Just a thought on the apparent urgency of this evenings activities. By late afternoon today it became apparent a government shutdown is likely. Some resources may be pared back. Also, some personnel may be lost next week due to Christmas. They may just be trying to get as much done as they can now.

Wow, it is small isn’t it?
I can’t imagine living in a place that small. When I was in college and got married, we lived in a high-rise condo that was 900 sq ft. And THAT was tiny. To think of shaving off a 20 ft x 10 ft area from an already cramped space...

20+ days and now they have multiple brown bags worth of evidence from her house? eh what?

Again, I’m at the police station. So, piecing this together, it sure looks like they came back for more of those bags. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #FindKelseyBerreth

So agree with this!

there's no carpet in her house.
if anyone is curious to what the inside looks like...

Cute little nest for her and her baby.

Floorboards, especially hard wood, fluids can leak inbetween the boards and the human eye may not catch that.

Is there a crawl space? Septic tank? He had days to clean that property up before her family descended on it. Wondering also if they have been staying there this entire time.

I’m probably one of those people you consider to be “overreacting.”

Heaven forbid we have real emotions or feelings about a possible break in the case or for the fate of the victim.

I, IMO, think it’s coming together fast. No, I don’t have a link for that.

JMO
I wasn’t talking about anyone’s emotions or feelings, love. Just the fact that we might tend to misinterpret how imminent the arrest is. That’s all.

I think she's likely no longer here. I hope I'm wrong. But if she's not here, I hope there's swift justice. I'm not feeling that though. Praying for a break but I'm not feeling it.
I don't feel it either. If there is an arrest soon, and if it was PF, I have a strong feeling he will not admit to anything. Just like Dellen Millard, our Canadian poster boy of arrogance. Still claims he's innocent! I also have this nagging feeling that PF also had a little help to cover his tracks.

These are just my thoughts. With the use of luminol plus examining the drains, traps, plumbing and the possibility of septic, these are both areas of interest that normally might be glazed over on initial investigation, add in they dug up his yard. One piece of the puzzle may expose another.

This does sound like something may be happening soon. Sounds like they have way more evidence than we knew.

What is puzzling is that yesterday they took out one sealed box along with two other boxes that had a few paper bags in each but now they are going in with rolls of paper bags that would seem to indicate they are going to take a lot of things out that would fit in bags. I have trouble conceiving of what would require that many bags that either would not have been discovered yesterday or was discovered but not collected until today. I sure hope this isn't posturing by law enforcement.

Yes, I knew a man who had a hidden room in his house and had pot growing under lights and a huge credenza hiding the door to it.

do we know if there is a basement? They are very common in places with cold winters.

In light of tonight's developments, I'm going to post my question again, in case any verified attorneys can answer. The last thread was closed before anyone could respond, I think. I have no idea how extensive the previous search was, but this search looks more intrusive.

I have a legal question for any of the verified attorneys. I think I know the answer, but I'm not certain....

In a missing person case like this, isn't it true that LE would have to obtain a search warrant to enter KB's home and search for clues of her disappearance?

I know that they can enter without a warrant when there are exigent circumstances, and I think that includes situations like LE being asked to do a welfare check---they can enter to see if a person is present or injured or dead.

But since KB is missing and cannot consent to a full-blown search with the collection of evidence and all that---and I wouldn't think KB's mom could consent on her behalf unless (maybe) she has a power of attorney or something.....

So it seems like LE would need to apply for an obtain a search warrant for the new searches yesterday and today.....am I right?

Added: and also, I believe a warrant has to specify what they are looking for, right? And what they are looking for might change depending on whether it is a missing person or murder case?

TIA

Following Sam and Ryan over there. Continues to look like the case may be starting to break, imho. Sam said there *may* be an update even tonight.

I will remember this is an "update" and not a presser!!

Could be. On the other hand, there were people who predicted that Chris Watts would never plead guilty.

I think anyone from the fbi working on this case is probably deemed an essential employee. IMO.
But potus did sign an executive order giving all federal employees the day off on Monday.

Maybe they're taking out sections of drywall...

In addition to the items LE took from the Waste Management location Tuesday that PF and helpers disposed of. I think they have puzzle pieces just have to put it all together. PF was driving a green truck today so they must still have his red one.

Grocery items ? Looking for DNA or fingerprints off the misc. items they know were bought at the Safeway that Thanksgiving Day ?..... What if the perp put her groceries up afterwards to clean up ?

No matter what, I see these developments as a good thing. They appear to be making progress, and may very well be on their way to making a case.

The reality is that KB has likely been deceased for close to a month.

I don’t think they will be able to recover her body, until they get someone to lead them to her.

They’ll likely need leverage to do that, and evidence can provide that leverage.

I agree with what you're saying but these arrogant perps aren't intimidated by leverage. Even once you've got them they keep on lying. Dellen Millard was just handed his third consecutive life sentence and he still maintains he's innocent and is launching appeals. I've never seen such hubris.
