somehow I multiple quoted posts into one. Sorry!

Here is what the info from WPU reported:
Things he has confirmed from KB neighbor that shared a driveway with her:
1. PF and KB were not openly romantic with each other. He would normally pick up child and leave.
2. Neighbor never saw PF stay overnight.
3. The neighbor said she saw a red truck and sometimes a dark blue truck at KB residence on a regular basis dropping off baby. He routinely blocked her driveway with his truck.
4. The neighbor stated they kept to themselves. She did see KB outside a lot reading w/ K.
5. KB was visited by her mother quite a few times.
And more info from WPU - they showed video w/ CBI and FBI taking boxes of stuff from KB home and loading them in a truck.
edited to clarify info

Well, here is statistics.

Percent of Women Killed by Husbands or Boyfriends - The Atlantic

"The CDC analyzed the murders of women in 18 states from 2003 to 2014, finding a total of 10,018 deaths. Of those, 55 percent were intimate partner violence-related, meaning they occurred at the hands of a former or current partner or the partner’s family or friends. In 93 percent of those cases, the culprit was a current or former romantic partner. The report also bucks the strangers-in-dark-alleys narrative common to televised crime dramas: Strangers perpetrated just 16 percent of all female homicides, fewer than acquaintances and just slightly more than parents
About a third of the time, the couple had argued right before the homicide took place, and about 12 percent of the deaths were associated with jealousy. The majority of the victims were under the age of 40, and 15 percent were pregnant. About 54 percent were gun deaths.".

So if we assume murder (not ready yet), then 55% chance - It was former romantic partner, PF most likely but someone else not excluded

In between (percentage wise) - acquaintance or parents - still need to know about her past life or someone obsessed with her?

16% - stranger

33% chance of arguing before death

12% chance the reason being jealousy

15% chance pregnancy

This is why, while LE seems to be focusing on PF, other options are still possible.

Thank you for posting that. So "only" 55% of murdered women were killed by a former or current partner. I'm sure it depends on the circumstances and every case is different.

You know, I think we should explore the possibility that KB went off with or was abducted by a stranger or acquaintance.

One thing to think about---KB's house is centrally located in Woodland Park, and is a few-minutes walk to several bars and micro-breweries on Highway 24, the main thoroughfare in town. (See picture.) It is very possible that, after PF picked the child up from her house on Thanksgiving Day, KB grabbed her purse and her phone and walked down the street to get something to eat or drink. She could have gone to meet a friend or friends, or she might have gone alone. Lots and lots of traffic on Hwy 24, as it is one of the major routes from the plains into the mountains---lots of people would have been traveling through Woodland Park on their way to ski resorts and other mountain destinations. Plenty of unsavory characters.

Note: The "pin" is KB's house.

this is possible but doesn't jibe with PF's behavior.

Good Guess.
That spot sounds like a possible candidate for not only the phone being tossed but possibly a body as well.

It made me wonder. I have to wonder if someone had 100 phones that were completely turned off and threw each one off of the bridge to have them smash onto the rocks, then what are the odds that 1 or more of them would send out a ping signal as its electronics became smashed, meshed together, short circuited, etc.?

Could something that like explain the last mystery ping?

Wonder if any studies have ever been done to see if smashing a perfectly good phone that is turned off would occasionally make a last solitary ping as it fizzles out and breaks apart? Hmmmmm
Try it and see what happens. C'mon Hatfield, take one for the team. :p

No. They haven’t mentioned what, if anything, was found during their search.

Unless there is a leak, we will have to wait.
Thank you. I saw a couple of posts in the other thread stating that nothing was found during either search of his home and just wondered if I missed an article by MSM. I was out shopping for a few hours, so I thought I just missed it. Apparently, we have some folks assuming things again, and they don't like to put MOO or JMO, making it appear as a fact instead of speculation.

Even worse. :(

Sorry, I do not mean to put down farmers. First and foremost, it is a very hard work. One really has to love it.

My dad, who grew up in a small town, basically a village (he ended up moving to a big city and becoming a professor), and me, had very different response to the smell of manure. Me, "phew!". Dad, smiling "smells of a cow".

So people who live on the farms and raise livestock usually have ties to it, love it.

" Only" a little more than half are killed by intimate partners? That same article said 16% are murdered by strangers.

Tell me where to send my old phone for the experiment, lol.

I wonder if we should try dropping one from a plane as well.

The Malad Gorge also popped into my head when this case was first mentioned. My daughter said to me later someone needs to look in the Malad Gorge.
