Off topic but I like that. The tile and the flooring. Great for allergies and cleaning.
And especially great if you have pets.

Continue to have a hard time envisioning that anything much occurred INSIDE the house. 700 sq ft duplex, broad daylight, seems like someone would hear an attack and someone would see a body being transported.

But there is obviously something of great interest there. Did they find more cinnamon rolls?

I had to chuckle despite the fact that none of this is funny. I guess we need some comic relief now and then to keep us going :)

And/or weed.
Yes, I knew a man who had a hidden room in his house and had pot growing under lights and a huge credenza hiding the door to it.

. following...sadly I do not have much hope that she is still alive

That was typed up before all of this transpired, IMO. Also, where there is heavy police, FBI and others in a couple of places, I would think they would be smart enough to not draw attention to themselves with whatever they are doing right now. I really feel something is going on that they have to keep quiet about- perhaps they don't want the perp to make a run for it.
That came out and was handed to the reporter - that image comes from his twitter feed - an hour after we were getting tweets about the police presence at the house and even 10 minutes after they played video of the FBI evidence van going somewhere.

Thanks for not being offended - I realize it was borderline. I just have this feeling that people are overreacting a little and thinking an arrest is imminent when it may not be. Sitting on pins and needles is going to be stressful but don’t worry - I’m here all week. ;)

Evidence could also point to somebody else planning on meeting at her home after the baby went home with PF. I'm sure Kelsey had a life outside of work and exchanging the baby for visitation. Those texts could be very telling. I'm sure somebody is worried and well should be.
I still don't understand why no searches and no rallying the townsfolk.
Can anybody local tell us if there are missing posters in the storefront and gas station windows?

I haven't been to lots of stores in town, but I haven't seen any. The town newspaper did have KB on the front page this week, published yesterday.

Yes, it said that it was released at 6:45pm...that was less than an hour ago.

Wow, it is small isn’t it?
My bedroom is literally bigger than her entire house....
Good thing she has a small house, less to search!

I don't know. But DNA evidence - doesn't seem like it would be useful against PF. They know he's been there.
Could it be her dna, having survived a cleanup attempt, but revealed by luminol? Blood could've gotten into cracks between the wooden or laminate flooring, etc....

Floorboards, especially hard wood, fluids can leak inbetween the boards and the human eye may not catch that.

Seems like we would know if they were pulling up floorboards. As small as the house is, they would almost have to take the floorboards out of the house to have room to move around.

Don't they say possession is 9/10ths of the law. The reality is that whatever happens, in that scenario, hopefully the right thing will be done by the child. She doesn't deserve to lose contact with either side of her family. His family shouldn't be painted by the same brush and aren't responsible for his actions. The child also needs to see that they are loved by everyone and that her gene pool isn't totally corrupt.

I’m probably one of those people you consider to be “overreacting.”

Heaven forbid we have real emotions or feelings about a possible break in the case or for the fate of the victim.

I, IMO, think it’s coming together fast. No, I don’t have a link for that.

Sometimes they don't know that some things are important evidence, until they get deeper into the investigation.

I wonder if someone who knows what happened finally decided to speak to LE about it.

What is upsetting me is that they are using brown bags to preserve evidence. Brown bags are used for wet evidence. Of course, my mind is now spinning in too many directions on as to what they have found and are taking out.
Possibly they have cleaned the drains and traps in her plumbing looking for where someone may have cleaned up after a crime.
