Let me pose for a moment and suggest that he is tried & convicted for murdering KB....

What are the chances that KB's Mom could raise the grandchild (vs the mother of a convicted felon)?

I have made a huge number of assumptions, but am curious for the child....

Wondering if it’s bed sheets...

But what could it be? Blood? Wouldn't they have found that long ago? I mean we expect his DNA to be there. Unless it's someone else's DNA.

Or like someone said, carpet samples. Someone can clean and not get it all.

So no news conference tonight. Sounds like they've got a busy night recording evidence.

They must be close to figuring out what happened to KB. I feel sick right now.

I would say chances would be good, but would depend on custody battle in Colorado? Good attorney question.

She could file for guardianship and it would be a contest between her and other relations. She would have a better chance at getting contact that way, though, even if she lost her petition to be guardian.

I feel we are still so far away from something like that.

That was typed up before all of this transpired, IMO. Also, where there is heavy police, FBI and others in a couple of places, I would think they would be smart enough to not draw attention to themselves with whatever they are doing right now. I really feel something is going on that they have to keep quiet about- perhaps they don't want the perp to make a run for it.

Any of you have teenagers? Know how they will disagree with you just for the sake of disagreeing? o_O

Floorboards, especially hard wood, fluids can leak inbetween the boards and the human eye may not catch that.

Don't they say possession is 9/10ths of the law. The reality is that whatever happens, in that scenario, hopefully the right thing will be done by the child. She doesn't deserve to lose contact with either side of her family. His family shouldn't be painted by the same brush and aren't responsible for his actions. The child also needs to see that they are loved by everyone and that her gene pool isn't totally corrupt.

Thanks.....I'm just hoping this little girl can have some kind of positive outcome.

You are right, of course - so far away from this.

The sad thing is even if arrested, he has say about what happens to his child and "status quo" is greatly considered in determining where the child would go. They look at who the kid is most familiar with.

I say "sad thing" because I feel for the victim's families in cases like this who sometimes never get to see the kids again.

Continue to have a hard time envisioning that anything much occurred INSIDE the house. 700 sq ft duplex, broad daylight, seems like someone would hear an attack and someone would see a body being transported.

But there is obviously something of great interest there. Did they find more cinnamon rolls?

Jmo they must think she is not to be found in the area near her home.

Drain traps?
It does seem odd to me that it took this long to find possible evidence. I mean hasn't her brother been through the house. Wouldn't that comprise evidence?
